- Yes, I went on vacation and had no clue where I was going until we actually got to the final destination - Oak Island, NC. Wilmington, you have my heart! It was TOTALLY worth the surprise! This journey is always interesting with this guy by my side, and what a beautiful way to celebrate the end of the summer and bring in my birthday!

I am actually from Wilmington, NC. I now live about an hour away in Jacksonville, NC. I would have died if I had seen you guys in the very town that I was born and raised in. TRID, you are very sneaky, and I truly loved every minute of it.

Glad you got to enjoy some of the beautiful NC coast, My sister lives north of there in sneads ferry and I lived in cherry grove for years beautiful area.. Now I live about 1.5 hours from there but frequent the area

Came back to this video. To share something in celebration of the joys of travel and the support of family. I live in Michigan. Last month I visited with my sister in Riverside California. Was an amazing experience that left a strong impression on me. Here, I would love to share a piece I wrote. Had wondered if this would make a good lyric to a song. But in any event...just wanted to share as a thank you for the Joys you share♥♥♥
"Surrender"
Love will find me.
The desert air had changed the texture of my skin.
Early mornings looking into the bathroom mirror,
Showed a face that seemed carved like the dry clay landscape of the household I visited with.
Love will find me.
I got so tickled by the two German Shepard dogs that lived there.
One always brought a soaked tennis ball to me, "play fetch"?
Throwing it, this adorable dog would get it, find a shady spot and would take a nap. I couldn't stop laughing at this.
Love will find me.
The other dog greeted me each morning.
Big brown eyes, tail wagging. wanting me to pet his head and scratch behind his ears. I would say "okay" to him. And he would find a space nearby, basking in the sunlight. As if guarding my spirit.
Love will find me.
I so enjoyed visiting my sister. Her husband, my brother-in-law.
Their son....my nephew living on the same property in another house with his wife and the two dogs. Seeing their daughter....my niece for the first time. Visiting her horses. Seeing the ranch. It was all so different. So unusual.
Love will find me.
We often went to the gym to workout. Me on treadmills doing my walks. My sister and my brother-in-law working through their routines.
As I rested near a set of TVs and drinks....a woman came nearby.
She looked to be about my age. Tall, short grey hair, gorgeous skin.
She seemed to want to say something to me. And me, knowing my time in California was about to come to an end....I just didn't know to speak or not. We exchanged smiles. A silent greeting. I wished I had said something. To break the ice.
Love will find me.
The whole landscape of my visit was surrounded by mountains. Warm air. Dried palm trees.
The possibilities of a new place to move to. A warmer place. Near the remaining family, my birth family.
So many questions.
The journey of the unknown.
Love will find me.
Someone inspired a thought.
A phrase. Perhaps my own personal message.
Surrender can be the greatest gift ever.
And yes......Love will find me♥

That's amazing for 1 her trust factor to board a plane not knowing where or the weather for that matter 😂 an I was confused who the people were like, were they relatives 🤔🤔

Fun fact; Oak Island is only about 20 miles from Frying Pan Shoals, which extend off Cape Fear. Frying Pan Shoals and Cape Fear are some of the most dangerous waters for shipping on the East Coast of North America. The winds and Gulf Stream current can create some really rough seas here that can drive ships into the shoals. Many, many a ship has found themselves grounded and then sunk on these shoals, and many a sailor has died as a result. It's not named Cape Fear for nothing.

I'm really surprised how Trid or anyone around him didn't knew how to remove water from an ear. One has to keep hopping on single leg as same side of the ear of concern while pointing the ear downwards and let the gravity do the work, add some additional swing if can do. It looks funny doing but it really works and gives relief.
My 4yr old son saw me watching their videos.. Got intrigued and joined me.. After a while he said 'i like this woman' i asked 'what did you like in her?'
He said 'She laughs a lot'😀
