Had the pleasure of watching this special tonight. Her power and understanding of every song she sings (and performs ) is joyous and beyond comparison as she is clearly aware of the shoulders of the great ladies who came before her. ( I spied a tattoo of Ladyday on her arm as testament to this). My only gripe is that the concert was clearly longer and I selfishly wanted to savour more of this ladies talents .
The beauty of all of the different parts of this song radiate joy...the band is so tight, the synergy between Cynthia and Ben and the backup singers are absolutely stupendous!
