Your message at the end of the video had me more than a little emotional. I love your modern day videos my man! This is the first UA-cam video of Desmond returning to Abstergo where I saw someone use the trees in the courtyard to move around and it was awesome. Thank you for these.

4:20 The joke's on Cross there. He has a gun but what do Desmond have? A precursor weapon that turns guns against you, f**ks with your mind. Always makes me smile there, people in Abstergo just have no clue that they are facing a man trained by master assassins wielding a Godly artifact with what - hand guns and batons...
I'm glad you made this video showing how good the present day scenes we're. IMO they were on of the best in the games to get a glimpse of how an assassin would fight and use stealth in the modern day. Still hurts to this day that they gave us what they did today in the ac games
Did anyone else realise the background music in certain parts is identitical to odyssey's theme? Never knew this is what they took influence from when making odyssey
They didn't. All the background music in this video was edited in, by me. I used "Enter the Animus" from AC Odyssey because it's great Present Day/cyberpunk music. :D
Imagine if ac story was the same in 1-revelations but it all was leading towards desmonds being a full assassin and then going on and challenging Abstergo in modern day and it will be the last part in the series... that would have been amazing
Very goood. played with passion and attention to detail.. omg. very good. It is played so good that it shows less of the bad design devs did with this... instead enhances the value.
That's exactly what I hoped to achieve. My objective was, by showing this mission in the best capacity I could, it might make players and developers alike see the potential this setting has, if it were given the necessary care, attention, and resources to make it stronger. We went from missions like this, to stabbing four guys in a cave, to listening to messages and moving blocks around in Origins and Odyssey. It's definitely a downgrade in the new games compared to this.
I stumbled upon this video again and it never gets old, and just now I realize an interesting fact: When you are chasing Cross across the railings above, you can see the animation for Cross's jumps is the same as Altair and Ezio's, while Desmond has Connor's jumping animation. Connor's free running is faster than the other two, I interpret this as Desmond becoming far more capable than Cross thanks to Connor's more instinctive movements. Cross's ability got stale after just visiting one ancestor (NIkolai), rather than learning from other possible ancestors, unlike Desmond.
Same, if there's one aesthetic change I would've hoped for, it would have been that. As it is, naturally they use Connor's animations for him because they pull from the animation-sets present in the current game, which makes sense, but it would've been sick to see his other ancestors shine through too.
What an incredible line. No drawn-out explanation, nothing. Just simple honesty, because the truth isn't that complicated. It makes sense. Desmond has lived the lives of several Assassins who all lost their family, typically at the hands of Templars, either through being killed or through being ideologically apart, like Haytham. So when Templars have _his_ father, he knows exactly what's at stake.
I just posted my first heavily choreographed run on Reddit, and I chose this mission because it's just so fucking cool. This is the one where all the passion and hard work really went, even going so far as to introduce new unique equipment to set it apart from the historical gameplay
I just watched it, that was fucking wicked! The Present Day environments in Remastered look really cool, and you did a great job chaining together creative flow.
These guys are clowns if they think they're going to step up to the descendant of Altair lmao. I also love how it 'mirrors' the endings of AC1 and AC2; Altair in Arsuf and Ezio in the Vatican, both going balls out horde mode on the enemies.
Also cross kind of had a point, he could carry a handgun by default, like I know it's not the assassin's way, but something projectile like a gun is kind of standard in the 21st century
Indeed. He was ill-prepared. But he still crushed everyone because he's got the instincts of Altair Ibn-La'Ahad and two other absolute legends. God, AC used to be so fucking sick.
@@LeoKRogue I wish his Dad asked him how'd you make it this far?? And he'd be like I got mad historic skills And true I miss OG AC games, playing brotherhood and unity again is so rewarding especially the range of control they granted the player
Brutally killed soldiers in the animus: Looks like a cool assassin Brutally killed the security guards inside the big company office in modern times: Looks like some murders
Over the past two years I've learned that a game is much more than its creative director. It's also about the exact grouping of other people that work together to build it. That's why, for example, Hideo Kojima preserved and took with him 80% of his entire team that worked on MGS1, all the way through MGS2, 3, 4, 5, and even Death Stranding -- because he actually realizes and understands this. I think the bigger issue is rather that the kind of things Ubisoft Editorial, and Ubisoft upper management _want_ from Assassin's Creed, ended up pushing away a lot of the devs, artists, writers, and hundreds of other talented people who made the games we really loved. Patrice is just a part of it.
I still find it weird how Abstergo's security guards only used batons and pistols here yet in AC1 when the other Assassins try to rescue Desmond you can clearly hear automatic gunfire in the background. And I know it would have probably been too complicated to code the AI for automatic weapons, but they could've at least given some of them shotguns.
@@LeoKRogue yeah, they could have just reused animations from the musket guards and given at least one or two of them a Remington 870 or a Benelli M1014 during encounters although doing that would probably have taken more time during development. And they would have had to find some way to balance it out. But what we got is decent enough.
@@LeoKRogue thank you for making the videos man! They are all really well made from your gameplay to guides on different games it’s all so damn swag. Hope you’re doing well and hope you keep making the great videos
also , implying that there is no actual carriable medicine for connor this also means that he never got hit in combat unless it was you know cutscenes or something
Seeing again the room where Desmond explored Altair's memories way back in AC1 feels nostalgic and poignant to me, for some reason. He was just an inexperienced, powerless, scared and confused man back then. But he returned here as a badass, lethal Master Assassin. Ugh, I miss Desmond and I miss meaningful and engaging present-day AC storyline.
Because as we all know, the most recently invented weapon used by an Assassin in the whole series is the Heckler & Koch Mark 23. So much for "it wouldn't work", am I right? Question, it seems that there is a reload animation for the handgun in this mission. Does it have a set ammo capacity before it needs to reload or can you fire it infinitely? Realistically, the magazines should hold 12 rounds, as I doubt the game would track the round in the chamber.
I don't actually remember, but this would be a great thing to test. God, I miss badass knife-and-pistol Present Day gameplay. This was one of the most epic gaming experiences I've ever had, all while, on the face of it, it's so simple and not terribly complex.
@@LeoKRogue it was a pretty damn cool mission, absolutely. It would also be nice if you could find out the capacity of the pistol, I personally can't check because I have no idea where most of my Xbox 360 games are anymore. You know what else would be cool? Modding the game on PC to see how busted the Mark 23 would be while using it as Connor.
There really should have been a modern day Assassin's Creed starring Desmond as a full fledged assassin. They fucked up so hard with killing him off. What's the point of making you connect with this character and watch him GROW just to see him GO?! Wtf Ubisoft?!
Desmond Miles takes no fall damage in Present Day in any of the Assassin's Creed games. "Hard Falls" are not Fall Damage. (You can test this in Cheat Engine, for example, another easy in-game way to check it is the fact that you can't die from falls -- unless you plummet off the side of the Skyscraper or something.)
@@LeoKRogue huh, I never knew that. I always thought that if the screen did a little shaky thing it was because you took damage. And the lack of any HUD made me think there was no health bar, you just die after like 5 hits
Holy sh*t man I found you in the comments of an ac unity video and I remembered who you were and I checked your channel and I was subscribed. I’ve definitely subscribed over a year ago while you were live streaming (think you were speedrunning one of the older assassin creed games but I don’t really remember). Damn that’s crazy too me tho.
All of the music in this video was edited in by me, I don't want to mislead people, I just used Modern Day or cyberpunk-sounding tracks that I think fit the setting and time period, and one of the songs I used was Enter the Animus from AC Odyssey.
@@LeoKRogue Just purchased the entire AC series on PC and will be playing for the first time in 8 years since AC3. Havent played any of the games passed that. Been absorbing your videos the last two days, love the content here
I used to completely hate the future sections of the games but recently I’ve payed more attention to desmonds story and it is flawed but way better than I thought
It is, for sure! ^__^ I love Present Day. Some would say it's the main story of the entire series. After all, everything in the past has already happened, even though it's quite exciting.
It is not, I took it from Odyssey's OST because it's one of the best Present Day tracks in the series. All of the background music in this video was mixed / cut / edited by me, I actually recorded the game with Music Disabled. That's the only one in the vid that's from Odyssey though, the rest are from AC3.

Wow I never knew gun executions were a thing in present day too. Excellent fight sequence there. Such a shame we only get to showcase everything Desmond learned in this tiny segment where you just have to rush through, like this is all just an elaborate cutscene...
Indeed. You can play around with it some, and there's definitely some gameplay to it, but it feels like you just get a taste and then we never got Present Day with stealth, parkour and combat this advanced ever again. It's a shame.
always use the hidden blade in the left hand but because ubisoft is too lazy to animate new combat moves for desmond put the blade in the right hand so they can reuse the animations of connor
as much as I love this section of the game, desmond acts like a dumbass here First off, he's the only one with a hood in a place of templar scientists; most of them knowing hooded people are their enemies He goes into an elevator even when he's in hostile territory (vidic points this out in 1:25) He then goes up to Cross without a gun, (which Cross points out). Also, while Cross walks towards him, preparing to kill, Desmond just stands there, ready to die, not running away at all. Maybe i'm missing something, but *what* 4:20 Desmond then proceeds to go into an elevator AGAIN 6:00
Ever since playing it again on the Switch (please Ubisoft, port 1-Rev to that system), my first time playing it since I played at the original release, and watching how stylish you are at it, I think my favorite parts about it are 1) just how good more modern segments could have been if they combined this and the blending missions for those, and 2) Desmond’s growth in both belief and combat. Remembering his Escape from Abstergo in AC2, where his punches were slow and clumsy, to this, and seeing how committed he is to his dad and being an Assassin...*sigh* if only they continued it.
I knowwww, it would have been amazing! :'( I'm really hoping that Ubisoft eventually creates some cool, 3rd Person Stealth-Action missions in Present Day for the newer games, if they _ever_ return to what made the classic Assassin's Creed saga so amazing in the first place.
@@LeoKRogue wait... Imagine a game.. dedicated to defeating Juno. IMAGINE. Imagine if (although highly improbable) Abstergo and the assassins forced to join forces to defeat Juno. Imagine the amount of different weaponry you would have
Does anyone else wish there were two ways you could go about this scenario? Like you can do this and walk right in, or have there be another option where you can Splinter Cell your way in and enter through ventilation or something and remain unseen?
Always wish for stuff like that in Assassin's Creed. Still, I can't complain too much. At least we actually got meaningful Present Day gameplay back in the day. Now we don't even get this much. 😅
So I just noticed this, in the background, a different version of the Ac odyssey theme plays but obviously they wouldn’t have known that unless they just re used whatever song is playing in the background for ac odyssey, can someone clear this up for me?
All of the music in this video was edited in and timed by me personally. I use various pieces of Present Day music, most of them are from AC3, but "Enter the Animus" from Odyssey fit too perfectly as a "slow build-up" atmospheric theme that I just had to use it.
There's a comic where there's an assassin in the Vietnam War. I'd love to see that and think that's as modern of an assassin's creed we can get. I'd play it if it was made traditional AC style and not RPG
That would be cool indeed. Alas, Ubisoft's stance on stories told in transmedia (books, comics, movies etc) is that they're there because they couldn't be made as a full game.
That is super messed up O__O Have you killed _all_ guards before that point? The only other thing I can imagine trying is Restarting the Checkpoint or Mission. (Quit the game and relaunch.) Let me know how it goes.
Thanks for being cognizant of how meaningless it is and admitting it's just a tease. Minor fall damage in Present Day doesn't actually deplete HP when measured in CheatEngine, as far as I know. Getting struck or shot by guards does, though.
Desmond(a skinny white male): Boy, let me walk into a heavily populated corporate building with my hoodie up and a backpack Yea, Desmond must not of kept up with the news😂
Thank you, thank you. I chose not to count it since it wasn't a hit from an enemy and Desmond is basically immune to fall-damage in all playable Present Day segments. He does react / flinch upon impact but yeah.
It's kind of a shame that Desmond doesn't fight more like Ezio here. I know there are practical limitations given the new system and animation work and stuff involved, but the main point of the Ezio arc diagetically was to train Desmond. Seeing Desmon fight more like Ezio, especially in a game whose ancestor fought much differently to Ezio, would have been a nice touch in keeping with that premise. It seems like it would have mostly required porting over some Ezio animations for hidden blade kills.
Could've been possible, but him fighting like Connor is equally justifiable because he is the Ancestor with whom his muscle-memory and brain Synchronized most recently. This is just how his body is used to moving at this point after so much time syncing with him in the Grand Temple. I think the real solution would've been to simply have _more_ Present Day combat in AC2 and especially Brotherhood. The end fight against Vidic's forces in AC2 was sick, but I was expecting at least one more big encounter like that at some point before AC3 hit. Alas.
@@LeoKRogue You're not wrong. But, I like the pay off that Desmond spending so much time syncing with one ancestor to training having lingering effects.
I hated how you couldn't use fists in this mission. These guys are taking you on with bare fists and you have to use arms. While Connor could do the exact opposite.
I think it's pretty sick to be slaughtering these bastards with guns and blades, like Desmond's not here to mess around, he's here to do business and get stuff done. I'm pretty sure you're still able to switch to Fists like usual though, no? They'd just be on their standard/Default hotkey?
@@LeoKRogue I wish Ubi made a REAL modern-day AC game, with a silenced pistol and a wrist taser for non lethal takedowns. Also, you would need to always use stealth, since people with guns would one shot you
@@squarek123 I'd be up for it, yeah. They could do Modern Day HP the same way they did Damage in AC1-Revelations, where when your Health Bar is being depleted, that's guards whiffing their bullets on you, so they're just flying past you just off to the side of your head and body. Then when your HP finally hits 1, that last bullet would hit you and you'd go down in a hail of gunfire. Something like that. So you'd have to like, run past people quickly, get back to cover, throw off their aim for your "dodge" to regenerate etc
Mhm. To be more exact, it's "Enter the Animus" which is Odyssey's Present Day Theme. I thought its haunting cyberpunk mood would perfectly fit the opening feel of this mission, so I edited it in. All of the music in this video has actually been edited in afterward on a Music Volume: 0 game recording, for a more immersive experience.
Fall Damage in Present Day isn't reflected in the player's health-level, but if you fall off into like, a "void," so if you fall through an actual death-trigger (like off the side of a building in the Skyscraper level, or down into the ring in Stadium) you'll die. Thank you!
How did you make it so that when you parry it doesn't slow time down? Is there a setting I can turn off? It looks way better than when it completely slows down for you. Slowing it down makes it too easy and uncinematic.

Thanks! Yeah, I love Present Day and I'd love to get something like this again.

I'm reminded of that memo you can find in Rogue talking about employees being *absolutely* prohibited from wearing hoods of any kind.
Amazing.
I love the message at the end
I'm glad. It was important for me to say.
Remember 2012, play with Desmond was insane. Men, i really miss him.
Wait i didnt notice that Desmond picked up the gun😮 never knew you could shoot in that mission
Yup yup!
First thing I tried to do when I saw him hold it in the cutscene, especially when it's handing under his right arm in gameplay.
How you didnt
Did anyone else realise the background music in certain parts is identitical to odyssey's theme? Never knew this is what they took influence from when making odyssey
They didn't. All the background music in this video was edited in, by me. I used "Enter the Animus" from AC Odyssey because it's great Present Day/cyberpunk music. :D
Imagine if ac story was the same in 1-revelations but it all was leading towards desmonds being a full assassin and then going on and challenging Abstergo in modern day and it will be the last part in the series... that would have been amazing
It would've been truly perfect.
When I was first playing the games back in 2007-2012 That's what I was hoping for.
The good old days when you can actually use your hidden blade in combat
Oh, how we miss them x_x
Very goood. played with passion and attention to detail.. omg.
I stumbled upon this video again and it never gets old, and just now I realize an interesting fact:
When you are chasing Cross across the railings above, you can see the animation for Cross's jumps is the same as Altair and Ezio's, while Desmond has Connor's jumping animation. Connor's free running is faster than the other two, I interpret this as Desmond becoming far more capable than Cross thanks to Connor's more instinctive movements. Cross's ability got stale after just visiting one ancestor (NIkolai), rather than learning from other possible ancestors, unlike Desmond.
That is a neat thing to think about, I like that idea. Cross is such a tragic character. I gotta re-read Subject 4 soon.
Thank you for not making the guards kill themselves at the end. :)
They just work there, and they would cause _more_ damage to Abstergo if they're allowed to see and feel the Apple's effects and talk about it after.
I wish Desmond used a mixture of Altair's, Ezio's and Connor's animations, to show how they influenced him in the way he fights.
Same, if there's one aesthetic change I would've hoped for, it would have been that. As it is, naturally they use Connor's animations for him because they pull from the animation-sets present in the current game, which makes sense, but it would've been sick to see his other ancestors shine through too.
I love how creative you got with the gun, you didn't only kill them, you styled on them.
Thanks! We only get a proper modern pistol this one time in the entire series, I had to make the most of it. ^_^
"You put everything on the line, and for what? So you could rescue your father..."
"Yeah."
@@LeoKRogue You're so right. The face of William and Desmond says it all.
We beed a full game set on the modern day perhaps taking place during the events of 1-3
I would love that so much. Man..
Now that is how a modern assasin should move. Pay respect to the past and future and use both gun and sword.
Yesss, exactly. I love it so much.
Bruh when he pulled out the gun that was dope
Real John Wick hours.
For someone who spends most of his day lying down in a glorified VR game Desmond’s muscles are very actually
Quite shocking as well, for someone who was _blatantly accused_ of getting fat by Lucy in Brotherhood; joke or not.
"My name is Desmond Miles, and this is my story." I miss this!!
Same x_x
Such a ballsy move to go alone in the hornets nest, the place where you were held hostage at first, armed with knives.
And he'd be like I got mad historic skills
And true I miss OG AC games, playing brotherhood and unity again is so rewarding especially the range of control they granted the player
I always laughed at security guards pulling out their pistols line British officers
Just gotta be happy we even got these missions at all x_x Would love to see a day where Present Day gets way more love, bespoke animations etc
Brutally killed soldiers in the animus: Looks like a cool assassin
Brutally killed the security guards inside the big company office in modern times: Looks like some murders
Indeed, makes you think. It's all a matter of perspective, imagine how those brutal murders looked like to people of that time period, right? :D
Man if only Patrice still in Ubisoft, maybe AC3 will be us playing as fully train Desmond against Abstergo(just like what he intend to).
0:09 wait isn't that the odyssey theme
Very good ear, yes it is. I edited in Enter the Animus from the ACOd OST because it's amazing Present Day music. I think it worked out pretty well.
It did
Templar goons: Hey, you see that guy who's been learning assassin moves over the last 4 games? Let's fight him.
They have a ton of funding but not a lot of brain cells.
That'd have been great.
@@LeoKRogue yeah, they could have just reused animations from the musket guards and given at least one or two of them a Remington 870 or a Benelli M1014 during encounters although doing that would probably have taken more time during development. And they would have had to find some way to balance it out.
But what we got is decent enough.
Fuck man don’t think I’ve ever actually found a channel that has the same sort of love I put into this series all those years ago until now
Thank you for watching.
@@LeoKRogue thank you for making the videos man! They are all really well made from your gameplay to guides on different games it’s all so damn swag. Hope you’re doing well and hope you keep making the great videos
Desmond's moves with a gun are uniquely his moves and that's super cool
I find it so awesome. I wish we could've gotten to play as him more, but this is a pretty great final mission for him.
5:32 beat drop perfectly syncs with Desmond falling
There are so many cool moments in this mission, the Present Day setting has so much potential for sick setpieces and gameplay-spaces.
“Mom! I finally got a job as a security guard at the biggest company in the world!”

funny is that desmond has the hidden blade on his right arm but he's doing the hidden blade assassinations with his left arm :D

this also means that he never got hit in combat unless it was you know cutscenes or something

Thanks Recondo. :)
Oh this is so cool, agreed I can’t wait for a present day assassins creed/segments from the present day!!!!!!
The Assassin's Creed movie has a lot of Present Day that I enjoyed quite a lot.
7:07 😩👌
"We enrich [bang] lives [bang] here! [bang]"
Getting the timing for that took me so many tries lol...
I miss it so bad. The series narrative was really damaged by not having a fixed Present Day protagonist that genuinely pushed the story forward.
Assassins creed 3 had the best modern day missions.
It did. I loved them so much.
Good video. I love how you used the music.
Thank you! I really enjoyed making this one.
There really should have been a modern day Assassin's Creed starring Desmond as a full fledged assassin. They fucked up so hard with killing him off. What's the point of making you connect with this character and watch him GROW just to see him GO?! Wtf Ubisoft?!
Big mood. Imagine all the potential, it could've been so wicked.
Fall damage at 5:50 time to redo
Life is an odd beast like that.
Remember when AC is AC?
I remember. :[
To think he has the experience of Altair, Ezio, and Connor at this point.
Hey I noticed you used the Modern Assassin theme all the time, nice one
Enter the Animus -> An Uncertain Present -> Modern Assassin -> The Apple, is the progression of songs I used in this video. Thank you!
The Remaster of this game can't come soon enough! I need it now.
You know it! I might redo these vids as one "package" or bundle when the Remaster hits, if the visuals look much better.
Someone sould make a mod to use Desmond's outfit in the animus, also the gun that Desmond use and the weapons the guards use. (Sorry for bad English)
That'd be sick, if AC were moddable.
@@LeoKRogue Can't be done whit save editor Or anything?
I'm sure someone would have tried by now. AC is a huge franchise with a lot of fans.
@@LeoKRogue Yeah but the mod comunity is very bad XD
Oh ! I've never noticed that before, but the music you hear at the beginning is reused for the Assassin's creed Odyssey main theme
All of the music in this video was edited in by me, I don't want to mislead people, I just used Modern Day or cyberpunk-sounding tracks that I think fit the setting and time period, and one of the songs I used was Enter the Animus from AC Odyssey.
"Q" as your father. I totally missed that eight years ago
Indeed. He's a great actor.

I used to completely hate the future sections of the games but recently I’ve payed more attention to desmonds story and it is flawed but way better than I thought
It is, for sure! ^__^
I love Present Day. Some would say it's the main story of the entire series. After all, everything in the past has already happened, even though it's quite exciting.
Leo K [Rogue] i could never get into the post desmond future stories I felt they were dumb but everything before assassins creed 4 was very well done
Can we take those Tactical batons? Or those other modern weapons?
You can take the Pistol that Cross has on him, after killing him.
I use it in this video. Other than that, no. :[
@@LeoKRogue What about batons?
Its kind of funny when you realize that Abstergo is a multi-millionaire company, yet they don’t arm their guards with guns....
This facility is in Rome and is public-facing. I wouldn't expect guns here. (Also some of the guards do carry weak pistols.)
@@LeoKRogue It’s been a while since I last played AC3....
Is this soundtrack in the beginning that's showing parallels with AC Odysseys soundtrack originally from AC3?

Can you disarm these guys?
I've never actually tried, but I'm pretty sure you can. All their properties are the same as a sword/mace-wielder in the Animus.
No you can't I tried in Brazil and in Abstergo, impossible I guess because the sword animations Doesn't fits the weapon
always use the hidden blade in the left hand but because ubisoft is too lazy to animate new combat moves for desmond put the blade in the right hand so they can reuse the animations of connor
At least they modelled a modern combat knife in his left hand. It just happens to disappear whenever he is out of combat.
as much as I love this section of the game, desmond acts like a dumbass here
First off, he's the only one with a hood in a place of templar scientists; most of them knowing hooded people are their enemies
He goes into an elevator even when he's in hostile territory (vidic points this out in 1:25)
He then goes up to Cross without a gun, (which Cross points out). Also, while Cross walks towards him, preparing to kill, Desmond just stands there, ready to die, not running away at all. Maybe i'm missing something, but *what* 4:20
Desmond then proceeds to go into an elevator AGAIN 6:00
All true :P
there was a removed white room conversation with cross, woulda tied this section together better, also... MODERN ASSASSIN IS THE BEST AC OST
Yeah, I couldn't find a good way to edit it in, I actually really wanted to.
I think ac1 ost was outstanding
I'm really hoping that Ubisoft eventually creates some cool, 3rd Person Stealth-Action missions in Present Day for the newer games, if they _ever_ return to what made the classic Assassin's Creed saga so amazing in the first place.
@@LeoKRogue wait... Imagine a game.. dedicated to defeating Juno. IMAGINE. Imagine if (although highly improbable) Abstergo and the assassins forced to join forces to defeat Juno. Imagine the amount of different weaponry you would have
Desmond is probably the dangerous assassin in the modern time era if it wasn't for the sacrifice that he has to do.
Indeed. That's exactly why he had to do it, from a storytelling level. Quite sad.
@@LeoKRogue That confirms Ubisoft is really a templar company.
Now I want a whole game in the modern day.
Been begging for that for years. T_T
@@LeoKRogue Let’s go. I thought people where gonna hate the idea. But they have got to improve the protagonist
@@LeoKRogue Ah that explains that, thanks for clearing it up
There's a comic where there's an assassin in the Vietnam War.
Never realised the hidden blade is so gigantic
Huuuuge
Perfect marksmanship
Thank you. Desmond is badass that way.
4:05 doesn’t happen for me. empty room. i’m playing on xb1
That is super messed up O__O
Have you killed _all_ guards before that point?
The only other thing I can imagine trying is Restarting the Checkpoint or Mission. (Quit the game and relaunch.) Let me know how it goes.
Just teasing but you did receive damage when you missed that jump while you were chasing Cross
Thanks for being cognizant of how meaningless it is and admitting it's just a tease. Minor fall damage in Present Day doesn't actually deplete HP when measured in CheatEngine, as far as I know. Getting struck or shot by guards does, though.
Desmond(a skinny white male): Boy, let me walk into a heavily populated corporate building with my hoodie up and a backpack
Yea, Desmond must not of kept up with the news😂
The Bleeding Effect, folks. Not even once xD
5:48 - I don't know if you count it as one but there's your damage right there. Fall damage.
Still though, cool stuff.
Thank you, thank you. I chose not to count it since it wasn't a hit from an enemy and Desmond is basically immune to fall-damage in all playable Present Day segments. He does react / flinch upon impact but yeah.
Damn I didn’t know I could use the gun in this mission lol
A lot of people don't ^__^
It's a really cool weapon and can lead to some very flashy moments, though. >:D
Is it me or is Desmond’s torso way longer than his legs?
aw hell please don't make me think about that lol

So you'd have to like, run past people quickly, get back to cover, throw off their aim for your "dodge" to regenerate etc
wait is that the ac odyssey theme in the background
Mhm. To be more exact, it's "Enter the Animus" which is Odyssey's Present Day Theme. I thought its haunting cyberpunk mood would perfectly fit the opening feel of this mission, so I edited it in.

Fall Damage in Present Day isn't reflected in the player's health-level, but if you fall off into like, a "void," so if you fall through an actual death-trigger (like off the side of a building in the Skyscraper level, or down into the ring in Stadium) you'll die.
