@@lemonhead4239 no it's not. The good ones are Riddler, nopuko, this one, Mayan, great noreaster obviously. Thunderhawk at Michigans adventure isn't horrible. Odyssey and kumali are awesome.
Road this tonight for the first time in decade. Still very smooth. I rode it back when it opened for my 13th birthday when it was named Hangman. Rode it 34 times in a row that day 😂
I used to go here with my grandparents when I was a kid!! I loved this ride and all it’s rattles lmao it used to be called the hangman. They also used to have a bangin CCI woodie called the Cheetah and that was the best ride in the park imo
Question. Now, maybe anyone can answer this. On all of the SLCs, right above the actual tracks, are the cross braces. The braces have holes in the square corners. I have seen some SLCs have steel cable threaded through the length of the track on both sides. Any idea?
so was it rough ? i ask since i did mind eraser at six flags america, and to my surprise it wasn't as rough as everyone makes it out to be. the only rough spots were 2 spots towards the end, but everything else was just fine. heck if you want rough go ride wild one and roar. good god my insides got juggled around on those.
It really depends on the individual SLC. Obviously the best ones are the ones that have gotten a reprofiling (Fly the Great Nor'Easter) and vest restraints, but even the old-school ones can range from anywhere between tolerable and hospitalizing.
@@VestedUTuber the worst one in my opinion are mind eraser (all of them) , flight deck, infusion, blue tornado, ednor. The tolerable ones are nopuko, mayan, riddler, etc.
All the hate on slc, the layout doesn't seem bad, and I remember loving the one at geauga lake when it opened, I wonder if it's the age that makes them bad , or that there are better suspended coasters.
i’ve heard the wildwood one is really good because of the whole renovation and many people have said it’s smooth and intense and they do have a good layout
@@coastaku1954 maybe it was from relocation, or even age, idk tho. I used to ride it over n over and it was different from what I see in others with it being mostly over the water, the only part I remember no liking other than the end stop being rough was the part where it went over the building where they sold the pictures, which was around the same time the girl said ouch my head
All of them built in the early 2000s and the 90s are rough and were rough even when they opened. Vekoma at the time just didn't have good manufacturing tolerances and the engineering wasn't great either. Things improved over time though. The last few built aren't quite as rough and Great Nor'Easter's retrack is downright smooth as it was done using the current Vekoma's engineers and manufacturing. It isn't actually a bad layout - just bad engineering and manufacturing.
@Enzo Discovery yeah I know but he reviewed great noreaster. The only major difference is the trains. This coaster is actually pretty smooth compared to the rest
The Vekoma SLC, aka, the (S)urely to (L)eave you with a (C)oncussion coaster. The most painful, boring, and stupidly-cloned coaster type in the world. It is a really good layout. You just have to ride this or any other SLC with the vest restraints. Trust me when you do them, you'll have a higher opinion. I just did Riddler, great noreaster and nopuko air at lost island and enjoyed all of them

And this is one of the better SLCs
I heard that too hahaa
The Great Nor'easter is the best one. New track and no headbanging

Why does the lift hill sound like a tornado siren 😅
Most SLC lifts sound like that
I'll be here tomorrow, hopefully I can check out the recent work walls that have gone up!

Could be a cable for some sort of monitoring system or maybe a block system
The park could make the ride better by retracking the entire thing and give it new trains with vest restraints.
The Vekoma SLC sure does
