I am doing Fmaj7 instead of F, for now, because I can't get the thumb on 6 string and index on first string at same time ....

In the C after the F chord, are you saying hammer on the third string? That is new to me. We didn't have that before. Also, we are not fingering that string (?), so I am confused ...
