As a kidney doctor, all fluids are fluids and count as hydration. You actually get more hydrated with things added to water as it helps your body absorb better. However I wouldn’t recommend adding sugar. But in the overall scheme of things, if this keeps the women hydrated and helps them not binge eat and lose weight, that’s better for their health than avoiding some colored dye. If you have kidney disease make sure to check the phosphorus and potassium levels and speak with your nephrologist ❤
I’m a bariatric surgery patient so not nearly as qualified as you but THIS! My surgeon is going to love me for how much water I’ve been drinking. They’ve always encouraged adding sugar free flavors if it helps us up our fluids. People just love to hate

Yes!!! I was a nutritionist for a long time and I used to say this to my clients! If you gotta add a sugar free packet of a water flavor, idc! As long as you’re drinking your water!

My nephrologist said the same thing, just stick to sugar free packets and syrup, but other than that, he was pretty happy with how much I’ve increased my water intake and how it’s helped, I went from like barely a bottle a day to like 3-5 bottles of water a day lol

But what I really wanted to say was that I loved your response to the question about the toes. My husband actually has 12 fingers (an extra pinky on each hand) and we weren’t sure if our daughter would inherit the same trait. Shane, if you do another book I will definitely get it. Your books helped me for so long even now. Back then I was in a bad place trying to get a good relationship back with my mother. She ended up getting really sick. I was like 16 it was a rough time. I ended up reading your books to her on the days she didn’t feel well. She loved them. It really helped our bond. It’s been two years since she passed. I was 19. She was the only parent I ever knew. It destroyed me. Now I turn to your books. Your books helped me get closer to her then & they still help me feel close to her now. I always read them, even out loud just like I did back then. If you ever do another book ill be excited to read something new to her. But if not I’ll keep reading your others to her.

I was fortunate enough to meet Shane when he did his first book tour in Arizona and I can confirm he gives great hugs and he’s really tall in person. Though it was a really short meeting because there was tons of people but it was really cool meeting him.
This is like the modern updated version of the TRYING WEIRD ____ videos (life hacks, beauty products, pizza flavors, etc…) like it’s in little segments but he’s moving around the house just doing his day and the little segment itself isn’t cut a lot…. I honestly really loved the energy of this it made me SO nostalgic and I think I’m gonna watch it again! ☺️❤️
