Been using USB2 for my mic since I bought the Rodecaster Duo, and no static, so you’re good to go. I capture the PS5 audio via OBS via HDMI with my capture card. Keep it simple, no need for the audio extractor unless you have multiple devices, like you mentioned or going into Windows and clicking listen to this device 😊
I’m using usb2 directly to console ps5/xbox and I don’t get audio static as long as I have audio output to hdmi and set to TV and microphone to rodecaster
