I think the 8x8 sweater book would be great to record family recipes and traditions. Or a book journal, very Jolabokaflod vibe. Reading books and eating chocolate on Christmas eve.
Re-watch here. I'm a very old woman who is brand new to this community. Maybe it's my age, but I love floral designs, and I adore cross stitch. I've never done embroidery work, but when my vision was better, I used to cross-stitch small pieces for relaxation. I viewed the Archer & Olive website during the Black Friday sales. Their products are beautiful, but costly! I watched your presentation on 40 supplies that you personally recommended, and I believe I left a comment telling you how refreshing it was to see a man's POV for journaling items. I doubt that I will ever buy from A & O, but I will continue to enjoy watching videos like this one! :)
I appreciate you checking out the video and for dropping a comment. The cross stitch is such pretty designs. And we can totally appreciate great stationery from afar. I do it all the time too :-)
I sub, this will be my second box & I'm (im) patiently waiting for mine to arrive - I'm in the UK, so it takes a little longer. Shipping costs can be quite high, & that did put me off subscribing, but I watched unboxing videos (Inc yours), got a bad case of FOMO & gave into temptation 😊 Loved my first box but this one is epic! Sorry I missed the live - #rewatchcrew 😅
Thank you for posting these lives to be watched later. I just got my box today! I am going to use the square one for my fibre arts projects journal. I am a weaver, spinner, knitter, crocheter and it fits in ok for that.
The sweater pattern on the 8x8 actually really reminds me of Norwegian sweaters. I have family in Norway and it gives me all the nostalgia of visiting them.
This box has been my absolute favorite box so far. After a few disappointing drops etc. but this box makes up for it. The sweater will be my 2025 reading journal. This is my aesthetic 100 percent. I even have drawings of rabbits with the folk florals inside of it all over.
I'm watching this on replay and this was fun! I really liked the two notebooks and that sweater one I actually really liked alot. It's just very different than I've seen other notebook designs for the holiday/winter season plus I think when florals are not you're thing this seems more neutral. Great review and fun as always to watch
I was on the fence ordering this box because of the 8x8 notebook. I hate saying this but it looks so "anemic" to me. Ooooo, that hurt admitting. The A5 is a gem and practically everything else in the box is fun so I bought it. This is the first time I will be gifting an A&O notebook. I think they could have come up with a slightly more dynamic color story for that notebook. Pity! Great video Mark!
Rewatch. This is my first box. As a card maker have lots of dies and stamps. I took the dark blue washi, laid it down on white paper and used some large number dies to cut out the year.
The corner cutter would also be great for when you're adding other colored pieces of paper to your spread, and you can decorate the corners that way, and have the white show through!
I think that the box was shipped a little on the late side too, but they had the Black Friday Sale, then the quarterly sub box, and then a partial restock of items for Cyber Monday. All in all a pretty busy weekend for the A&O team. And pretty busy for my wallet too.
I was debating whether to get this box, and wound up getting it because it shipped before I decided whether to cancel. Oops. But, I liked it way more than I thought I would. I am also not into florals, but part of my family is from Norway and I enjoy folk style art. The bookmark and the corner punch are misses for me, they will join the box I have of A&O items that I need to rehome when I get a chance.
I wanted this box, but just couldn't justify it. Working on using what I have first. Everything is just so cute though! Especially the corner punch, but a BAT!?!?! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
Great live, Mark. I love this box and really enjoy your honest reactions. The ink pads are awesome. I use them on page edges and they’re a bit pearlescent which adds a nice glow.
Re-watch. Oh man, a bat or raven corner punch would be amazing! They would be nice for spooky season but could be used year round. I love the colored inks. I was just going to buy some colored inks but now I don't have to.
Rewatch from Germany, first I thought ‚oh no florales, better skip this box‘ buuut i couldnt miss out the Chance for a 8x8 because i only started the sub box this Summer. They ship international, its not only the shipping that makes it expensive also its the taxes of customs. For Germany it nearly doubles the Price 😢 but luckily Archer & Olive or the shipping Company does the customs paperwork so less stress for me 😂
I am scandinavian, so maybe I'm just bored with the knitting patterns and homemade embroidery stuff because it's so common here 😂😂 HOWEVER! I am very happy that A&O finally gave me a notebook where I can make my swatches and washi tape collection samples! They've all been too pretty thusfar, but that is what I will use my 8x8 for. :D The rabbit stamp will be great for easter, I love the inkpads and I'm sure I can use the washi for something. Pretty good box! (oh the punch was cool too!)
They did carry a square notebook cover at one point because I bought it, Clear with glitter like the other sizes. I thought I had canceled my sub box after billing but just made it in time to NOT receive this one. The theme was completely not my vibe. I am happy to watch you open your box to quell my fomo. I got supplies from the Black Friday sale that should get me through the year. I would love to see other paper punch designs too. Have a great week!
Oh man, I missed the livestream! I'm still waiting for my box to arrive, but I'm so excited to use the square notebook as my crafting journal for next year! I've been on such a sock knitting kick recently and it looks perfect for logging all of them.
I live in the Netherlands and received the box today. This is the American webshop that ships fast. Normally it takes at least 2-4 weeks when I order something in the USA. Archer and Olive arrives in 7-10 days. Shipping and taxes are about 35 Dollars
This is my 2nd sub box, and I was in the same boat of being weary of what was inside based on the box and theme. I also, went back and watched last year's sub boxes to get a feel for them, and I was only excited for September. I love this box, and I was absolutely surprised by how much I enjoyed it 😊
Mark- love your real reactions to the items. Makes me always watch your videos. Your reaction to the square notebook had me laughing because it was SO genuine- LOL!
I wish there was a way to like buy the set (stamps and block/pad) or just stamps so you dont end up with six blocks and could save a little money possibly
Aww, would love to "meet" Beau. So adorable!!! Ive been using a paint brush in my fountain pen ink to do small bits in my journal. I'm wondering if i can use that ink to stamp as well.... What about using the vegan leather stickers to create a cool paperclip book mark or something. Just use card stock on the back with the paperclip in the middle. Or to seal letters written like a wax seal.
In comparison, that advent box suddenly seems awesome! I am glad I passed this by. Def not my thing but the Sept box was perfect (and halloween). Its hard to surpass those two boxes.
You mentioned lined notebooks from past sub boxes. I have found that the paper on lined notebooks is more fountain pen friendly than the dot grid. I know it should be the same paper but it seems to be different. Can you or anyone else comment whether you’ve found the same thing?
Love your honesty and enthusiasm and my daughter hyper focuses I agree a super power with a big down side at times. I’d like to point you to sketches and scrubs channel she put a video out last night talking about the problems with gifted reviews it’s very thought provoking
I'm not watching live, but what you could do with the whole puncture thing is take all the flowers out of the container.Indector ate your book with the are you spread with the punches itself?Something my foggy stuff would do
Great coverage on the sub box, thank you! The sweater notebook and the ink pad are the only items I like. Too bad the items can’t be sold separately. 😕
So these ink pads from A&O (since the actual A&O video team didnt respond...) I wrecked my 2025 planner using this.... like im used to standard ink pads. Any tips for whatever the heck these are... 😳😳😳
Sorry I mean they are so like juicy/saturated inks, nothing like what I've used before and sloppy on pages. Not sure but it literally got all over; on the cover of my planner, my hands, the stamp box. I'm super experienced with stamps but man that ink 🤦🏼♀️
I looked at ordering but shipping was ridiculous and I’ll not doing them. I’m in Canada. Archer & Olive needs to find a Canadian place that will sell the A&O products
I'll pass on this box. Not really my style but it's good to know I'm not the only one still waiting on packages from Archer And Olive. They're usually quick to ship out.
Re-watch team represent! As a swede, I'm a little bit annoyed about the Danish "Hygge" vibe of the whole box. With that said, I really want that square book as a project planning book for my crocheting, cross stitch and other crwative projects. And the a5 notebook is the coolest one I've ever seen! As for the stamps and stuff, I'm not really sold. That's why I cancelled the subscription. But I want to register again. It's a tough desicion!
#RewatchCrew The paper punch was a neat idea, but I don't want a flower on every corner. Maybe you can find a craft to use all of your extra acrylic blocks. The pleather stickers just aren't practical for me. Also, I'm not into Scandi folk art, but it will be on trend for 2025 and 2026.

As a cross stitcher... it's not your age. It's your natural good taste!
I sub, this will be my second box & I'm (im) patiently waiting for mine to arrive - I'm in the UK, so it takes a little longer. Yes!!!!!! Bat corner punch!!!! Please A and O!!!! Pumpkin too!!!
Thank you for posting these lives to be watched later. I just got my box today! I am going to use the square one for my fibre arts projects journal. I am a weaver, spinner, knitter, crocheter and it fits in ok for that.
Dear @ArcherandOlive , PLEASE do the bat corner punch that Mark talked about. That would be amazing!
The sweater notebook would make a perfect hobby journal for stitching, knitting or a similar cosy craft.
The sweater pattern on the 8x8 actually really reminds me of Norwegian sweaters. I have family in Norway and it gives me all the nostalgia of visiting them.
Great unboxing, Mark! Always appreciate your honest reactions and insights to products, even those from one of my favorite companies!
I love this box! So many good things! Rewatch
I like the square journal, and would definitely agree it looks like cross stitch patterns, or perhaps a Norwegian jumper! ❤
This box has been my absolute favorite box so far.
After a few disappointing drops etc. but this box makes up for it.
The sweater will be my 2025 reading journal. This is my aesthetic 100 percent. I even have drawings of rabbits with the folk florals inside of it all over.
I love how excited you got with the ink pad. Thanks for sharing this. I like the idea of punched page corners.
Got mine and love love love it! It’s my first AO sub box.
Oh my I just saw you octopus in the background. I love octopus. Have at least 1 piece of octopus artwork in each of my rooms in my house.
For those that haven’t tested it yet, the ink pad is metallic 😍
26:52 could be for a reading or gaming journal. Those trees on the cover remind me a bit of pixels.
Minecraft of it all

make the corner punch celestial and I'm sold✨
Rewatch. This is my first box. As a card maker have lots of dies and stamps. I took the dark blue washi, laid it down on white paper and used some large number dies to cut out the year.
Interesting box! It feels very 'hygge'. I love the A5 journal. The punch feels very Dutch with a tulip.
The corner cutter would also be great for when you're adding other colored pieces of paper to your spread, and you can decorate the corners that way, and have the white show through!
I also thought it would be fun to do that and color the flowers in too.
@@CR-pp3yg oh yes, that would be pretty!
Awesome. This box was very cool. I am happy to have a subscription.
Such a great surprise
Love the idea of a bat corner punch for Halloween! 🦇
I have started deconstructing the packaging and using it in my journals…
I think that the box was shipped a little on the late side too, but they had the Black Friday Sale, then the quarterly sub box, and then a partial restock of items for Cyber Monday. All in all a pretty busy weekend for the A&O team. And pretty busy for my wallet too.

I like the sweater journal because I like the all over prints
I wanted this box, but just couldn't justify it. Working on using what I have first. Everything is just so cute though! Especially the corner punch, but a BAT!?!?! THAT WOULD BE AMAZING.
Great live, Mark. I love this box and really enjoy your honest reactions. The ink pads are awesome. I use them on page edges and they’re a bit pearlescent which adds a nice glow.
You could punch the corner of the page when you are done/fill the page
Cool idea
Re-watch. Oh man, a bat or raven corner punch would be amazing! They would be nice for spooky season but could be used year round. I love the colored inks. I was just going to buy some colored inks but now I don't have to.
Hi from London Uk. Great box , thanks for showing us what is inside :).

I am loving the foiled notebooks.. the Halloween and then now THIS 🤯 I need to use my notebooks though its getting kinda crazy out here..
@@wahinepaddler4 we are all here with you. 😆

I love the rabbit stamp. I have 2 bunnies at home 🙂 so whenever I see some bunny stamps, I am excited 😀

Part of the rewatch crew here. Definitely loving that A5 notebook! Great design, and I generally love florals, so that works very well for me
Mine still in transit! 😮💨 i like this quarter's box. But i like them all so...
This is my 2nd sub box, and I was in the same boat of being weary of what was inside based on the box and theme. Brilliant video Mark - the live really suits you and you are so engaging and confident - good job 👍😊
Re-watch here, I just got mine today and the theme really gives me Scandinavian themes over cottage comfort
Perhaps your extra stamp blocks could be an addition to a large wall radial art piece, Mark?
32:48 That's genius! 😄 I have wrapping paper from the Hubman & Chubgirl advent calendar, but I don't know what to wrap with it, lol
Bat corner punch!! Also, let’s meet Beau!
The bat would be the best! Give it to us now. 🦇
@ I would totally punch all my pages with a bat if it didn’t take hours!
I wish there was a way to like buy the set (stamps and block/pad) or just stamps so you dont end up with six blocks and could save a little money possibly

I still haven’t received mine so yes it does seem like it’s taking longer. I am happy about this box for the most part
Thanks for watching! I hope you get yours soon.
Me too… and tracking says it’s still at its starting point and hasn’t been scanned again since Dec 7th…
Rewatch here 👋
I still haven’t received mine! I think some items are really cool but the 8x8 notebook is giving me granny vibes 😂

My box is still not here, and I’m in the same state as you! I’m looking forward to the stamps and stamp pad.
My box is still on the way but is only halfway on across the country from CA to VA. 😬
Hey Mark, is not choppy is shabby chic 😅
I’m watching on the rewatch crew
Yay!
The postage for the subscription boxes isn’t bad and I live in australia
So these ink pads from A&O (since the actual A&O video team didnt respond...) I wrecked my 2025 planner using this.... like im used to standard ink pads. Any tips for whatever the heck these are... 😳😳😳
You can take each off and stamp your clear stamps with them. Or any block stamp

Hello! From Florida! Please do a video on how to clean the stamps!
Baby wipes will work for most inks. If the ink is dye based use baby wipe with little rubbing alcohol.
For my acrylic pens, 2 of them were unusable because the paint just flowed out
SKULLS would be cool
I looked at ordering but shipping was ridiculous and I’ll not doing them. I’m in Canada. Archer & Olive needs to find a Canadian place that will sell the A&O products
Can we meet the puppy, please?
Be warned that that style of ink pad will dry out very quickly. There is not enough sponge to keep the ink usable.
Also the Bookmark is goatse.

I would rather A&O put in another notebook instead of all the wasted expense of the "pretty wrapping".
