THANK YOU!! I'm working on a pirate outfit for Renaissance Fairs and it was missing something. The sash would be perfect. Thank you for sharing

Debate with me shipmate. The sash not should be on the sword side or opposite or doesn't matter?

It doesn't really matter, but it looks better if the sash and bandana tails go to the same side.

The jabot he’s wearing is inaccurate af, since the outfit seems to be from the 18th century, the appropriate thing would be a ruffled shirt with a cravat, or since he’s a pirate, just the shirt, but that wouldn’t make sense because he’s wearing a court waistcoat

Both the Jabot and the Cravat where around in the 18th century. I would like to see documentation that jabot were not worn at all in the 18th century.

The jabot is a Victorian invention, aiming for women’s clothes, it was also in this epoque when the fancy dress balls introduced the jabot as the 18th century-ish neckwear

The “jabots” you may be referring to, can be the 17th century cravats that usually had laced ends, and floated freely down the neck
