@@Frudgey It was originally called rocket boost I believe. The samus smashboards threads deemed it "Goomy Zoomy" when he started rippin' em because no one else could do it.
I don't think I really have anything intelligent to add, but boy did I enjoy watching Goomy use the extender - that thing was nuts! That kind of crazy tech though really adds a lot to Melee. I know you were talking about mix-ups, but as a casual spectator that kind of stuff just blows my mind.

If there are one character who deserves to be Buff that's definitely Samus, she have a lot of tricks but that just ain't enough to compete at the top level.
I believe that - it seems to me that if Samus got a couple of buffs she could absolutely compete at a top level. It's like... she's so close! Thanks for the comment, Darlin! (and for watching, of course!)
I think she can. You just have to be very good at avoiding her flaws. It's similar to puff where her weaknesses are very bad but she has tools that if used right can mitigate her flaws. Samus players just need to play a very new kind of way
