You are the ONLY review that I could find that took the Pro4 on the paved road. Thank you for that! It was exactly the information I was looking for. I love the Pro4 look but will be driving it to work every day so wanted to know how it drives on the road.
No you don’t. I drove the QX80 autograph and it was awful. It is a slug. The tech is nice when it works. Same frame, different front rear facial, and pathfinder parts bin. Take a good look at a new one and at 92g run. I knew paying 56g for my then new armada platinum was a bargain because it is a dinosaur but it has held up far better than my Denali did.
Love your dynamic duo reviews!!!!! Such a fresh take! Love both the cons and pros! And the duality that yall have! Been subscribed for so long and your videos are always fun and informative’ and the exterior b roll shots of the car are the best!!!!
Funny to not see 1 comment complaining about turbo V6 or "bring back the V8". A bit of proof that the trolls are definitely more focused on one of the other larger and more successful Japanese automakers.
V8s in non-commercial vehicles are on the way out, like it or not. The problem I have with twin-turbo V6s is they don't deliver appreciably better fuel economy than naturally aspirated V8s and their long term reliability in heavy hauling and towing scenarios is a question mark. Of course, how many people will use an upmarket 3-row SUV for heavy towing?
Mehh I mean somewhat truth to it but the original comment still holds. But maybe the crowd here is more mature than other channel viewers who act like 12 year olds@@theglowcloud2215
In fairness, Nissan does have the best ace in the hole in terms of V6 engines. It’s probably the most rugged brute with 6 cylinders on the market. Good quality, reliability, performance, etc. But it’s built for stress. It’s made for nearly double the power without a major component upgrade. So if 516 lbs/ft of torque is being put to the test, that’s ok. That’s plenty, but it’s not a lot for this engine build. If a tow is making it work, it won’t work harder than its tune…which is nice power but is a built in governor so to speak. And it won’t tow that often. I really like that 5.6L. But in this case, I feel better about the V6 than any other option on the market. With all due (and deserved) respect to Toyota, they need to reset on engines a little…or tweak what they have. They couldn’t even supply their own engine for the current Supra. Nissan doesn’t win in every way, but the Patrol (Armada) stacks up and the engine is 1st place. The 6.2L GM is a fantastic option as a core engine, but of course that’s a V8 and its auxiliary components aren’t as reliable.
Absolutely beautiful top tier SUV more capable than majority of SUV's out there imo. I wish they adopted the built in air-compressor and off-road kit like they do for the overseas PATROL, other than that this is a huge win for Nissan. Built in JAPAN
Looks like a Titan from the front, has a Pro 4X package available, GTR engine, good styling and interior. I'd buy this over a Tahoe or Suburban any day.
I love Nissans. They’re perfect used cars because they depreciate so much more quickly than the other Japanese brands buts the quality is still great. The Armada will be a great deal in 3 years.
When I drive the Armada I'm never worried about gas. I'm more interested in the comfort and sitting high up and also safety since bigger vehicles are stronger compared to sedans and crossover which is why I'll only drive full size suv.
I understand why people would want to pick the Armada over the QX80. As an owner of two Infiniti cars (M45 sport, Q70) over the years I will say this. Most car companies have a Premium brand, they have it to compete with the luxury segment and it's been like that for years. Yes the Armada is good value for the money compared to the Infiniti but the Infiniti has creature comforts that the Armada doesn't have. If you are not worried about those then choose the Armada but if you are a tech guy like me and love the bells and whistles then choose the QX80, either way you are getting a solid product from Nissan, Just hope the brand can bounce back strong over the next few years.
It really is amazing how far Andrea has come from her first video. She was so shy, reserved and had no real communication skills. Grats to her, now she is much better and she seems much more comfortable.
my family wants this car (without air suspension) - we plan to vinyl wrap the central portion. I'm not sure why they didn't just make the shiny black plastic parts look just like the textured/brushed plastic they use on the door handle surrounds.....weird.
Nice to see Nissan releasing all of these new models! They need to it for their survival, granted this’ll be low volume but anything to help them is needed. New Kicks, Murano and this Armada all are now competitive!
I agree on the shiny black plastic, it reflects light into your eyes and reflects movement which catches your eye and distracts you. It's not only a smudge and dust catcher but it is dangerous. Also, who thinks that it looks good, it just looks cheap like a dead giveaway to cost cutting.
Nissan hit a home-run with this Armada. I take this over the Infiniti QX80 and save $20,000 to $30,000, definitely a way better value...so gorgeous, masculine, upright and drives great!
I didn't see one in Israel 😂! Nice you have them, and You can fill them up for little money! In my country, to fill up an Armada with gas often costs a fortune!!!
That thing is absolutely gorgeous and that engine is goddam seductive. Problem is, Nissan is in serious financial distress, and that's enough to scare me away if I was in the market for something like this. But it sure is beautiful.
@@dcb113 Oh it definitely is a tank too. I went with the Boat theme because of its Naval related name. Either way it’s a huge vehicle that it will never sell in any large volumes to help Nissan get out of its current rut.
Funny how the two crome strips in the grill look like some eighties mistake in that burgundy-like one, but it looks perfect in the blue one you showed. My money would actually be with Nissan group with both reg and lux varients, this generation!
How would you compare the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Hill Country 6.2 V8 that you recently reviewed to the fully loaded 2025 Nissan Armada Platinum Reserve? Ignore Nissan’s current position as a company just for this discussion, if you had to choose between these two vehicles-factoring in driving dynamics, interior quality, finishes, and available technology-which one would you prefer and why?
Nissan Finally bringing out better vehicles, with proper transmissions. Not a huge fan of Turbos as shorten engine life, but I understand why they are using them
@@Dave-hb7lx It's mostly EV stuff which wanna work together and address the growing EV market. We could also get the Altima type R, Ridgeline might get an actual body on frame chasis and hondas might become unreliable but I'm here for it.

The one thing your reviews are missing a bit is addressing the reliability of all the different brands. There seem to be several brands that don’t seem to stack up very well as far as that goes.
@ well Nissan for example used cvt’s and were notorious for problems. Shouldn’t take so long to decide to fix away with something you know has issues. A redesign is one thing but they should get it at least half right to begin with. Nissan is not the only one who who seems to have this problem.
The SV is interesting due to not extreme price. Armada seems to maintain a bit of soft-roadability unlike Tahoe and Expedition with their tremendously low rear control arms. And if not for that or towing, there's no reason to get a full-size SUV, as the mid sizers offer as much cargo and passenger space for many thousands less.
Can anyone explain to me the reason behind car makers price these "full" sized SUV's double the amount of a "mid" size SUV? What is the reason behind? Some of these full size SUV's interior space are not that different, let's say the VW Atlas, arguably one of the most spacious mid sized on the market, yet it you can get a base model for $39K brand new?
Funny how they can have a twin turbo V6 in this but they have to drop the V6 in virtually everything else they make…. And the excuse is emissions…..so this can have emissions but the new Murano has to go 4 cylinder now
Beautiful looking vehicle. Too bad it was converted from a naturally aspirated V-8 to a twin turbo V-6 and too bad its capacity doesn't match the Suburban, Yukon XL or Cadillac Escalade ESV
Great looking vehicle but that price!! All of these frame on body suvs are insanely priced. I would need to remortgage to afford this and that is a shame
Agree with you guys, the shiny plastic fantastic center-pieces have got to go, along with the cockamamie button shifter. And the quilting/pattern does absolutely nothing for the interior--even on the Pro 4X, though "better" as you say...so, still that model FTW. Other than these nits, sseems like a great rig.
Leasing this thing cost 2000 CAD a month for the top trim. This is insane. A BMW x7 cost 50 CAD less. I could never imagine i see a day a Nissan cost like BMW .
More power is on paper only. It’s not faster than the v8; Nor can it tow more. You are basically paying more for the tech, cosmetic/ergonomic changes. In Canada $50k more than V8
With the price creep of 2 and 3 row SUV’s these days I would say that this is almost a bargain in its base model. I would rather have this than a top model Explorer or Traverse.
