I just bought a Super Twin only a few weeks ago. It needed some work, not a lot. It's a beast! The distortion circuit is a waste of time but if you ignore that it's one hell of an amp and boy does it ever get loud!
Once I could have bought one of these for what would have been a good investment if I'd hung on to it. It had the JBL speakers. Anything heavier than that sucker usually has wheels and runs on rails.
I am jealous, big time. How is yours in such mint condition? My 1978 Twin looks good for its age, but no where near what yours is. Great sounding amp your is as well. Don't ever sell it. They just keep going up in price..
I sent mine to Torres Engineer and had them throw the works at it. Much cleaner, and he fixed the distortion, it still isn't class, but it is now usable. Do you still have the square magnet speakers?
I have one of these, and it is quite a BEAST! I wonder if anyone with one has any suggestions on how to properly set up a Noise Suppressor through the amp, and not just straight through the effect pedals. There doesn't seem to be an Amp Send input or Return input on the amp, other than the Reverb Input and Output. I'm hesitant to run the suppressor and my other effect pedals through there. I'm using a Behringer NR300 as a suppressor. I'm stacking a couple different distortion pedals and a compressor, and I do get some feedback issues, which is why I'd really like to be able to use the clean channel and switch to the distortion without dealing with any feedback. Any help would be appreciated.

Have a super twin reverb from 70s. Super loud but i can get great jazz dynamic kinda tone. Great amp. A beast
Had one of this in '77 and would use it with my Fender Rhodes Piano
I had a new Super Twin in '77. Unbelievable tone any volume. Sure was heavy though. I loved that amp. Got lost in a fire... 💔
