My teacher had a friend that helped worked on ninja gaiden z. When the guy went to gamestop and asked about the game, gamestop told them that they dont recommend the game.
I feel like this game is misunderstood and a genuinely fun romp that got shitted on because it wasnt Ninja Gaiden but was instead a spinoff that was a little buggy but still functional and clearly fun. Honestly I wish they would remaster it and maybe continue it as there on spinoff series. Maybe now people would be more open to it.
Alright speaking as a Ninja Gaiden fan: Ninja Gaiden 3 is not good so don't worry about it, but both Yaiba and Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge are solid and worth checking out (Yaiba especially, I still don't understand why that game got as much hate as it did)

gotta say the animations an art direction they took with yaiba makes me a little queezy. I liked the traditional animation and art stylings of NG3 even if the game itself wasn't amazing. I lowkey didn't want NG to look like borderlands

Honestly this game got such bad reviews I bought it out of pure curiosity to how it could top 3 for awfulness and honestly I enjoyed it way more than 3 at least with this it's a spinoff that doesn't take itself seriously and has its moments of humour and fun, it definitely is too short had odd difficulty spikes and combat gets old half way through, but still felt like a 6/10 good bargain bin purchase 3 was more disappointing purely because of expectations, I need to get razors edge though I hear that improved it a bit.
NG3RE is what NG3 should've been in the first place: they fixed, improved, and added lots of stuff, cranked up the difficulty, but the nonsensical crappy story stayed almost untouched (there are few minor scenes overhauled, two side chapters added), and the QTEs are still there (they just removed the button prompts). I recommended this game to my friend, and we both had a blast playing co-op

Yaiba NGZ tries to not take itself seriously, but lacks any substance beneath dirty jokes and yeah, I'd absolutely love to see a comeback of a Dragon Ninja, with better writing. would love to see Ayane and Momiji too, or even better, have them playable

Basically what I am saying is they should have tried making a Ninja Gaiden 3D game, but with this weird and wacky style they have going on here. lordxmugen Zombies were the popular thing at the time. And while a few new zombie stuff like ZombieLand Saga have been popular in recent times, the zombie fad has pretty much run its course for now. Except for ZLS, the Zombie Monster Truck in Monster Jam, & Resident Evil 7 and 2 Remake returning back to horror basics. Now if only Capcom would capitalize on the dinosaur craze that has returned.

Yeah it has really great moments, I would call it a very good game myself, but the final two bosses ruin the experience for me. The Ryu boss fight just uncovers how imprecise and clunky the controls truly, and the final Delgado just drags on and on, I almost rage quit for how long you have to wait for his animations and dialogue to end to continue fighting him. I mean compared to the bosses previous Ninja Gaiden games had, that could be beaten in 2-5 minutes, these 20 min bosses in Yaiba are pointlessly long and not fun. Otherwise it could have been a really cool game, but I just can't make myself replay it because of that... Shame.

Except DmC was actually decent in terms of combat. Sure it was a bit easy but you could do way more in terms of chaining combos with different weapons. Sure it was edgy but this is just leaves a bad taste. Dunno how they got the idea for this shit.

I love this game in a so bad its Good Camp game. Its dumb fun on a tryhard story that goofed. The way I see it Its the Army of Darkness of the Ninja Gaiden Series.
This really deserves a "Wha Happun" because it's so terribly rushed and it was so bad that it's DLC that was with it's Limited Editions was cancelled for Digital releases. And probably killed a great series. Remember : Cell Shaded Zombie games always fail.

It ain't bad, but it can get repetitive also the writing and tone is just the edgiest teenage overdose. And Hayabusa on the files sounds like the biggest dorky nerd ever, he's is super scared of the girls around him in a really stereotyped nerdy way buuut I can see that as Yaiba reading the files and making fun of him.

What i didn't like about the game or more like what killed the game for me where the horrible jerky animations. I could never tell what was an actual enemy attack or what was random flailing. And same goes for the MCs attacks.

I could never tell what was an actual enemy attack or what was random flailing. And same goes for the MCs attacks.

I played this game before I'm kind of sad that I traded in to gamestop cuz I needed the money I wish I would have kept it this game is so much fun now according to what you're saying it shouldn't had a Ninja gaiden tagline on it but other than that this game is super fun
