- INTERVIEW. 1995 or 1996. The humble actor Hugh Laurie interviewed by Sue Lawley on the radio programme Desert Island Discs. Parts of the interview have earlier been uploaded by u2fan15 (thanks u2fan15!). I've cut out all the musical bits, in order to enable you to listen to the full interview and in its original "speaking length". The interview reveals aspects of Laurie and his life that we've never heard before. Candid.
In this part, Laurie talks about (among many other things):
* His worries
* His intense fantasy life
* Jeeves and Wooster and the Americans' reception of the series
Enjoy! I do not own this. - Розваги
"still only 36"...
awwww...
as with so many shows, House jumped the shark after the 3rd season but i can not get enough of Laurie in Jeeves and Wooster....(as an aside, California born and bred, when a youth I read PG Wodehouse, Tolkien, George Eliot, Austen, Dickens, etc...on the beach. I find it ridiculous for Brits to make generalizations about 'Americans' when you can fit more than 40 UKs in our land mass)
I disagree that House ever jumped the shark. It was a great show through all 8 seasons I think.
@johntkucz laurie IS old - and long may he resist the tug towards botox.
Have you seen what happened to Curtis? Just saying.
Oh, and I mean Tony, not Jamie Lee - she's still stunning.
Bit patronising to Americans, Hugh.
glorious, isn't it? ; )
I’m American and the man’s not wrong. But I’m watching Jeeves and Wooster now and am having very little trouble understanding the English.
house is very overrated
so is this comment.
mine, i mean. replying,vten years later : )
We’ll have to agree to disagree on that. I’ve watched a lot of tv shows in my almost 70 years and House is the best so far. The stories, the writing, THE ACTING, everything was fantastic!!
shit... did you have to cut out the songs?
