Yes, she needs to eat well for both the baby and herself, however, don't force her to cram food down her throat. My in laws did that to me when i was 21 and carrying my 1st child. I gained 50 lbs with him.
I was thinking the same thing because pregnant women produce a hormone called hCG… That actually goes into mom’s fat stores and feeds both the mother and the baby. If you eat too much, (especially carbs) this same hormone puts on weight... lots of it!
Geez. What Gina did was truly scary. And I remember in a child & parenting class I took back in high school that during your pregnancy, you will start having a sensitive sense of smell. So glad that exists, because if not, Jenny would’ve eaten that tainted food, and lost her baby. Again, what Gina did was truly scary.
I understand wanting children, but to put pressure on people to get pregnant is totally uncalled for. I wasnt even trying to have children and I had four.😂
Everyone cared more about a fetus than Gina, a living, breathing person. What Gina did was awful and there was no excuse for it, but if Hillary didn't pressure her into having a child, didn't hold money for her daughter's heads, if Luke, Jenny, or Frank noticed Gina's declining mental state, or Gina herself broke from her comfort zone and vented about her situation (which is easier said than done), then none of that would've happened.
The lack of understanding towards someone who has clearly had a mental breakdown is dreadful. Yes, she tried to do a terrible thing but she was so obviously not in her right mind. People who cannot show care towards a broken human being will not be good parents. There should, of course, be punishment but rehabilitation and redemption are also possible.
What Gina did is inexcusable. Let's stop using mental illness as an excuse for a monster THAT TRIED TO CAUSE HER SIL A MISCARRIAGE OR SERIOUS IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO HER REPRODUCTION SYSTEM! This woman does not deserve rehabilitation and redemption when she tried to cause harm to another woman who happened to have the life that SHE wanted. Though, Hillary is to blame for pushing Gina. Did you listen to the parts where this mother was literally bullying and belittling her own daughter?
I'm baffled that mom and Gina are talking about making a baby when there's no mention of SO in Gina's life. Is the guy father material? Can Gina and/or her SO afford to raise a kid? Is Gina and/or the SO mature emough to raise a kid? So many people want a kid as a prop, but parenthood is a commitment.
In between the lines, I think that Gina does have a husband because her mother constantly bullies her and mentions how she's not a good enough wife like the main character is. Given that Gina's mental headspace really started to deteriorate as the story went on, I don't think she would have been fit to be a mother... and her mother was just horrible to her. That would have made things worse. I was hoping that Gina would have run away and put distance between her and her mother. That relationship between mother and daughter was not normal and was toxic. If she got rid of the negativity, the pressure, the toxicity... Gina probably would have had an easier time getting pregnant. However, her attitude at the start just makes me feel like she's unlikable.
@@TiffWaffles I also didn't like how the mother kept dangling money and making having a kid as a competition. Having a baby is a serious commitment and pregnancy can have complications and death. I wish people would love each other instead of tearing each other down.
Having children isn’t stressful? Not having them is even more stressful? In what bizarro world is that? Nothing affects your life more than having a child.
Yeah the idea is they are in the proximity of one another for some, and even moments of self inner monologue. Lastly how exactly would any of us know what there saying without therebbeing a text based format.
Gina did do a crime, but op and ops mil constantly telling Gina to get pregnant was kind off instigation and not to forget her mother holding money, she created so much pressure that anyone can think of self harm or harming others. I m not saying what Gina did was right but they should have reflected on their actions as well. So what of Gina had issues with conceiving or was infertile, is it not her own right and choice 😢.
The part where the landlord was yelling at Gina, I really thought she was going to come back and try to rob her family or kidnap the kid and hold him for ransom or something.
Blows my mind also on how the mother-in-law's think they have control of the daughter-in-laws. Some of it I think is cultural. But some of it is just old way of thinking. Because it was that way 30 years ago when I got married. Tell my mother-in-law figured that she was the boss and that I had sold my soul to her when I married her useless son thank goodness now my ex 33:35
Although Gina shouldn't have tried to poison Jenny, the mother is also to blame for pressuring and bullying Gina. I'm disappointed that the mother didn't receive her karma.
Why hasn't anyone ever mentioned that mama has been nagging daily for Jenny to get pregnant and perpetual comparison to pregnant sister-in-law. Yes, she crossed all lines and committed an inexcusable act. She did deserve jail time. However, mama should also take responsibility for her part in the emotional and psychological abuse that screwed Jenny's thinking in the first place. Both mama and Jenny NEED counseling until Jenny can get herself together and rebuild her life.
That mother might have been nice to her DIL but she was a bully to her own daughter. Mother’s constant demand for Gina to have a baby drove her to do what she did. I feel sorry for her.
Why are they talking about making baby's like that. It seems intrusive on there sex life. Its like the MIL is telling them to go have sex which is none of her business 😐.
OP needs to stay away from Hillary ( the cause of all the issues because of the thought how she would treat her grandchildren and Gina ( Needs years of therapy ) , OP's husband needs to go low or no contact with his mom
This is a good example of how people with money abuse power. The Mom flings abuse with no regrets, and she takes no responsibility for the fallout. If you accept money, you accept future torture. “I gave you that money, so you will do …. because I say so.”
It’s messed up how they call Gina so evil, but completely overlook the verbal abuse from the mother. She was going insane, but they all acted like it was out of the blue.
....i... actually feel bad fir the crazy woman.... that mother in law is awful. She did this, she threatened the crazy one and threw her away so easily.... and they didn't even question what was wrong. They need to get her some mental health help.... this isn't a matter of evil it's a mental health issue.... and the adding in of "devil" talk? I hope she finds a better life and some mental help to make her better
I'm sorry, I feel for Gina. She was browbeaten and shamed constantly by Hillary. And her husband did nothing to stop her. She was backed into a corner and was desperate. What she did was wrong, but her family was super crappy. I'm not happy for the supposed good people in this story. Might be the first time I despise how one of these ended.
You really sure you want to cook for her? Best suggestion for wife’s first meal when she’s carrying a baby? You need to start out fresh making some dill pickles. The more dill the better. Next need to make fresh vanilla ice cream. Two small sides, first making double chocolate fudge ice cream, then one of strawberry, extra straw. Then serve a small plate of vanilla and dill. As she enjoys it, start thinking about how to make some dill I-Scream with extra strong vinegar. For her second dish, mix 3oz vinegar, one pint of dill pickles, one pint of V-icecream, pulverize all together in a blender, even though it says serve at 350 degrees, it’s best served cold, freezing cold. But it’s ok to serve the the straw buries at 350 degrees and the double chocolate served fresh out of the oven garnished with bananas, fresh lemons, and tiny tomatoes. After this, that baby will make her crave some really strange food. Beware.
While I agree that the sil should be arrested, charged, convicted and imprisoned for her heinous criminal act but the mil should acknowledge that her actions and behaviors exacerbated the feelings of anger and jealousy that the sil had already towards her dil. As well as not noticing the extreme pressure and stress that the mother was putting on her daughter. It's not an excuse but an explanation of how the situation went from zero to sixty in no time. In life every action has an equal proportional reaction in normal circumstances but when you are dealing with someone who has either diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health problems or issues there might not be a proportional response to a normal action.
This is the type of shit that happens when you cultivate a competitive spirt around shit that isn't a competition. Mom made her daughter believe there was some consequence to not having the first baby. No, drugging someone isn't an appropriate response regardless, but mom bears some responsibility for it as well. She should've established a fund for each her kids first children, not just one, so they had their own goal, not. Not pitted them against each other over something that's not entirely within their control, and completely dependant on circumstance. Creating resentment where there should be joy.
Hmm....I'm petty enough to NOT tell anyone and hold it over Gina's head, the anxiety of knowing I know her secret and could tell anyone at any time would be punishment enough.
With this many characters all talking within the same conversation it would help to maybe have names with the little pictures so we know who’s talking. I couldn’t keep separate the MIL and her daughter very well in the 1st section and tenses kept changing as well as who was being spoken to and responding.
Holy mackerel!!! A nice mother-in-law? A mother-in-law that actually likes her daughter-in-law? A mother-in-law that gives money to her daughter-in-law? Wait! ....is there a glitch in the matrix or some thing?
I’m kind of on the fence about this. Yes she was a great MIL to OP, but she came off as a total bitch to Gina, and I think this in addition to her fertility issues led her to having a psychotic breakdown.
Good story. A little different from the usual fare. I really liked Hillary's character. My Mother-in-law was a great lady and it bothers me that the mother-in-law is the villain in so many of these stories.
Good plot, but: 1 stretched from half an hour to a full hour 2 Cast of characters not clearly presented, with protagonist (on right) switched from time to time with no identification Disliking.
Taking the money doesn’t mean you need to spend it right now. You can earn interest on it and spend it when it’s needed. Your son may need it for later for education or for the MIL if she has medical needs as she gets older. You’ve decided to not use it up for silly stuff. Wise choice.
I definitely would've preferred it if the mother-in-law would also have gotten some repercussions here, too. Instead she acted all self-righteous as if she didn't had anything to do with this. Despite the fact that her pressure, borderlining on blackmail, basically forced Gina into a state of desperation. I definitely would've preferred it, if the money part wouldn't have been an aspect of this. It would have been nicer to have a story addressing the MIL constant harassment of her own daughter which led her to a breaking point and Gina actually getting the help she needs in the end. Instead, the MIL gets what she wants and everyone celebrates her, while Gina is completely broken and nobody gives a damn about her... even almost acting gleeful about her pain...
So gina only wanted a baby to get money?. I honestly have never heard such ridiculous nonsense..why is it a competition on who have a child first? Who thinks like this?. Having a child isn't some stupid game. mom need to take some responsibility for this.. if she hadn't put a price on a baby, her daughter wouldn't of been so unhinged. She had to know she would be creating resentment between Gina and SIL. I felt a little bad for Gina. Her mom constant berating of having a child drove her completely insane. Gina should've moved out with her husband.. stress is a major factor when trying to conceive. Having someone constantly on your back telling you to "get it down" would be stressful and drive anyone insane. She should've been mad at her mom instead of SIL. I think it's wrong MIL turned her back on her daughter, she created that monster..
On one hand I feel sad for Gina because she has an abuser for a mother that bullied and belittled her for not having a child. On the other hand, I am appalled by her behaviour and actions. While, I do believe that mental health possibly had a role to play in her actions given her history, it's an explanation and not an excuse. She should have moved out of her mother's house with her husband and lived the best life she could. I bet that all of her fertility struggles would have gone away had she moved away from her abuser. Instead she did the worst thing possible. She did meticulous research into the drugs that would harm both pregnant women and their unborn child... and possibly even cause irreparable damage to her reproduction system so she couldn't get pregnant again if she survived being drugged. There should be consequences for Hillary. Just because she wasn't her DIL's monster doesn't mean she wasn't a monster to somebody else, and she happened to be her own daughter's monster. Also, there should have been money setup for both her children, regardless of which one got pregnant first... and if Gina struggled so much with having a child, why not give that money for her fertility treatment? Angry that Hillary didn't suffer through the consequences for the role she played here. You can only push somebody so much before they snap, but Gina also could make her own decisions.
Gina messed up for sure and did something wrong... but i really can't stand the mil because she's the one who fucked up Gina with her actions and the pressure she put on her. I'm actually pretty pissed that the mil doesn't face any comeuppance.
They kept saying the first one to have a child was going to get a lot of money and the whole story I was wondering how much they considered a lot of money and never did find out how much it was.
Here in the U.S. you get more then one year in prison for what she tried to do to your unborn child. I guess that is what happens when you live in other countries but not here in the U.S. you get 5 to 10 years in prison for the shit she pulled.
Are we are we really not going to talk bout the root problem of all this? Hillary is the problem! Granted what gina did to her was nuts but she shouldn't have been driven to do this because of her own mother being just as pushy!
I gather Luke and Jenny are a couple who have theur own olace. Why would they be required to do ANY, let alone ALL the housework at Hillary's (?mother/?motherinlaw) place.
I wonder if Gina would have done what she did is the MIL was nicer. As much as Gina wanted a kid, the pressure she was under could have pushed her over the edge. Not that it makes her innocent.
Why do these people always make child birth a competition and make people do something they're not ready for?! Kids cost money, need attention and theyre not toys you can just put on a shelf when you get tired of them. Ive seen some grandparents BEG for grandkids but when the parents need help, it turned into "those are your kids... I had mine already!!!!" But YOU wanted THEM remember?????!!!!!! As the oldest.. i wanted to be the first to give my parents a grandchild, but i was too focused on work and getting my career where i wanted it to be so i could be comfortable when i had them. I was actually more HAPPY when my sisters had theirs because I was and still am happier being auntie who can give them back then mom and dad who cant. Not that anything is wrong with it because you actually get some great perks being a parent. I just realized it wasnt for me and thats ok. I wouldn't trade my nieces and nephews for ANYTHING IN THE WORLD and i get to spoil them to DEATH!!!!!! And another thing...... How do these people in these stories LITERALLY get away with ATTEMPTED MURDER????!!!!! Have you ever seen ANYONE in ANY of these stories ACTUALLY go to jail and NOT pass go????!!!!! LoL
So whoever have a baby first gets the money wow she could have done it where when they get pregnant for the first time they get half the money . That way they both would get money
Man, imagine this was back when Thaldomide first came out? I know the feeling of wanting a baby but not being able to convince. However, nothing justifies what Gina did. Also She did it for the money as well.
MIL is not a bad person, but she created a very wrong competition in the family, still it is not an excuse to poison and kill a child in the womb. Also, MIL being upfront to her daughter's bad behavior is very rare, and encouraging her son helping his wife in doing chores is a great attitude. MIL is not an Evil person in this story, she was expecting grandchildren, there is nothing wrong with that, but her approach was wrong.
I understand what the sister/SIL did was extremely wrong jail wrong but the mother/MIL is just as wrong. I hope Gina finds so peace in her life finds some therapy and moves on finds a good man and gets pregnant kinda mixed on this one JS
I guess there is no word of FORGIVENESS in the most of the stories that are written…this sister in law needs compassion for what she did. Most of the stories written are so full of revenge and forgiveness ! The writers must be very un happy about their lives!
I did not like this one. I did not like the fact that MIL was not confronted for her actions for driving her daughter into insanity. I did not like the fact that the daughter was bullied and what not into pregnancy and madness. I did not like the fact that OP noticed something was strange but brushed it off until the food incident. In all honesty she could’ve saved her SIL if she was able to get her to her senses knowing her SIL needed mental help. I did not like anything in this story. All the characters made me upset.
While I agree with the mil about her views about letting her son and dil live the own lives and marriage despite her own daughter's negative and archaic mindset. However the mil's attitude and ideas on how to encourage her daughter and dil to get pregnant is problematic and is creating a negative effect on the relationships between the sils and between herself and her daughter which can have bad consequences for everyone involved maybe to the point of no return. Competition isn't necessarily a bad thing but when either taken to the extreme or in between people whose regular relationship is already problematic it could be devastating for all involved.
Can you smell painkillers in food now??? I haven't tried putting pain killers into food, but I don't think you can taste or smell them, can you? Especially in food? I mean, it's great that the main character was observant and saw something suspicious, but I think this channel is sending wrong information by saying you can smell painkillers in food. Gina was acting suspiciously though. That would have been enough for me not to want to eat anything she gave me, especially if she went into the kitchen by herself to warm something up for me to eat. Also, I take it that the food that was made by her MIL was meant to be eaten over a long period of time. If it was in freezer containers, just pop them in the freezer. That's what my friend did when her Italian grandmother and her French-Italian MIL made her containers of food. She popped them in the freezer and would either warm them up in the oven since they were premade meals or she'd dump the lot of it into a frying pan or a pot to heat up or even cook if they just did some food prep and stored it into containers for her. My friend didn't even have to throw anything away. And after she came home from delivering her child, she came back to a full fridge and freezer filled with meals since her grandmother, mother, and MIL made meals. Frozen containers of lasagna can go a long way for an exhausted new mum and her equally exhausted husband.
@@KCohere33 Yeah, but even super heightened pregnant women noses can't sniff out painkillers in food... right? Maybe she was put off by the smell of some other ingredient? Happy Sunday! I think the shrimp festival was this weekend, but I live in my own little world and don’t get out much. Hope all is well with you. 🏝🦎🪿🐇🦐
I feel the mother shouldn't dangled money over the daughter or the daughter in law because that's wat bringing confusion between the two.
So her husband is staying at his MIL’s house while his wife is getting thrown out? WTH?
Everyone cared more about a fetus than Gina, a living, breathing person. What Gina did was awful and there was no excuse for it, but if Hillary didn't pressure her into having a child, didn't hold money for her daughter's heads, if Luke, Jenny, or Frank noticed Gina's declining mental state, or Gina herself broke from her comfort zone and vented about her situation (which is easier said than done), then none of that would've happened.
The unborn are people too. And one was nearly murdered because someone had an inferiority complex.
Agreed. I still feel bad for Gina although she did an awful thing.
I thought Frank was Gina’s husband…
@@the-nina-beans88he is. Thats why he said he was checked out and has no problems with getting Gina pregnant
Yeah Frank said he got tested and there was nothing wrong with him
I’m glad the spouses are starting to take the sides of the protagonists
Having children isn’t stressful? Not having them is even more stressful? In what bizarro world is that? Nothing affects your life more than having a child.
It depends on the environment you're in and who you surround yourself with
Another story where they are right next to each other but still texting. I picture them not talking just texting silently.
I just go off the assumption of, if their in the same room they're talking, otherwise it's texting or a call
If they’re in the same room too, you can assume they’re not texting. Their actions are just being described in text form.
@@KCohere33 Probably
Yeah the idea is they are in the proximity of one another for some, and even moments of self inner monologue. Lastly how exactly would any of us know what there saying without therebbeing a text based format.
What a horrible mother! She’s putting all the pressure on her daughter, and they wonder why she became this way! So very sad.
I thought she was going to come back and ask for money
It’s strange how the MIL always thinks they are the boss of the DIL and the DIL can’t stand up for themselves. lol 😂
I wouldn't mind the longer videos if they weren't 70% waffle- a lot of it can be shortened or cut out
Why hasn't anyone ever mentioned that mama has been nagging daily for Jenny to get pregnant and perpetual comparison to pregnant sister-in-law.
Wow, Mum was a piece of work and gets no karma? Frustrating
Take a shot everytime MIL brings up grandchildren
Then I have to see it twice or more to get drunk :D
Good morning, everyone from Alabama.
Good Morning from Washington St.
It's disgusting what some people will do for money, so sad 😢
That mother might have been nice to her DIL but she was a bully to her own daughter. Mother’s constant demand for Gina to have a baby drove her to do what she did. I feel sorry for her.
Same, it can be heartbreaking when a parent hurts their own child and sometimes even compare them to other children.😢
Why are they talking about making baby's like that. It seems intrusive on there sex life. Its like the MIL is telling them to go have sex which is none of her business 😐.
Its not like stress affects health and pregnancy. Chill Hillary and Gina.
She should be charged 🤬
Ditto. I was happy for Jenny and Luke, but I hated how Gina was treated
How long did that pregnancy take? A year?!
And Gina should have gotten psychological care, far away from that mother
mil was the real monster in the story
Beware.
Of ciurse the MIL accepts no responsibility in turning her daughter into a monster.
The mom was the real villan
Gina might've had PCOS, dude!
With this many characters all talking within the same conversation it would help to maybe have names with the little pictures so we know who’s talking. I couldn’t keep separate the MIL and her daughter very well in the 1st section and tenses kept changing as well as who was being spoken to and responding.
This was a good story a lot different than most others keep it up .
Very confusing the way the conversations jump from different people being involved in different places at varied times but they all blend together.
The backdrop of a bored woman flicking the TV remote matches the scene perfectly. This is such a stupid plotline.
Holy mackerel!!! A nice mother-in-law? A mother-in-law that actually likes her daughter-in-law? A mother-in-law that gives money to her daughter-in-law? Wait! ....is there a glitch in the matrix or some thing?
Oh I forgot to add MIL doesn’t mind her precious son helping with housework??? Nooooo wayyyyy!?!?!
BTW..... loved this story!!
I’m kind of on the fence about this. Yes she was a great MIL to OP, but she came off as a total bitch to Gina, and I think this in addition to her fertility issues led her to having a psychotic breakdown.
Loved this story! A little departure from the “norm”
Good story. A little different from the usual fare. I really liked Hillary's character. My Mother-in-law was a great lady and it bothers me that the mother-in-law is the villain in so many of these stories.
But this MIL bullied and belittled her own daughter. Yet you like Hillary's character when she was a monster to somebody else?
She was still the villain in this story just not in the traditional way
To anyone confused about Gina having a kid she was Married TO Frank hes not the MOMS husband....
Good plot, but:
1 stretched from half an hour to a full hour
2 Cast of characters not clearly presented, with protagonist (on right) switched from time to time with no identification
Disliking.
Number 2 can be resolved by not watching it on mute.
I thought for sure MIL put her daughter up to putting that medicine in her DIL'S food. It's great reading about a MIL with common decency!😊
But that same MIL is an absolute bully to her daughter?
Actually she is a full on psycho 🫣🫣👋🇨🇦
Not really because she put pressure on her daughter
Possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of narcotics, attempted murder., Thats thirty years. Minimum.
MIL is a horrible person. She abused Gina and acts like that baby is hers. Gina is horrible too but they both should have been punished.
Why does op have moments where she's clearly thinking but texting
That’s just the narrative. You’re supposed to assume they’re not texting at that point
I thought Gina was the daughter, but when she divorced her husband stayed in the. Family? Wierd
Dear Editor: I, me are different. The use is really quite easy.
Where is Frank in all of this drama, Gina is getting pushed but he is rare in the convi.
Stray jacket anyone??, how is Gina still free??
Strait
I gather Luke and Jenny are a couple who have theur own olace. Why would they be required to do ANY, let alone ALL the housework at Hillary's (?mother/?motherinlaw) place.
Some compassion after one year would do good also for Hillary.
LoL
Was this written by AI because people do not talk like this!
🤣
Why are some people having BABY RABIES and get SO OBSESSED WITH family MEMBERS needing to have CHILDREN
Compassion yes. Forgiveness no.
I don't really like the inner monologues, but the story was a good one
While I agree with the mil about her views about letting her son and dil live the own lives and marriage despite her own daughter's negative and archaic mindset. However the mil's attitude and ideas on how to encourage her daughter and dil to get pregnant is problematic and is creating a negative effect on the relationships between the sils and between herself and her daughter which can have bad consequences for everyone involved maybe to the point of no return. Competition isn't necessarily a bad thing but when either taken to the extreme or in between people whose regular relationship is already problematic it could be devastating for all involved.
I love how evwryone eventually becomes shallow and gets money lol
I thought the idea was that her nose was super sensitive because of her pregnancy
@@KCohere33 Yeah, but even super heightened pregnant women noses can't sniff out painkillers in food... right? Maybe she was put off by the smell of some other ingredient? For example, if this was a pasta dish and it had alfredo sauce that has a strong cheesy odour to it and she wasn't smelling the pills in the food?
What music is used here?
Man well its easy to see why Gina acts like a total B all the timenjust listen to her mom, only part i agree with MIL is where she tells Gina to mind her own damn business, but also its not COOL at all to be forcing her to have a baby just to get money and then Gina being fricken greedy only wanting a baby so she can get said money its a very perplexing scenario..
