I don't feel like I won this exchange.

Yes, the present is likely the peak for various chronic conditions, from diabetes to cancer etc. But the cretins never think further as to 'why' this is the case. Chronic disease is a problem in the modern age because we have the best medicine yet seen in history. Acute disease is so much less of an issue than it was even 100 years ago, it gives us the time to develop the chronic stuff. So yeah, there are absolutely more 'sick' people today than there were in previous generations, but that's because those people are sick, not dead.

lol I’m so glad he said that about the “chemtrails”. I was a ground agent for multiple years and multiple airlines. FAA tracks 45k flights per day with thousands of mechanics working on said aircraft daily. Even if you could manipulate the ground agents and pilots into believing nothing is going on, you’re not gonna fool those mechanics, many of which are contractors that don’t even work directly for the airlines they service. The chemtrail conspiracy is so ridiculous it’s one of the things that turned me off conspiracies almost completely

I mean, she's not completely wrong about school systems being designed to pump out workers. Yes, we want to create lifelong learners, but we also need cashiers and custodians and caretakers. We need people in trade school like plumbers and carpenters. We also need people with at least a bachelor's degree like engineers, teachers, nurses, and yes trained artists too. Then we need people with graduate and post-graduate degrees like aerospace engineers, economists, historians, physicians, etc. School should absolutely prepare your for the world, and preparing your for the job market is a big part of that

One girl had trouble with her scholarship because even though she was an amazing musician, she had never been taught to appreciate jazz. Her family looked down on it and since she was quite sheltered, she didn't really know what it was. The school had a great music program, but jazz was a section she had horrible trouble with because of this. My cousin was home schooled and now she's a SAHM who occasionally works at Starbucks.

Some of these are crossing the line from quirky conspiracy theory all the way to persecutory delusions. If someone sounds like this then from my personal experience that usually means they are in psychosis. With the strangeness of some of the delusions they sound more like a schizophrenia induced delusion and not just, for lack of a better phrasing, less extreme pychosis that leads to more "normal" delusions. Non schizophrenic delusions are like "My friend secretly hates me and wants to hurt me", but a schizophrenic delusion is something like "My friend doesn't really exist and is a holographic projection sent by aliens to steal my thoughts." (At least thats how my psychiatrist described the spectrum of delusional thinking).

I was only in a coma for 3 days, but I almost died, almost needed a transplant, and it took me a about a year to relearn how to go from being 100% bedridden to being able to walk again. This reminds me of when I worked at tsa and how people believe they were being targeted and not randomly picked for stuff. They tested a new method for random screening. They used a computer to pick. The computer doesn't know who anyone is. You click a mouse, and it does its thing. So many people thought it was recording fingerprints it was hilarious. It's a computer mouse. But if it was taking fingerprints, what would be the point it couldn't identify anyone.

I mean, she's not completely wrong about school systems being designed to pump out workers. Yes, we want to create lifelong learners, but we also need cashiers and custodians and caretakers. We need people in trade school like plumbers and carpenters. We also need people with at least a bachelor's degree like engineers, teachers, nurses, and yes trained artists too. Then we need people with graduate and post-graduate degrees like aerospace engineers, economists, historians, physicians, etc. School should absolutely prepare your for the world, and preparing your for the job market is a big part of that

@@zuzukris4952 I know a few people who homeschooled and it definitely didn't help with school. They had trouble learning subjects they had no interest in. One girl had trouble with her scholarship because even though she was an amazing musician, she had never been taught to appreciate jazz. Her family looked down on it and since she was quite sheltered, she didn't really know what it was. The school had a great music program, but jazz was a section she had horrible trouble with because of this. My cousin was home schooled and now she's a SAHM who occasionally works at Starbucks.

Some of these are crossing the line from quirky conspiracy theory all the way to persecutory delusions. If someone sounds like this then from my personal experience that usually means they are in psychosis. With the strangeness of some of the delusions they sound more like a schizophrenia induced delusion and not just, for lack of a better phrasing, less extreme pychosis that leads to more "normal" delusions. Non schizophrenic delusions are like "My friend secretly hates me and wants to hurt me", but a schizophrenic delusion is something like "My friend doesn't really exist and is a holographic projection sent by aliens to steal my thoughts." (At least thats how my psychiatrist described the spectrum of delusional thinking).

for the school system ones, i paid for homeschooling myself in middle school and still went to public school cuz my parents werent home and i was to young to be left at home. i honestly would have failed public school because the teacher's talk at you and shame you and wont actually help you understand but the home schooling site i paid for actually was more able to help me understand what was going on. and i could ask a person hay what is this and they would help. im honestly suprised there arent more dumbasses do to the public school system and problems at home.

I was only in a coma for 3 days, but I almost died, almost needed a transplant, and it took me a about a year to relearn how to go from being 100% bedridden to being able to walk again. All things considered, I'm actually very lucky to be alive and (mostly) healthy again
