1:08 1. Less is more. If you add too much detail in a drawing, it will have a hard texture, as if you were touching metal. A tip is to have blur effects to soften the image. 4:44 2. You don't have to draw things accurately and tediously. Saitou-sensei used a building as example. He only drew the silhouette and the windows but it already looked like a well-drawn building. 8:15 3. Divide the background into three parts: Foreground (in front of the character), midground (next to the character), background (far away and behind the character). Make sure the different parts overlap to express 3 dimensionality. 11:43 4. Add brightness when you draw a dark and heavy illustration. It's hard to see the focal point of the image if it is dark. 14:47 5. It's better to draw the background because it tells the story of your illustration much better. Without a background, the image could become uninteresting. Thank you!
Ohoo we have a quick summary! But I think you forget to add the last at 15:00 (it's better to draw the background). Anyway thank you so much for this! :D
wow it's so great.. In result, after watching this video, i realize that i have to jump over the perspective tool someday. now i'll try to draw the backgrounds for what i want to express. i'm always rooting for u sensei!!😊😊😊
3:29 (regarding the translation) around this area I feel that it would make more sense to interpret the advice as, become aware of areas that do not require adding extra detail and deliberately pick where you’re putting down the detail
The buildings thing reminds me of something someone once told me: | It's not about "drawing the detail" but about drawing "the effect of detail" | It took me a while to understand it, but the part of the buildings in the dystopian future in this video explain that idea quite simply. Applying this idea is a completely different story tho XD
i want you to show us, how do you correct picture. like what step you go by when doing it. i want to do it with my old art. but i cant understand how to go about it.

@@mocchillaohh I totally forgot 😂 sorry. Thanks for reminding me

You're probably talking about Stephen travers
Here you are! I've been looking for you!
Random question but has Naoki Sensei reuploaded his old videos or is he gonna do it bit by bit?
Does someone know If he made a video talking about how to improve drawing expressions?
