This is WAY better than the normal shapening.
This kind of effect knows where to sharpen and where not to.
Impressive! That effect could save a lot of otherwise unusable footage. Thank you Jay!
Very nice effect! Oh man i have been binge watching all these Hitfilm Pro tutorials and it seems so awesome piece of software! Gonna buy it next month when i get overtime pay from work and can't wait!
Hi Jay - Thanks for the tutorials. Do you do much in the way of colour correction/grading? Most seem geared towards adobe and some on Hitfilm are far too complicated for some of us beginners.
I've used this a few times:

Might be interesting to compare it to the new effect. Would certainly be easier if it turned out to be comparable. I'm a bit busy to do it right now. Maybe someone can try it and report back.
The vehicle that is jumped and wrecked in this video is not a Dodge Charger. It was a junkyard Crown Victoria that had no valuable parts that was simply dressed up to look like a Charger. The purpose of the vehicle was to jump and wreck it, so don't get too upset that a super nice car was destroyed. :)
Film Sensei Oooooooo!
@SFF Author B.L. Alley Actually, I don't know. The vehicle was prepared by the Northeast Ohio Dukes club.
@SFF Author B.L. Alley Sweet!
You saved me much tears and therapy about the Charger!! Thanks for this helpful vid.. I just encountered this effect in HF 15 a few days ago and didn't use it because I felt I needed more info.. This hit the spot!!
