Brings back the memories... This aircraft was so complex for its size. If you can fly the Brasilia, you can fly anything.
I flew E120 and it's interesting because we were saying the same thing here (Brazil), you really can fly anything...
Very similar to the SAAB340 systems etc. with the exception of the APU. I never understood why we didn't have an APU in an aircraft like that.
this machine is gorgeous!
Hi Alamo, it definitely is a good looking machine.
Absolutely awesome video. I’m studying for my EMB-120 type rating and this video is very useful! Thanks so much for posting.
Great to hear and thank you. Check out some of the other E120 videos and Contract Pilot Life playlist if you are interested. Study well.
@@GrantBurton you can record aural warning callout of embraer 120
and aural unit ok callout in high quality?
Brings back memories!
How long ago and where did you fly the 120?
@@GrantBurton Ahaha only about a year ago, but it was such a fun job. I'm an airline guy now and I maintain I'll never have as much fun as I did with the EMB 120
@@noonedude101 Flying around the Islands is especially fun... In and out of short strips, island hopping.
Incredible video
Thank you.
Hi Sir. Congratulations for you video. I flew EMB120 several years ago and now I'm going back to fly it. I can see you performed full SOP I used in the past. Thank you!
Why are you returning to fly the 120? What where you flying before? Also, where did you fly the 120 in the past?
Grant Burton I flew EMB120 in Brazil, in an Airline called SETE LINHAS AEREAS. Now I received an invite to fly in Africa. (Email me to joylton@hotmail.com if you have any news).
Magnificent plane made in Brazil has proven quality, I see many of them still flying on the west coast of the USA and bordering Mexico on flight trackers like Flight Radar
Yeah... still quite a few of them flying around... was a nice plane to fly.
Parabéns 👏 pelo vídeo 🇧🇷
holly crap,no wonder we don't have a full model emb-120 for flight sims
Haha... It's actually pretty fun flying the real flight sim at Flight Safety in Paris.
@@GrantBurton is the Sim in Paris still operating? I’ve been told that the flight safety sim in Atlanta is the only currently operating one. - 120 Capt based in the U.S.
@@GrantBurton how to fly the 1.5 nm downwind leg? is there a reference point on the window? It's hard to see the wingtip?
@@Davi3038849844 Hi, it's really easy to see the wingtip... check out this video around 1 minute 20 seconds ua-cam.com/video/FK37FdCSsBo/v-deo.html
Excelente!!! Thanks!!!
I hope you found the video useful
@@GrantBurton Yes. I'm braziliam, working with helicopters AS 350 and AS 355 Twin Star , and airplanes embraer are my favorites . EMB 120 is amazing airplane, i flied this in Braziliam Air Force.
Good to hear... feel free to share the video with anybody who may find it useful. I'm thinking of doing a series of videos about the E120, comprising questions and answers about the various systems and parts of the aircraft... I'm just still trying to figure out how to present it on a question and answer type of video while still making the video entertaining.
Helicopters are awesome, although i don't know much about the different helicopter models. I started my heli training about 2 years ago... I only did a few hours though. I bet it was awesome flying the 120 for the military? Did you also fly helicopters for the Military?
Great video series, very useful, Would you mind to share your equipment specs?, like the camera and sound.
Thanks very much. I wasn’t using anything special... just a GoPro hero 5 with Rode Video Micro mounted to the top of the GoPro and stitched together using iMovie.
Great videos, congratulations!
Brasilia
Hope all that is done before the passengers get on board. Otherwise it be quicker just to walk.
Haha, yeah… definitely done before pax are called for. Systems checks, pre-flight inspections and most briefings are completed before pax are onboard. It would be quite a big inconvenience to have pax sitting onboard while doing systems checks just to find something wrong and everybody has to disembark and change over to another aircraft. Also doesn’t instil confidence in the pax getting onto an aircraft just to be asked to get off again because of problems 😬😎
how is your aircraft powered for this entire video? Is the APU on? Or are you using External Power?
We are using the APU for power... between 1:30 and 2:15 we started the APU, brought the APU gen. online and left it running and powering they system for the entire video.
Do you have a Cockpit Poster like picture of this aircraft?
I think I might have floating around somewhere... I'll have a look
Thank you i´ll really appreciate it
Get the captain a drink please
I like aeroplanes
Too many things to remember. Insanity.
Hi Eddie, it's really not too bad to remember after training and enough practice.
First you do a flow, then a checklist.
