I personally know a spiritualist community in Florida, Cassadaga. I personally attended their church for a few months. One of the members goes north to Maine every summer where she also has a spiritualist church. It's still around. Not all members of the Florida community are 'good'. What's interesting is that there are vortexes of energy in and around the grounds of Cassadaga; and there are ley lines in the area. I have an orb story from when I scattered my mother's ashes on Mt. Rainier. I photographed a valley on my way to scatter her ashes and the photo shows the orb moving into the photo from left to right, it almost appeared to have a face. I interpreted as my mother attending her own scattering of ashes. The reason I did that was because I got the message to do it soon after her death. Her ashes were supposed to be in a niche next to my father, but I clearly got the message to scatter her ashes where she had a spiritual experience as a teenager.
@@ke6445 I lived 45 minutes away for 15 years, visited a lot, and knew several mediums. Long in the past, the Spiritualist community sold off the hotel to pay debts. The hotel has belonged to various owners since. Everything BUT the hotel on that side of the road belongs to the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. The psychics/mediums/shopkeepers in the hotel and across the road from the hotel are NOT a part of the Cassadaga community. This is NOT to say they are good or bad, just that they don't necessarily share the beliefs of the Spiritualists. On the first Friday night of every month, an experienced medium does short public readings for every person in the sanctuary at Colby Temple. They call it a message service (Come Feel the Spirit). The goal is to share proof of the continuity of life beyond death. I never experienced anything negative or scary. On the contrary, I found it validating and loving.
Once I videoed a friend playing with my dog, on my phone. The lighting wasn't good. When we played it back, there was an orb darting around the room, every which way, around them while they played. We played that video back dozens of times, trying to figure out what possible explanation it could have been, none of which added up. I showed the video to several people who could not explain it. I came to the conclusion that it was my dog who had passed moths before. He was playing with them! So cool. Yes. I believe. There is so much more! Thanks for this interview. There were many things presented here that I was unaware of!
Super inspiring discussion! I've never caught any thing that seemed to be paranormal in my photography, but now I feel inspired to think more seriously about intending to connect with the spirits. Wish me luck!

I didn't believe in orbs until I saw one go past my face in a dark room. Months later, I was taking pictures of the rooms in my house for my realtor and the family room was full of orbs. I couldn't see them while I was taking the photoes, and I tried taking pix with different cameras, under different light conditions, times of day, from different angles, several times over the course of 2 weeks. But one area of the room kept showing a dozen or more orbs. Orbs also showed in other pix, but just 2 or 3. We had a lot of paranormal activity in the house, including multiple visits from my daughter's unborn twin, lost at 9 weeks' gestation, who always appeared the same age as my daughter. And she wasn't the only spirit that visited. Also had angel lights in my house a few times.
I appreciate the depth, history and honesty of the conversation. Having just saw the original Ghost Busters over the weekend I had to smile about the ectoplasm discussion. After all Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray were capturing and storing ectoplasm creatures backi in 984. Perhaps many of us first experience with this esoteric substance. So yes spiritualism has taken form in our culture in many different ways through the years including of course in movies. Who are you going to call?
10 years ago, I was at my sister's house in her upstairs bathroom. My niece & I were in there goofing off by taking silly pics & had snapped about 20 of them. My niece ended up leaving the room but I stayed and continued taking pics, as I had just gotten a new tattoo on my finger & wanted to take a few pics of it. Afterwards, I was going through the pics to delete the ones that were blurry or not great shots & scrolled past one that made my heart drop. I went back to the photo & could not believe what I saw. I was the only person in this pic, holding up my finger to showcase my new tat, but there were a pair of eyes over my eyes. This was NOT camera glitch because the set of eyes were above my eyes & not even looking in the same direction that I was. You can even see what appears to be a reflection of the light in the room in the pupils but you can't see it in my eyes. I was looking straight forward at my phone but the other set of eyes were looking upward. Years later, I showed the pic to a psychic & she said that she wasn't sure what it was but that whatever it was wasn't from the light. The craziest part is that 2 of my nieces used to be terrified of that bathroom because they said they used to hear a woman screaming in there at night. I still have no answers as to what happened in that pic but it still freaks me out til this day.
Wonderful discussion and topic here. I am from Anderson, IN; which is around 10 minutes from Chesterfield, which hails a spiritualist community. I've been there once and absolutely loved it, although there was some controversy surrounding a fraudulent medium that lived there some years ago. Now I have a personal interest in ITC and spirit images. I've been a practitioner of various techniques for 12 yrs, and have captured some amazing and bizarre images via video feedback loop and water scrying. I have captured images of "orbs", but I'm very skeptical. Now, I did take a photo inside a crypt where there was no light, no flash being used, and of the several shots, there was an amazing orb appearing to producing it's own light.
