From a fan who went to see the movie with my 13-year-old son: this was an excellent film from the very beginning to the very end! I am so glad I went to see it with my son and highly recommend that EVERYONE GO SEE IT (no matter what race)!!!
I did prepare my 11 and 13 year old in advance to watch Mamie and Emmett’s story - and we all still shed continuous tears of sorrow, confusion, anger, love and of hope throughout. Beautiful and inspirational film of strength and resolute resolve. I, my children and anyone who watches are now better for it. Thank you, Whoopi.

Whoopi is the reason I got my 1st set of locs in the 70s. She was the only person I had seen who had hair like mine. I saw her in the bathtub of milk by Annie Liebovitz and it was on!

Till is such a good film. Great acting, great writing, great directing. It took me by surprise how emotional I got. Glad they focused on the mother. I think everyone should see it. I really like how she came to Mississippi and she went to the house where he was kidnapped from. The conflict, guilt and shame between her and the relatives was gripping. And then the reconciliation between her and her relatives was moving. Beautiful film.

Awww, that´s so great. I watched it with my grandpa, he had so much fun, clapped his hands and shared some tears. He was a german WW2 survivor. He passed away many years ago, but is always with me when I watch Sister Act. I love how this beautiful movie creates precious memories like this.

I was so starstruck, I could barely speak, but managed to say that I hoped that if I had your kind of talent, that I hoped I would do what you were doing with it. You said something like that we could trade places! And then I blushed and giggled, and you walked away. And what I SHOULD have said was "I think people might notice", which I thought of later.

Till is a beautiful film and is worth seeing. There's a scene about Emmett's murder but violence isn't shown, so Whoopi is right.

And the oppression, terrorization, and 2nd class citizenship of Blacks (and other POC) continued after the end of slavery. Which was followed by Jim Crow, 100 years of lynching, and the fight for human/civil rights against legal discrimination in employment, housing, healthcare and justice. My original point is that MARTIN LUTHER KING WAS BORN AFTER SLAVERY.

I'm aware that (proportionally) Indigenous Americans are most likely to be brutalized by law enforcement, & are treated unfaithful by the government.
