Month of Dec here that's why I have my birthstone turquoise in my gold ring ever since in my younger years, the first one was stolen so I buy another one & always wear everytime I go out.

March has two birthstones ... Aquamarine and bloodstone
Aquamarine represent the yin (some sources say represent pisces half )
Bloodstone represent the yang (some sources say represent aries half )
I keep a pair of both stones , as someone born in March . They are my good luck charms
never seen a list of multiple colors per month. Cool! Never liked Topaz so Ill have the citrine

Though I don't completely believe in birthstones, I think most rubies, diamonds, citrines, aquamarines, peridots, emeralds, sapphires, pearls, opals, quartz, tourmalines, garnets, remind me of all regardless of which month they're born.
Yet saying that, I do associate images of a single cut jewel/gemstone of a garnet, citrine, opal, emerald, diamond, ruby etc depending on which month someone was born in e.g. someone born in March, some single cut Aquamarine jewels would remind me of them and others born in that month, while all those born in May would remind me of some single cut emeralds, you get the idea.
However, some images of a single garnet, amethyst, aquamarine, diamond/white or clear topaz/crystal, emerald/green onyx, voilet/light amethyst/moonstone/pearl/alexandrite, ruby, peridot, sapphire, opal/pink or rose tourmaline, citrine/yellow topaz and tanzanite/blue zircon/blue topaz do remind me of those regarding thier birthmonths. But just those select few images of single cut aforementioned gemstones.
However anyone with a jewel themed name such as..... Ruby or Rubin remind me of all types of rubies whether they're real, fake, birthstone ones of ones used for miscellaneous uses i.e. on Valentine's Day cards and merchandise & Ruby Anniversary themed things.
Sapphire, all types of sapphires regardless whether they're authentic, manufactured or for any use etc.
Emerald or Esmeralda, all types of emeralds regardless of production, usage etc.
Amber, all types of amber including the Nokia amber 7370 [swivel], 7380 [lipstick] and 7360 phones [candy bar shaped camera phone]. However, regarding amber warning lights seen on traffic lights, level crossings {especially in the UK and Ireland} and many warning lights termed as amber, not all of them remind me of everyone called Amber. It varies.
Topaz, all types of topazes. Regardless whether they're authentic, manufactured and so forth.
While names such as Julia, Jewel, Crystal, Gemma, Jemma, Julie, Julian, Juliette, Jewel, remind me of all gemstone since they're all jewel themed names {Including all spellings of aforementioned names}, they remind me of all jewels/gemstones. But likewise to amber warning lights, it varies.
Technically, though here's the birthstones for my family, my friends, my fiancé and me:
My one is either a Pearl, Lilac Alexandrite or Quartz (June)
My sister has Sapphire* (September), though ironically one of her other names is Ruby.
*Though Sapphire was one of her almost names since my folks and the midwife & nurses knew that September was the month she was due, thus Sapphire being an almost name choice.
My older brother has Blue Topaz, Tanzinite or Blue Zircon (December)
My younger brother has Pink Tourmaline or Opal (October)
My mother has Emerald (May)
My step father has Amethyst (February)
My fiancé has Peridot (August)
My fiancé 's older brother also has a Peridot (August, but born 5 years earlier)
My friends Julie, Kerry & Karoline all have Diamond (all born in April)
My friend Jo has Aquamarine (March)
My friend Leo has Garnet (January)
My friends Hayley P aka Hay-Hay, Lily and Callum W all have Amethyst (all born in February)
My friend Maria has a Citrine or Yellow Topaz (November)
My friends Sarah and Zoe are both Ruby (both born in July)
My friend John is either Pearl, Lilac Alexandrite or Quartz (June)

I recall in a magazine (either Reveal, Now, Glamour, Pick Me Up, Hello, Heat or Take A Break) in 2008 *to be precise!* an article on jewel coloured dresses themed around ruby, emerald, sapphire and amethyst. It showed two celebrities wearing dresses in each aforementioned jewel colours. It went as follows........
Ruby: Tess Daly & Eva Longoria in ruby red dresses
Sapphire: Liv Tyler & I think Claudia Winkleman in sapphire blue dresses
Emerald: Eva Herzigova & and *oh no can't remember who the other celebrity was!* in emerald green dresses
Amethyst: Leona Lewis *and oh shoot! Forgotten who the other celebrity was* in amethyst purple dresses.
Finally to round this off, the Luminizer Volume Million Lashes mascaras & Super Liner eyeliners from L'Oréal which came out in 2011 that were specifically made for certain eye colours:
Emerald-->green eyes
Sapphire-->blue eyes
Amethyst-->hazel eyes
Black Diamond or Brown Quartz-->brown eyes

Jasmine was born in either October or November (so either Pink Tourmaline/Opal or Citrine/Yellow Topaz respectively).
