I discovered when I put the sc in the first stitch the row after the star stitch row that I always have 1 stitch too many so I just started to go in to the eye of the star stitch for that row

can someone tell my why my rows are curving inwards? they started when I did the sc in the eyes then spiral like a snake when I did the next row of stars,
