I'm surprised alot people are backing up the vocalist. Hes amazing but we need to remind some clueless idiots how hard it is to do what hes doing every single night.
you gotta remember hes psychically exhausted its hard to breathe properly then you also have to remember this is going straight through the camera the quality isnt that good because the camera(no offense) i was there and they sound really good live in my opinion
Hey sounded better than the record during the UK tour, take into account they have been touring non stop for months. The voice gets fatigued easily, especially if you sing and scream
I honestly don't hear anything wrong most of his cleans. Yes, there are parts that are alittle pitch stressed and flat but c'mon the dude is extremely out of breath. The beginning was just fine. He will get better as he plays live more often, obviously.
Sometimes it's differences in venue and sound that affect the way vocals sound, too. I've seen bands sound awful in one place and spot on at another. Both his vocal styles sound pretty good to me for it being a live show.
Seen them on the european tour with PWD and HSB and Marcus's performance was awesome..all the notes were spot on! Even when he singed the end of Quantum Flux an octave higher than adrian did on the record it was still in the pitch! His screams were awesome too I just miss the low asskicking growls that Adrian had.. Overall Marcus killed it that night, but I must admit that in this vid he sounds pretty horrible..
Give him time. I don't know how much experience he's had in a live setting. It's something you certainly have to get used to either way. Right now his cleans suffer cause it's very difficult to keep a frontman persona while maintaining that perfect vocal range. You can tell he has the range, he just needs the time to perfect it in a live situation. Hate to break it to anyone but Adrian was the exact same way. Unless he had a ton of experience before, you couldn't expect perfection right out of the gate.
GOOD LORD IT’S BEEN 7 YEARS?!? I’m so happy for Marcus and this band hahaha
best audio of vocals at a gig ive heard in ages
He's doing so good for someone with no experience with performing up until a few months ago.
He's played live in bands before Northlane
I don't know the names of all bands but he was in a band called Sound Of Seasons
love the little dance at 1:19
People think that doing both clean and unclean vocals is easy? Try doing that every night and then tell Marcus that he's a bad vocalist.
Ian Smith thats with touring for years. marcus is new to playing big venues and this frequently
I think Marcus is better live than Adrian is/was. I'm not saying that Adrian sucks by any means, because he doesn't, but it's just my opinion.
Concept Photo I was just about to say the same thing. In a couple months he'll get used to touring and have endurance.
had so much fun at the show
you were there? ._.
Wow, amazing!

he has amazingly clear screams and tbh his cleans sounded good live tons of things come into play when you listen to a video on youtube
Killed it.
1:18 Some sick moves
He seems to be having issues hearing himself as well. Check out his other live video. It is amazing.
im loving the mullet
Thats all the video I shot. Here's the pics: fromthepit.com.au/northlane-bald-faced-stag-8-1-14/

Anymore from this show?
The vocalist is fucking good.

This was over 2 years ago guys.. He is wayyyy better now.
This aged like fine wine.
Live At The Roundhouse is beyond legendary
Nice video! nice hd and quality :)
Which camera did you use to record?
Alan Alexis thanks mate. It was shot with a Canon 6D. Standing on a garbage bin:)

i wonder what's Adrian doing after left Northlane
Saw him at the Woolies checkout a few weeks back 👍
Curtis Shaw so sick haha
his vocals may seem weak in this vid, but in others he does just fine. Just having a rough day
Man this song makes him fuckin exhausted. I feel bad for the poor guy.
3.35 miss ahah
Obvious a voice crack at 3:05 but hey, it happens everyone.
miss adrian..
adrian had more swag
***** well said
killerhippo10 Gotta remember He needs to adapt to being in a popular band.
dat hair doe..

Ха ха, ну круто, очень клева! )
do you guys have ears ? he isnt perfect but hes better than 90% of vox in this genre out today.
Sorry, but Marcus' performance is quite poor.
Those cleans are totally out of tune
I feel you, his vocals aren't to great without all the editing.
Get your ears checked, m8
Wish they had went with Aeden. Their set last night wasn't very good IMO. Erra, Miss May I, Fit For A King, and ABR killed it though.

You're trippin. He's way more in tune than Adrian ever was.
Awful vocals. About a pitch or two lower than the recording. Just shows what a studio can do.
Lame...
