Great to see the Busa getting some air time 🤙 It would've been interesting to see how much deposits you had on the filter if you washed it after using the compressed air. Great video and keep the INBOX empty 😂🤣
That's not a bad idea. Going to do the plugs next while it's apart so I have time to wash it...hmmm. My junk mail filter is strong....inbox is always empty. LOL
I'm glad you made this, it reminded me to buy a K&N oiler cleaner kit thingy. I need it for Toaster's car, the Vstrom and the Z900RS now :D Degradation is the word, english is hard for me too. I do like the idea of just having to blow it out and get on with your life, I like you am dubious tho :D Exactly, you can visually see the dirt captured......where did it go in this case? Confusion!! Time will tell, seems the ram air channels are good at stopped water and such all on their own eh.
Yeah! "Where did the dirt go???" LOL, after editing I did some blow out in the video from the air compressor but still....it leaves me with the uneasy feeling. Yeah, the RAM air channels do seem to catch a decent amount but not the easiest to clean out.
@@MonkeyButtRides that'd be my only pondering. Has the engine eating it, any small bit of dirt as you know acts like mega sandpaper when exploded.....that said, sprint seem to have a good reputation so maybe the dirt when blown out just looks like a lot less than it does in water! The mystery continues 😁
I have a Gen 3 and have been researching different exhaust systems to see which might be best. Curious how you currently like your M4 system and if you would recommend it? I was considering that as well as the Brock's Pentacarbon; any feedback around this would be greatly appreciated. Also, did you have your ECU flashed? If so, by which company? Thank you, appreciate your videos 😎
I'm still very happy with my M4. I think I mentioned this in the video but at the time, Brock's didn't have a real Gen3 exhaust and what they did sell as significantly more cost. That said, today they may have a real made for Gen3 exhaust and they seem to make good products. I got my ECU flashed by Moore Mafia. For the Gen3 don't expect a life altering experience from the reflash which tells me Suzuki didn't have it limited to much. The flash will help more if you are roll or drag racing. it will extend the RPM limit and if you pair it with cams/velocity stacks and will help make big gains on the top end.
@@MonkeyButtRidesappreciate the info as I decide which direction to go in. If it’s true that the flash doesn’t make amazing changes, I have to assume that going with the BT Moto flash, which is a lot $900 or so, might not be worth the investment? I heard some say that the Moore flash “woke” the bike up….would you agree with that? My riding is more casual….i do not bother with the track at all. TY
$900 for a mail in flash or an actual dyno tune? If it's for just a flash, $900 is a lot. I think "woke" the bike up is maybe a bit extreme to me. I will say the Moore Mafia flash made the throttle response more snappy and immediate. I've heard some folks say it's to snappy and jerky. Maybe that is where some folks are coming from when they say "it woke the bike up". The bike is so damn fast stock I would be surprised if you notice a big difference. My 2 cents.
Bought one of these around xmas, yet to install it. I had the same misgivings as you, but I’m down to try her out. Plus, who doesn’t like less maintenance?
All the dust I saw on the clean side of the air box turned me off. I also was shocked that they don't recommend washing or oiling their filter I get how convenient it is to not have to wait for the filter to dry and then oil it but man the oil is a big part of how that fine dust get's trapped. Anyway, I will do a comparison between my ZX10 (running a KN) and the busa this fall when I service the air filters again. For me, right now, the sprint is a good race filter but I have my doubts in regards a real street bike.
Love the channel and the Busa. Will be my next bike. Wanted to bring your attention re aftermarket filters. It may not be worth the 1 hp in exchange for potential engine damage. I believe foam MWR is much much better to block particles. Bro that filter was clean!!! Bike is looking good brother. I like the white. Keep it up bud. Another great video as always.
Appreciate it!!
Such a beast of a bike.
It really is, got a big road trip coming up, I'm so excited!!!
