I want to see what's left of the transmission/clutch!🤯
Same here
Probably not much
well somehow reverse
Bro congrats on buying a new trans
I'd bet he has a new 2-piece input shaft
Take the ranger on a jump like you did with the raptor truck. Just do it!
A Nike sticker on the door and let's go.
Great idea
Now we're thinking
i love this idea lol
Great idea lol😎
bro is the manual murderer, the clutch killer, the awd assassin, the differential defiler, the gearbox genocider
Dat you Tony Hinchcliffe? 😂
The rwd renegade and the fwd fearmonger
The transmission terrorist
bro gave a whole new meaning to engine braking
reverse engine braking
I love when hes surprised when something goes wrong
yeah I mean if your putting it in reverse while moving forwards at highway speed I would expect bad things to happen due to it being the wrong way to drive plain and simple
i don't think he's surprised it went wrong more just surprised about how it goes wrong
Keep up the good danger ranger content brother. I'm living vicariously through you. These are all experiments I've wanted to try but never had a disposable vehicle to try them with.
Start gambling you can afford to do it
Danger ranger like it’s some quick and badass vehicle 🤣🤣🤣 I fkn can’t with some of yall. Trucks ain’t all that. But yall think of them like peaches and rainbows like your boyfriends.
the facial expressions alone and zoom in on the nervous throat reaction made this video 😂😂😂
Mike: Don't try this stuff at home
Neutral Drop: we do this all day every day!
No mercy reversees for the win! WHATS IT GOT, STUNTMAAAAAAAN!
Insurance company: How did you brake the transmission Mike?
Mike: I was going 45 mph in 4L, and my knee just accidentaly bumped into the gearstick... 😇
Why would his insurance company care how his transmission broke?
@@willroeder6462 You didn't take that comment seriously, did you...?
@ not at all. But I still fail to see the connection between a broken down vehicle and an insurance company.
@@willroeder6462 Ok
Insurance isn't a warranty company. I've never understood why people think an insurance company would fix this.
I can see the for sale sign now, adult driven, well cared for..... $4,500 OBO. 😂
I know what I got don't try to lowball me lol
Slightly worn transmission.
"Did you break down?"
Autovlog: 😬😬😬
I’d love to see what the inside of that transmission looks like after these torture tests!
7:59 Transmission: Screw you. I'm done.
You should continue these crazy experiments & make a whole playlist out of them 👀
oh no did you break down?🤣🤣🤣
Fix it and let the fun continue!!
8:07 oh man that snap xD
as a veteran mechanic, i can tell you this is a lot more dangerous than you probably even realize. if the transfer case grenades it could literally take your legs off. if you really are curious, look at transmission tunnel damage from some of the past cases. not so much from the transfer case itself, but from the fact you lose the front driveshaft as it beats under the car.
i love ur vibe in the vlogs ur really nice to watch man
Rolling burnout at 50mph, that thing is a BEAST! :D
I daily drive a manual and this hearing those gears screaming oh my God it hurts me so much but it's still a great video
I did that once for a FRACTION of a second on my car and I heard metal grinding and rocks under the shifter, thank goodness I caught it in time. I change the fluid meticulously, so it's running strong at almost 200k.
As a fellow Ranger owner, I know for a fact that these little trucks are tough as $h!t.
Imagine driving behind someone and seeing thare reverse lights come on
Lol, this was amazing! The Uber driver seemed nice at least!😹
Absolute legend, I’ve always wondered this… subbed!!
I bet it broke the input shaft on the trans.
Exactly!
Did this with a 20.00 67 galaxie 500 wagon with a 390. Couldnt break it. Did crazy reverse burnouts
8:07 That sound was the clutch connection blow up so you basically busted the clutch and it may take a bit to repair but nice thing. You should try "what happens if you put your car in forward while going in reverse when moving"
Nice video
Do you always pretend to know what you're talking about?
"The clutch connection blowup" yes that's exactly what happened, very technical.
I really enjoy these 'stress test' videos seeing what machines can REALLY take if you abuse them lol
This channel is hitting Rock bottom!!!!!
"Transmission is angry"
I WONDER WHY
After all these years still enjoying your videos Mike you’re one crazy MoFo! Thanks for always entertaining us with your wild ideas.
I've been wondering this situation for yrs and finally it is being done.
Sometimes with the old trucks u have to go in the opposite direction to put 4wd in gear
Your not supposed to be driving when you put it in 4wd
Is 4wd meant for being stopped 😂
My first car was a 1993 Acura integra and that trans was bulletproof.. full speed in reverse, rev limiter in neutral, throw in drive. Like 100 times.. driving 100 mph+ every day
I totally tip my hat off to ya for trying these things that nobody else never thinks of or don't have the gute to try. Love the videos
If I had the money to replace stuff and have a bunch of buddies at a garage I would buy junkers and do the same thing !
Those transmission gears have to be bald as you by now, lol
The front wheels wouldn’t really spin just the back wheels because all the weight is in the front.
and there was the video on how much it cost to fix it last time...
real test is... can you still haul a big boat down/ up a boat ramp after flicking the transmission?
Man this channel has jumped the shark.
Impressive, but can you change gears without stepping on the clutch?
No longer the Danger Ranger...now simply the Park Ranger.
Note** although 4wd light was on and the hubs were locked, it's still not gonna be in 4wd until you come to a stop because you engaged 4wd while cruising. You have to come to a stop or start from a stop, and then it will actually be in 4wd.
Awesome video bud, I know you said you're getting a few things sorted but would love to see some sort of supercar on the channel again, much respect from South Africa.
Yeah I broke down lol. You killed it, purposely “broke down”. Love it.
If that lasts until Sydney learns to drive I’ll be really impressed! She’s probably going to hate you for teaching her how to drive a stick shift in that, if it lasts that long, lol!
FUNNY, HE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A TEEN-AGED BOY.
"That's a weird ticking sound" 😂
I shouldn't laugh but 8:07 reaction has me howling
You should really try this in your F150.
I bet nothing will happen... There would be a lot of fail safes to prevent such a thing from happening in modern trucks
This broke my heart- that poor little Ranger
This cruddy content is why he only has 15K views after 1 day.
@@Christoph-sd3zi agreed.
That poor truck has had to put up with so much. They really were built like tanks.
Keep crying lol
Love to see how shocked he seems whenever he does stuff he knows are going to be shocking.
I think I could guarantee that my 2021 Ford Ranger is not that tough.
Technology wouldn’t allow you to do that.
well reverse at 40+mph isnt possible in a ranger. try it again in 4 low only going 5-10mph. think about it. reverse at 40mph in 4 low would be like 15k engine rpm, thats why the clutch or trans blew up. try it again at 5-10mph and get it in reverse then rev it up and dump the clutch. idk how strong that clutch is but you just might do a 4wd burnout for like 2 seconds
8:00 Spent a lot of time in clapped out Jeeps in college... we once lost brakes on a gravel road and threw the AT into Park in attempt to avoid hitting a barn. The transmission made that exact ticking sound... it didn't slow us down at all but thankfully we scrubbed off enough speed in a ditch to hit the barn slow enough where the lumber stopped us without breaking through!
Haha, I'm glad you said "Don't try this nonsense _on your own"_ instead of "at home," because had you said "at home," I would've been like, "What: you thought I would've been able to do it in my driveway or my back yard?"
Same thing if you’re at a drag strip and put it into reverse at start line lol
Just discovered your channel, please don’t die doing what you love… 😂 anyways love the content mate
Ahw, that's massive transmission/clutch torture..
I was here yesterday hoping and wondering why you hadn't uploaded in over 2weeks... Good to see you Mike...
As an Uber driver, I've picked up several stranded motorists. That's why she said "Oh no." She had no idea you did it on purpose
Nice observation Sherlock 😂
Next video of the Danger Ranger should be: What happens if you drive without Brake Fluid!!
I've done this so many times as a teen driver. Even going 70 plus, absolutely destroying tires and transmitions 😂
I like your Uber driver at the end "HI, did you break down?" "Ohhh no" must be a mother 🤣😁
You should have tried slamming the clutch and then put it in gear. Maybe it just needed a good push to get it to work. Or maybe it just needs to cool down.
Shifting into reverse at any high speed 2 wheel or 4 wheel isn't good
Imagine explaining what your doing to the cops when you get caught😂
I did this back in the 80s with a Mazda 929 at 50mph, it required the passenger to have both feet on the dash to put it in reverse.
We couldn't wreck that car, it did the biggest burnout I've ever done, in reverse.
I floored it to max rpm and dumped the clutch.
We couldn't destroy that car, it did the biggest burnout I've ever done, in reverse.
That was when Japanese cars were quality cars. 😁
That clutch, well and trans must hate you 😆
I did it in a 86 dodge ram 50 aka mitsubishi and mine just went click click fast as hell. And was completely fine. That was a ugly ass truck but tough as nails and the valves seals leaked like crazy so never had bug problems. Thing was awesome.
"Yaeah, I broke down.... Hey, is this electric? Cool! Can you please put it in reverse!"
3:55 He drinks some water before his mission 😂
Transmission gone .. I remember when I had my hj61 land cruiser, you had stand still to put it in 4WD .. but I don’t know if it’s the same with ranger ?
I'm not sure about Rangers with a manually-activated transfer case, but the ones with electronically-activated transfer cases can be shifted into 4WD High while you are driving. However, to shift into 4WD Low, you have to be stopped and be in neutral for it to engage. All three of the Rangers I've owned (1994, 2003, and my current 2009) were like this.
As far as the damage caused, I believe the only thing that happened was he fried the clutch.
I just found this channel this morning and these vids been making me laugh my ass off all morning ! Haha subscribed!
Honestly sad he's beating on it like that because those little trucks in good condition are harder and harder to find since they can't be made anymore due to emissions and safety.
It's the Danger Ranger, wow that thing still runs? Been fallowing you since the first AMG was hydrolocked.
Sounds epic accelerating in 4 low, like how a kid would do an impression of a car
AutoVlog Great Video I think it's awesome that you tested what would happened if you put the Danger Ranger in reverse while in 4wd while driving and I'm sorry to hear that you broke something and I hope it's nothing major
7:40 Honda Civics in the suburbs at 3am
Making all that noise up shifting and all and still going 45 😂
That laugh when he said it still works
Albeit he’s had work done to it that just goes to show you how tough fords can be if you go back and look at all the videos he used the ranger in
He is absolutely destroying that truck😂😂😂😂
I bet the transfer case got put in Neutral, try putting the transfer case in 2WD, and try to moved the truck.
You put it in 1st at 65 mph and it didn’t grenade the motor 😳 I can’t believe the valves didn’t smack the pistons in this video 😂
Did that once with an M998 HMWV. Accidentally. Thought I would be cool by shifting into neutral while coasting to an exit in the interstate. Gotta press the button to get out of drive and miscounted notches. Oops. Didn’t seem like it did any damage.
😂😂😂😂 this guy is insane!! 😂👌🏼 he does what all of us wanna do or have thought about doing or at least wonder what would happen “what would happen if” but we don’t have the guts to do it! 😂😂😂😂 great videos…
So glad I found your video’s again. I just got myself a hoodie can’t wait til it shows up. Be careful we love watching this crazy shit. My buddy’s danger ranger melted to the road after it burst into flames as we were going down the road. My friend got it stoped an we jumped out. He forgot his cigarettes an went back In the flame ranger to get his butts. One of the funniest shit I’ve seen. All to get some weed when we were 18.
Thanks for scientific experiments so we don’t have to do that 😅👌
Fascinating video. I had a feeling things woukd not go well.
Lets see what happened next.
Gee I always put it N gear an crank starter with foot off brake once going shift gears by synchronizing accelerator PEDEL with RPM of transmission 👍
Ive seen a 90 toyota tacoma and nissan truck from the early 90s both survive this.
Try this in a full size truck
First dmg are on piston ring second maybe electrical problem coz rpm goes way so high when u put reverse at 50mph
You could have shut it off and put it in gear and later drive off and rev match some gears to take it to the shop
Or whatever
Here we go with the good old classic videos. 🤣
You can't switch into 4WD while driving, you have to stop the car then switch into 4WD
Only for 4lo does the vehicle have to be stopped and in Netural. 4Hi you can switch on the fly
Can you make a playlist with all of your “what happens if…” videos together?
All right, I got one, what happens if you put it into four-wheel-drive while you’re doing a burnout
What happens when you Use diesel as engine oil .
I feel that I have to correct you on something you said. Your words were I broke down. I’m sorry to say you didn’t break down.
You broke IT down 😂
