I’m 41 years old from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Still have the OST CD of this masterpiece by Paul Oakenfold. One of the earliest influencer in Electronic music during my time growing up along with Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, Sasha, Seb Fontaine etc.

The only one i know from the ones you mentioned is Armin Van Buren.. Don't know the other 5.. Got any song recommendations from them?

I have the movie on VHS and DVD. I have soundtrack on CD. Everyone thought I was weird. This is my top favorite movie and soundtrack of all time. People who don't get it, I'm sorry, but this is amazing. Hands down.

Unfortunately nothing starring John Travolta could be one of my favorite movies but the movie definitely worth a watch for the brilliant Don Cheadle, the amazing Halle Berry (never more stunning) and Hugh Jackman playing golf in a towel. Also great soundtrack.

It's the Greatest Trance, Real Trance album in the world, before listening to Oakenfold for the first time back to 2000 I couldn't listen to any music, it was so trashy, without soul, but this, this is THE MASTER, etherial atmosphere, hypnotic - trance, this is what nowadays people forget, that trance is NOT TRANCE LEAD, it's UNREAL ATMOSPHERE that is not limited by trance lead first in thinking of making it! Sad that he doesn't have as much fan base as Armin van Buuren, but after hearing his music, feels like I've heard everything that I needed and not scared to die if I had to!
This album, along with Vegas (Crystal Method) were my childhood. So glad I got into electronic music at a young age. Unafraid, Lapdance, New Born, and Get Out Of My Life Now are my favorites.

This remains to be one of my top 10 favorite film soundtracks. Paul Oakenfold is brilliant! I remember buying the movie on DVD and a CD copy of the soundtrack. I still have both. Thanks for posting the whole album on one link I was able to share. It still sounds great all these years later! Time flies.

@@Red87star popular as in it made it into mainstream music alongside pop, R&B, hip hop, etc... nowadays it's recognized as a big subgenre of EDM but how many people actually tell you in public they listen to a trance artist? I've yet to meet more than 2 people in real life who said they know/listen to Armin van Buuren (and he's been broadening his horizons... no longer fully trance-focused).

Many people disliked the movie (even though I enjoyed it) but you can't deny that the OST and visual aesthetics were both amazing
The general public usually don't recognize apocalyptic shifts in the zeitgeist until decades later. The movie The Matrix is another one of those...more than a quarter of a century later, it still has a significant impact on contemporary culture.
Additionally...people typically dislike something if they can't initially understand it. Then, they rediscover it years later and it makes sense - then they begin to like it.

It's been so many years! since 2000-1? I believe and this still rocking my brain! I play this so loud! I cannot get enough from 1 to 6 (Five stars Rating) the rest of the album is great too and the last in the playlist fucking ROCKS! or I mean Techrocks!
When I first got my Acura RSX Type-S about 12 years ago, I would play this Soundtrack on Loop while driving 90mph across the Metroplex from club to club. I miss those times.

Love the Planet Rock remix!! Old School hip-hop fused fitting in nicely to the groovy breakbeat that has a trance texture, but progressive house sound is a nice mixture of styles and a great compliment of all the best genres of electronic music. Paul Oakenfold makes some pretty awesome tracks.

I bought at least 3 of this CD - maybe 4. I had them everywhere. And you pop this into the CD player in your car (or my truck!) and just hit the road.. the music just takes you.. the music drives the car... You don't even know how fast you're going or where you will end up.. and, You don't even care.

I like how everything is connected and repeating itself in time. First we had Travolta who was a star in Grease musical with good ost. Now we have Travolta again with a good ost, and Paul O just sampling out the Grease is the world piece by Frankie Valli from the opening scene in Grease. Its coming in around at 2:18 looping in the opening track again but this time in Swordfish.

Hey Jimmy Go, Love that FV track from Grease. Shout out for that mention, but don't forget Travolta in Face Off, Broken Arrow and of course Pulp Fiction. He is not only good in any role he plays but always makes his character memorable when he isn't the main star of the show. Grease is the word .. is the word..

A girl at boarding high school introduced me to this sdtrk and it’s still a fave to resurrect once in a while. Don’t love the Unafraid track, but used to jog to Dope Smugglaz, Dark Machine and Muse New Born EVERY DAY since my 2 miles lined up w/the length. Lapdance and Planet Rock don’t hurt, Lapdance is a 2001/early NERD time capsule ;) I dig the spoken Travolta intro, too, even tho I hear the movie’s bad.
The movie is perfect in his class.. infact i have watched more than dozen time..... after every year or so i watch it...i am obsessed with everything in it...
