For the record, NWA had a similar ending with Dusty Rhodes and Ric Flair with Joe Frazier as a guest ref in a main event , point being that boxers are not as tough as wrestlers , as a bit of blood was enough for a boxer to stop a match.

Oh wow, Bambi was in that early 90s fairly depressing Southern independent wrestling documentary. I did not realize she had actually had some prominent spots in the past, as she seemed like an up-and-coming type who was born about 10 years too soon for women's wrestling (probably 20 years given she was on this show though)
One problem was the WWF/WWE was the vision of one man. When you have more than one promoter involved then you have problems. Pro Wrestling USA had the ame issue.
I remember this playing on TSN (Canadian sports channel) around 1998. That main event reminded me of a new player in a Wrestling video game. Kerry just spammed his Claw and Discus punch like 5 times each. LOL

Kerry von Erich was part of a lot of wrestling history

I could watch wrestling bios go over a whole world heavyweight title from any business and be entertained.

Kerry's ability to move after his accident yet alone working an entire match is damn near superhuman. RIP.
In todays world, he would have been admired for his handicap.
Wasn’t the fact he was missing his foot something most of the talent didn’t know about?

Historical note- Kerry lost a match to Fujinami via blood loss.
Tatsumi refused to win the Title that way.
This happened days earlier.

Kind of reminds me of Flair. Natural heel, but still pulled off the occasional babyface run.
