He does suck. He's always sounded better in the studio thanks to editing. But what do you expect, he never practices. Any pro drummer that respects himself dedicates a lot of his time every day to play ruidements and practice.

If Zildjian Z3s suit your taste, you may like Stagg Myra cymbals, great metal cymbals. They hold up very well in my experiences and are a lot more affordable than Z3s, but to each his own.
Total noob question. How do you silence your bass drum? Mine sounds really boomy but it has really long sustaining sound. Any tips on how to make it sustain less? Anything would be nice.
Fauky Put something in your bass drum like blankets, pillows or anything like that. Also get a kick pad thing, it helps give more attack and less tone, and try a different batter/resonant head tuning combination
+Roy Patterson this has nothing to do with Zildjian or Paiste or any other...some of Paiste cymbals sound awesome, but you have to put the price for it. those are the cheapest cymbals you can get so they sound bad for sure :)
+GasTDrumS yes, Zildjian cymbals are the same way, you can get a cheaper made symbol or you can get a medium made symbol, or you can get the top of the line symbol, which you are going to pay a lot more money for, that's the same thing with car's too, just about every has different variety of products that ranges in prices.

+Thomas Crémier For the past 27 year's I've just always preferred Zildjian symbols or Sabian, which are really Zildjian cymbals also, they are made by one of the Zildjian Brothers who went his own separate way years ago and started the Sabian cymbal line.
Less pissed looking and would have been golden however 100% understand and trust me im right there with u every note !! MUCH love!! AND FUCKIN LOVE THIS SONG!!
