    As soon as you go on a diet you think of food all the time, breakfast is not over and you're thinking of lunch, then dinner it's crazy. I stopped all the diet fads. I now have a smaller plate so my portion size is smaller this has worked for me, and I feel I'm not missing out.

    So glad you had the health work-up. Catching anything is the key, rather than not catching it later then having to…. Proactive is always better. Thank you for sharing your journey and meal plan ideas. Keep up the good work.👍

    I am on the journey to relearn how to eat, portion sizes etc. I am focused to keeping in a calorie deficit, with my main focus on getting 100 mg of protein a day. As we get older us ladies need to increase our protein to ensure we don't lose muscle mass. I have lost 65lbs since June. Like you I know I cannot restrict myself as it is not sustainable.       Meant to add, work on not needing to clean your plate, eat until satiated, not full not stuffed. You can save the food left for later or just have something later if hungry. I make sure I pay attention to how I am feeling while eating so I don't miss my bodies signals.

      Thanks so much for the encouragement, it is definitely a struggle! But wowee congratulations you have done amazing! Yes portion sizes is something I’m still learning and the getting the macros right too but I’m definitely enjoying it more

    Yeah I totally get how you feel. You shouldn't feel guilty having a piece of choccy or sushi. You've not been discouraged. You've kept on going, so thats good as it can get disillusioning When your weight doesnt drop off as normal, peeves you off and when you had followed keto. Who care Lisa! Youre doing great. Its when you hit the big Menopause that itslows down. Awful.
    Also i rather you not do vlogmas every day if it means your going to get burnt out like last year and we start to worry. I so enjoy watching you xxx youre the best ❤i want you to slow down uf you havetoomuch on as we care

    You will be glad you changes your habits now for when in full menopause and after, it is much harder to loss weight and much easier to gain. Your walking obviously not only lose calories/weight, but also simply strengthening your body, improving circulation and improving respiration. Keep up the great work. The longer you go without carbs and sugar, the easier it is/less cravings. 👍👍👍

    Good luck on your new health journey. I was doing keto for a few months and feel exactly the same way. I was so restrictive but now I’ve put all the weight back on. I can tell you have lost a lot of weight in your face already!

    Peri menopause and menopause changes everything! It is so much harder to loose weight… everything in moderation too is important..

    Hi Lisa! I do more protein and fat, low carb. Protein and fat are satiating. Protein is key. I have some butter in my coffee with a splash of heavy cream. I am not hungry until around 11:30 sometimes 12:30 just depends. I cannot count calories as all I do is think about food. Like you said portion control is important. And not eating in between meals is important.

      Yeah I’ve been trying to make some occasional low carb choices too as I generally enjoy lower carb foods as well

    It’s hard 😕I have never done keto but I know people who have they lose weight but gain it back quickly and more. You are doing great 😊Thank you for sharing ❤😊

    I’ve found using my fitness pal to track calories a really simple way to loose weight. About once a week I don’t track for a day and still loose weight and it doesn’t feel restrictive. Good on you for not giving up and trying something different :)

    I'm going through the exact same shift with food ATM. Straying away from keto and now calorie counting. I'm finding it more maintainable as I have variety and can still enjoy all food. Especially when you have a family, it's hard eating different at tea time. Trying to stick to serving sizes when eating chips, etc, with a movie. Good luck to us.

    It's all good Lisa, I did keto and loved it. I stuck to it for a couple of months, and lost 5 ks, and then I rewarded myself the occasional cake or some other type of carb once a week, and I still continued to lose weight, and that was without even doing exercise. I'm still off the bread though, interestingly enough I haven't had heart burn since I stopped eating it, go figure 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️

    Great job! I agree everything in moderation. Food should not be looked at as a bad thing! I struggle with the same thing so I understand completely! But we have to live our life and not make food our enemy! Hang in there ❤

    Hi Lisa, you are doing well don’t let this take over your life it’s all about balance. When I went to a dietitian Geraldine Georgeo she gave me a plane for pre diabetes the best bread she said was the helgers 9 grain, I’ll see if I can find the plan and I’ll email it to you give you some ideas if you like. Give me a few days to find it.keep up the great work.

    cicada season!!!!!! can you get a standing desk and put a walking pad underneath? and just slowly walk and work for a few hours of the day

      Yes the desk I have is a standing one and I switch between standing and sitting throughout the day. Not sure I’d be coordinated enough to walk and type at the same time though lol
