Theme: Energy Security and Economic Interdependence in an Era of Global Competition
The wars in Ukraine and Gaza, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other shockwaves to the international system have exposed the vulnerability of energy and supply chains, leading to political instability in the West and some countries to pull back from globalization. New economic partnerships, ambitious trade routes, and the energy transition will reshape alliances and have a significant impact on geopolitics.
