I've often wondered how different everything would have been had Lady Joanna survived giving birth to Tyrion...
agree
@@auntielou3610 It's definitely a very interesting rabbit hole to go down with the different possibilities..
If his mother lived, Jaime would have never gone full Habsburg lol
I think people often assume Joanna would have been kind to Tyrion.. buuuuuuut.. like.. even before Tywin became the man we know in ASOIAF.. he was pretty ruthless.. and Joanna loved him…so I happen to think she’d be just as bad and possibly Tyrion wouldn’t have even survived past his birth
I sincerely think Jaime and Tyrion would be ruling the world and leading the fight against the other if they were raised by Ned.
As a side note, I'd love a discussion on his weirwood dream, it's my favorite passage of the series. Facing his brothers and having to explain to Rhaegar.
My favorite character arch!!
And one of my favorite povs to read ! ツ

KingSlayer the QueenLayer! I love him in all his monikers.
I absolutely loved this video. Thank y'all very much.
I'd love to see a video on each character from y'all lol!!
I really hope Jamie would end as a real hero in books. I love his charachter development so much!!!
I think all of the characters have to go through some sort of death/rebirth cycle. Dany, Jon (maybe) and Cat/Beric quite literally. Tyrion, Cersei, Arya, Sansa, the Hound, Jorah, Ser Barristan all of them have to kill a part of themselves to survive and move forward- and perhaps thats the deeper point of the books: in order to survive and move on, one must kill a part of themselves, for good and/or evil! Maybe that’s what happened w/ the WWs too!!! Fun ghost (and Ghost!) metaphors!!
Edit: for example, characters like Robb who couldn’t adapt and grow and “kill the boy” died horribly! And we have yet to know the past of Ltf and Varys to figure out where their paths lead to.
Wish i could give 2 👍🏾 you guys have been on fire lately!
Best character in the show and one of the best in the books
Sleep can wait! I love your channel, milord and Lady! You give stellar quality each time! I hope you will do a video on Cersei one day! ^-^
Jorah mormant is someone i want to go the jaime route and give up on dany and leave as he should seeing where he ends up
Mr. "Put this in the fire." is no longer the type to rescue Cersei from anything. Old Gods bless him.
Anyway, youtube channel MiracleOfSound made a song about Jaime and Cersei. nice song.
That’s an arch!! No way the books will throw it away like the show did. Great synopsis y’all!!
Never understood people who sought overthrow the Mad King calling Jaime "Kingslayer" like that was a bad thing. Yes, he committed the perjury of political assassinations. Yes, Maester Yandel sucks up to House Lannister throughout The World of Ice and Fire. And his critics may have had a point if Jaime just trying to save his own hide, but the bottom line is Ser Jaime Lannister saved countless lives by killing the king and his pyromancer.
I’m just reminded that Dumb and Dumber completely fucked over Jaime in one episode along with every other character. Wow.
Jaime at his worst is a better king than Bran Flakes.
Best channel!!
Jamie is my favorite hands down.
It's not easy being Green Hand
How do you always find a GRRM quote that makes the whole video so much more deep and meaningfull...
m'lady is a machine
I like those rare times when Jamie MUST find an alternative course of action due to having lost his hand... and he consistently believes that Tyrion would find a way... He asks himself, what would Tyrion do? To a great extent, it's this strategy... the desire to emulate his dwarf brother... that I find informative and entertaining.
as much fun as the live shows are.... nothing beats these deep dives!
I'd love to see another video about Jaime, maybe his future in the series
I love this analysis of Jaime but am I the only one bothered by how the narrators criticize Catelyn for taking drastic measures to ensure her children's safety (kidnapping Tyrion, releasing Jamie) while defending Jaimie when he does the same (pushing Bran). I love both characters because they are complex, put their families first and do morally questionable things when put into impossibly difficult situations. They are actually quite similar in certain ways. And I think that to criticize the protective mother and not the protective father comes off as biased at best and sexist at worst.
Good points!
Once again, great analysis. Thanks for dropping this vid.
One of your best videos to date, gave me goose bumps
OK, Jaime. I do like the new and improved Jaime, as in "Thapphireth!" "Her name is Brienne", "That makes you twice traitors." I don't know if he's quite redeemed yet (there's still the little business of tossing a kid out a window), but at least on the way.
Speaking of tossing and windows, I can't quite agree here. I don't think that's a grey moral area, and I think if it happened in real life as opposed to a popular fictional character, we wouldn't be talking about fine shades and extenuating circumstances. But even Psycho Psersei wasn't impressed with "The things we do for love". The "endangering family" argument doesn't work for me, because it's Jaime and Cersei who are doing the endangering, carrying on the hoohah in someone else's home. And that's apart from J&C being guilty of high treason on top of the twincest adultery thing. Bran's just minding his own business in his own home. So sorry, can't cut slack on that. If they were going to do that, they should at least have taken precautions.
And yes, Catelyn freeing Jaime was idiotic. Can't argue with that.
oh, bravo! props on the term twincest!
i once read a book where some quadruplets were all polyamorous together. i guess that would quadcest
Do you think Jaime sat the Throne after killing Aerys to own the deed?
Perfect timing
Great video! 🦁
These are the sorts of seeds Dunk of Fleabottom spread throughout the kingdoms of Westeros, before Robert’s Rebellion and before the dragons and the Others gathered their hosts. And that’s why we light a candle to the Smith.
When I tell people Jaime is my favorite character they look at me like I'm a monster!!
If you think about it, Jamie and Ned have something in common. They both did the right thing despite the personal cost to them and their reputations.
If you mean immediate family then yes Jaime is the only one who is nice to Tyrion. Kevan, Gyrion & Genna were actually pretty kind to Tyrion
This character is awesome and I like Jamie but I just can not get over Cersei. if you are brought up as he was, and still start something with your sister, then something is wrong with you. the fact that it is cersei does not make it any better. that bothers me almost more than that she is his sister. however, his character development is just insane.
Well, there might be something wrong with Jaime, as he experienced a lot of dark stuff early on in his life. He was completely traumatized by Aerys, so no wonder he lost himself. But even so, it doesn't take away from him as a character, in my opinion. Such an amazing one to follow, and really the only character that kept me invested during the last season of GoT also
Michael Holmgaard
Yes absolutely. As I said, his development throughout the story is awesome and his chapters are also among the best in the series. I just can not understand his relationship with cersei. The situation with Bran was certainly a difficult situation, but he was responsible that it happened. his relationship with cersei is reckless, irresponsible and selfish. he knew what he was doing and he knew what a human cersei is and he did not care.
@@cinebeast7915 Jaime couldn't controle it though. As wrong as it was, he was in love with Cercei. I would say, more than anything, Jaime was a victim of the times he lived in. He knew that Robert would execute his children and the woman he loved. That should never be a possibillity, but because of the way the standards were ser, Jaime had to make that choice. Jaime & Cercei started as children, when they didn't know a thing about the world, and with their mother gone, Tywin's cruel and depressed way of parenting... no wonder they continued their twisted game. I don't see that as Jaime's fault, but society's
Michael Holmgaard
yes he could not control it and he loved cersei but why? How can you love such a person? she is a monster. he made a decision yes, and it was just selfish. like rhaegar and lyanna. I do not care if it was love, that does not justify that. Jamie and Cersei grew up together as siblings do, which does not justify his starting a relationship with her. Inbreeding is a difficult topic but even today it is banned in many countries and is still despised in society.
Kevon showed Tyrion affection
OOTGH !!!
👏👏!! Let's do this..
New video, this will be fun. Any more Ashara Dayne videos plan?
Almost First......Thanks for giving me something to do on my day off.
I know this is a Jamie video...but can we just take a second on him pushing bran from the window? Everytime I relisted to that chapter I cant help but think how stupid bran was. I know a child could figure out whose talking because I had my roommates 8 year old listen to just the conversation part and ask her who was talking, she said the queen is talking to her brother. So an 8 year old with no clue can tell by the woman saying my husband the king and by the man responding calling her sister who was in the tower. The only question bran should have had was which brother is she talking too and never should have needed to look in the damn window! I also am wondering how cercie and jamie would have left the tower and how bran was found as it seems to me they should have been easily caught unless bran laid there for hours before anyone found him
Jaime killed his king, whom he swore to protect. Regardless of how mad Aerys actually was, Jamie broke his sacred oath and became cursed. And it is not clear at all why he didn't just restraint the king until his father men arrived, he didn't need to kill him. He is an awful human being, who's always doing the wrong thing, I don't understand why people call him a hero
Do you think you can spare Sir Jaime a hand? I think he wouldn't mind if it was green.
The argument that by pushing Bran out of the window Jaime was protecting his own children is bullshit. If I remembered correctly he never thought of them as his own children; Additionally, it was his own actions that placed them in danger is the first place. He placed innocent children in danger then tried to rectify it by attempting to kill another innocent child? Really?
Killing Aerys is one thing but attempting to kill Bran is unforgivable.
they ARE his children, and it wasn't just them that would die...so would the woman he loves...we didn't say that banging your sister is ok...we're just being honest, and saying that more people than not would kill the kid they didn't know rather than risk the lives of their family if they were unfortunate enough to find themselves in such a position
when catelyn is such a bad person that you MUST mention she sucks at least once a video.

Cat does what she does to protect her children-is the worst person in westeros
Jamie literally throws a child out the window to conceal his incest- ahhh no big deal anyone would do the same in fact it is admirable because he was protecting HIS kids
No one said it was no big deal. We simply pointed out that that’s a really terrible position to be in and there isn’t any good solution. No matter what children will be harmed. He chose his children, which just about everyone would. And please do attempt to give me an example of a time Catelyn protected her children besides the time she fought the assassin
Could Penny be Tyrion’s daughter?
Ned's nightmare wife😝
Aren't you guys being a little too harsh on Rhaegar.
When all we had was a 1000 foot view of Jamie, he comes across as a morally corrupt and arrogant prick.
Only once the books go into detail do we see the true man.
But with Rhaegar all we have is a 1000 foot view, the books don't go into much detail about who he really was.
Just saying.........seems unfair.
If you can provide an example of Rhaegar doing something that saved someone, or anything good, I’d be willing to reconsider
@@TheOrderoftheGreenhand
That wasn't my point though.
We like Jamie only because the books went into detail about who he is, the same detail was not given to Rhaegar so I think your view of him is unfair.
For all we know Rhaegor thought Lyanna was the key to saving the Kingdom, he was deep into prophecy and well read.
Even if Rhaegar thought getting with Lyanna was the key to saving the world, there’s still no excuse for getting half the realm killed in the process and showing absolutely no remorse for it
@@TheOrderoftheGreenhand
But you don't actually know he felt no remorse. Rhaegar is just too mysterious to have an opinion on. I agreed with you that his admiration is undeserved but everything else I thought was unfair.
I mean you implied Rheagar was guilty for the deaths of Rickard and Brandon because of his actions but Jamie was in the room and watched them die and did nothing.
Rhaegar was supposed to be brilliant. If he gave a crap, he’d have taken the minute it would’ve taken him to come up with a way to save the world without killing half the realm
Jaime is no Barristan The Bold. He is no TRUE knight.
You said that "Tyrion drove Catelyn crazy with his mouth, and then later in the story we see him do the same with Jorah." Tyrion never meets up with Jorah in the story, that's just the show. I thought you always went off from the books? Did you mean Jon Connington or did I miss something?
Jorah kidnapped Tyrion at a brothel in Selhorys in the books
Liking for the statement *his nightmare wife*
order of the green hand... i see you're reachers. you must be more pissed off than any of the 7 kingdoms if you live in the show universe
I'm sorry but there's no defending what Jamie did to Bran. He shouldn't have been fucking his sister and he shouldn't have gotten his King's wife pregnant. Jamie broke vow after vow which finally lead him to almost killing a little boy.
I'd be willing to bet that if you found yourself in a situation where the lives of the woman you love and your children depended on you killing a little boy you didn't know, you'd at the very least give it serious consideration...my money would be on you doing what you needed to do to protect your family
@@TheOrderoftheGreenhand oh yes most certainly I'm willing to bet most ppl would my argument is that he should've never put himself in that situation though. Even if we look pass him fucking his sister and betraying his king he couldn't control himself for a weeks to not fuck Cersie and Winterfell.
I can't deny that banging your sister is disgusting...I have two sisters and the thought repulses me on a level that words can't do justice...we were just speaking to what was at stake when Bran saw them...Jaime, Cersei and their children were all going to be executed...their House was at risk...not even Tywin could fight the whole realm and win, which likely would've been necessary for House Lannister to survive...their actions were stupid, but when you consider everything that was at risk the moment Bran saw them together, I can't honestly condemn him for taking drastic actions to protect everyone and everything he cares about
@@TheOrderoftheGreenhand no you guys made a excellent point from his POV, I'm just reacting how people in world would react, because even if they were Targaryens and lived by the rule of exceptionalism it's still not okay to fuck your King's wife look at all the trouble the mere rumor of Ameon the Dragon Knight fucking Aegon the unworthy wife caused. Jamie is a very intelligent man and we know he has control over his urges because he never once sleeps with another woman in his 32 (34?) Years outside of Cersie and we know women just throw themselves at him. Yet he couldn't control his urges for a few weeks or a month at best until they got back to Kingslanding where it was much safer for them to have sex.
Is it only me that liked how Jaime's arc ended in the show? Nobody actualy changes deep within
I love how you show Jaime and Cersei’s relationship as it truly is. A one sided love. Jaime loves Cersei. Cersei only loves Jaime to the extent that he looks like her. His love, while messed up and clearly abominable, is true. Cersei is a narcissist who can never truly love. She and Rhaegar would have been perfect for each other.
Brienne brings out the man Jaime is,
Cersei brings out the monster everyone believes Jaime is.
Sweet Hoe (Cersei) Alabama, indeed 😂
I love that your disdain for Catelyn works it's way in here.
I do as well lol! Cat was such a MAJOR factor in the downfall of the Starks, through sheer stupidity. It's appalling..
@@thisguy8106 Definitely. Catelyn is basically another version of Cersei. They both think they are smarter than they really are, and both had a big role in their families downfall.
We just tend to think Catelyn is better because she's Ned Stark's wife and in her head she thinks of herself as a good person as opposed to Cersei that doesn't really care about being a good person.
Catelyn is a disguised Cersei.
@@tatianaferreira5998 You're exactly right. But Cat is so bad, I refuse to even type out her entire name and will always call her Cat. And never a Stark. The Old Gods never accepted her and neither will I.
@@thisguy8106 eh, I think the hate for her is overhyped. She's certainly not perfect but her actions are pretty understandable given her grief. You forget that she also gave Rob a LOT of good counsel he chose to ignore. His downfall was as much his own fault as it was hers.
I love how their disdain for Catelyn works well everywhere, especially when you don't see it coming
I know you are trying to stay away from the show, I have to say that there complete butchery of Jamie (and Tyrion of course) completely ruined the show for me. I watched it when It first aired and will never watch that shit again. Disappointing considering that the cast was phenomenal and not only is book Jamie one of my favorite characters, show Jamie WAS also.
I haven't been able to re-watch season 8 since it aired. On the other hand, I don't seem to get tired of watching video's of people bashing GOT and how much it sucked. The show butchered every character I liked which included Jamie sleeping with Brienne; WTF.
I see their relationship more as an unlikely friendship. Jaime idolizes Brienne as what he wants to be. D and D aren’t smart enough to show even a fraction of that idolization on screen without making it sexual, apparently.
Like if Jamie Lannister is your favorite character.
p.s great work you two.
Andrew Wood Yeah, among my favourites. George is so good at what he does that i can’t say I have a character I love more than the others
I always wondered why the Lannister children were so unsupervised. The twins were entering lions cages, swapping clothes and pretending to be the other one, experimenting with each other after seeing dogs and horses mating...and their mother's servant saw them and informed their mother only when they were 8?! I mean, they were the cherished heirs of the second richest and most powerful family in Westeros! They should have been supervised day and night by servants and their mother while their father was Hand in the capital! And when they were caught experimenting, Joanna never told them WHY it was wrong and why they should stop, she only threatened them with telling their father and separated them, which was always the worst punishment for the twins. And when Joanna died in childbirth and Tywin got depressed, no wonder the twins got even closer than they were, feeling abandoned. Afterwards, Tywin's sister Genna or whoever was left at Casterly Rock to raise the children was very lax, as the twins continued to misbehave, Tyrion remembers lighting fires inside the castle to amuse himself as a child and Cersei abused little Tyrion blaming him for her mother's death.
Also, when Jaime and his men attack Ned and his men in the streets, everybody assumes it was done for Lannister pride, when in fact he was trying to intimidate Ned into freeing his beloved brother. Throughout the books and show, people always assume the worst about him because he killed the Mad King, but most are hypocrites because they swore to obey the king, too, and still they rebelled, albeit some had good reasons to. People condamned him for incest but bowed to a king married to his sister, both the products of 300 years of Targaryen inbreeding. Barristan Selmy despises him, yet the King's Guard did nothing to stop the Mad King burning people, raping his Queen and starting a devastating war. When 15 y.o Jaime asked his sworn brothers if they should do something, they counciled blind obedience, so he "went away inside" or thought of Cersei while atrocities were committed in front of him. No wonder he snapped, 2 years later, when the king ordered him to bring him his father's head and prepared to burn the capital with wildfire. He had been a traumatised hostage there, to keep his father obedient.
Jaime's discussion with Catelyn is more interesting in the books than in the show and, as he warns her from the beginning, she doesn't like the truth when he tells it to her. Brienne is another story. He begins taunting her only AFTER she calls him Kingslayer, yet respects her rare courage to call him that to his face. He plans to hit her with a boat oar to escape, yet he finds himself helping her back into the boat. These moments of doing the right thing and his affection for his brother show what Jaime had been before being corrupted in the King's guard. As he says, the white cloak soiled him and not the other way around....
👏👏👏👏👏💯
@@cybele_m it's not one of his men. It's actually a pretty high born Lord whom Jamie bashes in the face for calling her ugly... and out of her name...I LOVE that scene!!!
@@cybele_m not as high born as Jamie or Brienne... but still..
@@cybele_m Oh yes, the scene with Brienne pushing the huge boulder was great! Jaime is observing her from the beginning, as he wants to escape captivity. Yes, when she reminds him of his brother he starts to shift towards kindness and respect for her, and when he remembers she took pity on him during his escape from Riverrun and let him lean on her, as he was drunk, stumbling in chains and weakened by a year of imprisonment. He was shown kindness and compassion so rarely in his life, that he is surprised when he receives them.He even notes she is gentler than Cersei. Also, he realizes she doesn't lie about Renly's death, as he lived at court for many years among the best liers in Westeros. He also appreciates her kindness when his hand is cut off, he's in such pain that he even cries and preys prayers he only prayed as a child, and she helps him back to health the best she can. I thought he would become like a protective older brother for her, when reading the books, untill the bath scene at Harrenhall where they are both sexually attracted to each other. They both hide it and repress it, but it keeps reappearing in the books. Well, he never knew how to be just a protective brother to a woman, without being her lover, too :-) . He gets jealous and possessive when he meets one of her betrothed, gets angry when that minor lord says how he rejected her and, when he insults her again, he punches him over his mouth with his golden hand. In the show, he does that to a Frey guy, so funny to watch! He is subconsciously aware that she is the only one who would fight to the death by his side, as shown in his dream before he returns to save her from the bear. I'm curious what happens with Jaime and Brienne going to Lady Stoneheart, as she lied to him that they are going to convince the Hound to release Sansa. He knew he had no chance of fighting the Hound without his swordhand, but he went with her anyway. She knows Lady Stoneheart would surely kill him, and that he is innocent of the Red Wedding, yet she wants to save Pod and keep her vows to Catelyn. She finally understands what he had felt before deciding to kill the mad king, when you have conflicting vows and feelings.
@@lalywindland5764 I like your reasoning here: "I thought he would become like a protective older brother for her, when reading the books, untill the bath scene at Harrenhall where they are both sexually attracted to each other. They both hide it and repress it, but it keeps reappearing in the books. Well, he never knew how to be just a protective brother to a woman, without being her lover, too :-)"
Exactly - "he never knew how to be just a protective brother to a woman, without being her lover, too"
A man who probably had more honor than most men. He is as an equal to Ned Stark they both did dishonorable acts to protect people. Jaime the people of kings Landing and Ned for his family.
This!.... I think this is why Ned's judgement of Jamie bothered him sooooo much.
Because they were equals. But Ned was known as "Mr. Honor".

Best ASOIAF channel doing a video on the best ASOIAF character? How can I say no?
Great video! As for Jamie pushing Bran, my dad said if he had to kill someone to save his children he would do it. He also said he'd put a lot of thought into it. Like, a lot. I'm inclined to think most parents would do that for their children.
Not only parents would do it for their children. I have no children, but I would do terrible things for my sister, and our love is pure. If you ever read or watch The Hunger Games, the heroine enters a contest where she has to murder other teenagers to save her younger sister. I understand her motivation completly.
While many parents would murder for the sake of their children, I dont think they would do it so easily. Jaime doesnt even think people will believe Bran. To me it comes down to early writing in the series. GRRM probably hadn't decided at that point what Jaime's arc would be. I believe late story Jaime would probably first consider running while the hunting party was still away and it would have been Cersei who pushed Bran, settling any debate.
@@jackalackb17 Exactly. In the old 3 page outline that's made the rounds online, Jaime goes full dark side and takes the Iron Throne by killing everyone in his way and framing Tyrion for it. Safe to say Jaime has deviated the most from his original incarnation.
This channel seems to have had its hand cut off too - it's quickly become the best GoT channel out there.
[book] Jaime is great
Another compelling video TOOTGH. Am not a huge Jaime fan but I agree that most of us would do unimaginable things to protect our loved ones. Things we could never fathom doing for ourselves.❤️
The best character in both the books and the tv show. Jaime has so much depth, and so many layers to his character. Characters like him was why I loved GoT so much! I hope Nikolaj Coster-Waldau finally gets that Emmy, the one he should've gotten long ago...

I've listen to this twice. Would do more views though. Jaime is my absolute favorite in ASOIAF and I just adore you guys made a video about him. I'm so happy and want the rest of his arc covered now! Thanks so much guys!
Jaime started off as my least favorite character and quickly became my favorite. I loved his arch. I just hope GRRM gives us a better ending than D&D did. Great job!
Anyone wondered that Jaime’s character is extremely similar to Darth Vader’s? Betrayer, oath-breaker, father, a justifiably arrogant swordsman, tyrant slayer, and a knight who aspired to be good but failed bc of the circumstances of their environment; and are ultimately driven by love. Was reborn by losing their sword hand and risked their lives in protecting the innocent who reminded them of their boyhood ideals. Hell, they even murdered kids (or at least attempted murder in Jaime’s case) for the sake of their own children’s well-being. That’s good enough reason for me to like Jaime: the parallels between him and Anakin are almost uncanny; and the character arc of rising, falling, and redeeming themselves is a great story.
If you just lay it out like that yeah but everything in between is different and even some of those similar major plot points lead to drastically different outcomes. For instance both men's finest act is betraying and killing their king/emperor. One is vilified, the other deified.
Jaime loses his hand at his lowest moment driving his necessity to change. Vader losing his hand had almost no consequence as he was given a mechanical one like the next day same as luke. It plays no affect on his actual character arc but is symbolic of anakins connection to robots, droids and anything mechanical. If you meant when Luke cut off his robotic arm well I'd say you missed the part where the emperor was torturing his son to death. That was his catalyst for change.
Jaime didnt push bran out of the tower for his kids ( he has no paternal feelings for them), he did it for Cersei. He fucked her right in front of his sons corpse because he was more worried about getting off than mourning. Anakin killed kids because he is a twisted fuck.
Jaime's arrogance was also a facade unlike vaders. Jaime didnt fail to be good either lol.
I consider Jaime's arc to be similar to Luke's!
I'm a simple man. I see my favourite YT channel doing a video on one of the best written and most misunderstood character(who also happens to be one of my top 5 favs), I hit like. Expecting a similar video from you guys on the one true king of 7Kingdoms in near future.
Sorry but your brienne of tarth is extremely beautiful they probably say she's ugly because they want frail subservient women.
No. If you read the books, it’s made clear she is hideous.
Brienne is unfeminine and unattractive. She is over six feet tall and muscular, with long straw-colored hair. Her face is covered in freckles, and her teeth are uneven and crooked. She has a flat chest and is mocked as Brienne the Beauty. She has big lips, and a frequently broken nose. Her eyes, however, are beautiful and blue, her loveliest feature. She wears a cobalt suit of armour in battle, and is exceptionally skilled in the use of blade, axe and morningstar. She is also rather skilled in the use of a dagger. In extreme situations, even, Brienne is an unpredictable and very dangerous unarmed brawler, purely due to her physical might.
Thanks for a great video guys. Can't wait until George brings out winds so you guys can start breaking everything down for us.
Hope to see more parralles with barristan too as jaime is hated for ending a tyrant while berry saves him
Also on how jaimes little quote on sending his regards will cause him trouble on dead cat
I got goosebumps at the end of this video, an amazing succinct way to sum up the complex character that is Jaime Lannister.
💯
I love how you never waste an opportunity to pick on Cat 🤣
His POV is my favorite. Love the character
Funny that Jaime saved the city by preventing the wildfire to be ignited while Tyrion did the same by causing the same fricking thing to be ignited.
What do you guys think about Jaime's Weirwood stump dream?
Also, do you think the show gave us a clue with Jojen's burning hand that they later abandoned? Could it be related to Jaime's hand somehow? Or perhaps Rh'llor's Fiery Hand?
Flawed, yet good hearted... Except for that time he pushed Bran out the window.
To be fair it was either that or the death of his children. Which one would you choose one dead kid or three.
@@LoneWolf-xe6ye It was wretched. Can't convince me otherwise.
@@kaspersaldell Oh It was wretched I'm not saying it wasn't I'm just saying it was a fucked situation.
@@LoneWolf-xe6ye I understand. Sometimes I just feel like people want to look past the awful things he has done and even apologize for those actions. Because, idk, Some people just seem to want a very clear-cut and non-complex heroic character in Jaime and they are willing to look past his terrible deeds. I really like Jaime, probably one of my favorite characters. His character is perfectly imperfect, but like George R.R Martin said, we should remember people by the good and the bad.
@@kaspersaldell If what those people want they choose the wrong books to read. In ASIAF nobody is 100% good they are all pretty gray. Of varying shades of course.
I hope one day he will be remembered as the 'Golden Hand'.
that's the name of pt 2
This is why you guys are amazing.
Jamie is very much one of my top favorite characters and I cant wait to see this video.
It’s funny to me how people are now saying Rhaegar is bad. No one in the books at all speaks ill of him even after he started the war that divided the 7 kingdoms. Not even Ned can recall an evil Rhaegar. And now The Kingslayer is a misunderstood good guy. Not to me. He is a bad guy who has done some good things. I don’t hate him and love his character. But he isn’t even asking for us to view him as being misunderstood. Jaime is just himself.
the point of our Rhaegar video was to point out that the entire world (ours and George's) revere Rhaegar in spite of the fact that every known thing that the guy ever did points to him being a POS...his actions and legacy don't line up
Poor guy, Cersei had him pegged for hired help from the moment he came out of the womb.
Green Hand!!!
Talking about Jaime and Cersei
I believe fully that the twins are the bastards of the Mad King
It explains the incest their beauty and that Cersei is getting more insane than ever.
Evidence: "But one day I will have your tongue ripped out with hot pincers, and that will be hilarious." Cersei's thoughts adwd chapter 65
Her imprisonment in The Great Sept of Baelor was her own Defiance of Duskendale. Reading chapter 65 of A Dance with Dragons I doubt she will ever get out from
Red Keep in fear of the streets.
During Tywin and Joannas wedding Mad Aerys took some liberties during the bedding ritual and said that it was a "great pity" that the first night tradition had been abolished. When Jaime and Cersei were born Aerys ordered Tywin to bring Cersei and Jaime to court when they were fit for travel. Showing that he really wanted to have Jaime as an heir to replace Rhaegar.
And for the Tyrion Targaryen supporters out there: "Jaime, sweetling, I have known you since you were a babe at Joanna's breast. You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg and there's some of Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak... but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you. I said so once to your father's face, and he would not speak to me for half a year." Genna Lannister to Jaime Lannister.
It's the kind of theory that if isn't true, It would've make sense if it was! (And it makes more sense than Tyrion being a Targaryen!)
Hey guys I'm not tryna rush you or anything but we are all literally going to die if you dont make new content.
