I am 63 years old now, but I don’t know how life will feel like if there is no pain. All my life I have been living in pain. I do not have any auto-immune disease, but I live in extreme myalgia. Every muscle in my body hurts. No treatment. Some say fibromyalgia, some say myelopathy from spinal cord compression and others say both. I dont want to go into details, but I did have invasive spine surgery for myelopathy, yet no relief except adding additional pain from removing 4 of my spine bones in the neck and the muscles associated with the spine and placing metal plates and screws to hold my head. I gave up my doctor profession and worked in Public Health so as to feed myself and raise my child as single parent. I no longer able to work for the past 4 years. Thank God for giving me strength to live until now. I have hyperparathyroidism for several years now and so now every bone in my body hurts in addition to previous myalgia Had surgery and removed parathyroids, but it returned. Now, parathyroidism affects my Vit D balance and more bone pain. Only recently, I felt I would rather be dead than going thru this pain. I realized I am being selfish and my son needs me. I can’t just quit. I feel for you Dd and I wish I meet you one day.

I am 63 years old now, but I don’t know how life will feel like if there is no pain. All my life I have been living in pain. I do not have any auto-immune disease, but I live in extreme myalgia. Every muscle in my body hurts. No treatment. Some say fibromyalgia, some say myelopathy from spinal cord compression and others say both. I dont want to go into details, but I did have invasive spine surgery for myelopathy, yet no relief except adding additional pain from removing 4 of my spine bones in the neck and the muscles associated with the spine and placing metal plates and screws to hold my head. I gave up my doctor profession and worked in Public Health so as to feed myself and raise my child as single parent. I no longer able to work for the past 4 years. Thank God for giving me strength to live until now. I have hyperparathyroidism for several years now and so now every bone in my body hurts in addition to previous myalgia Had surgery and removed parathyroids, but it returned. Now, parathyroidism affects my Vit D balance and more bone pain. Only recently, I felt I would rather be dead than going thru this pain. I realized I am being selfish and my son needs me. I can’t just quit. I feel for you Dd and I wish I meet you one day.
