Because Black want to checkmate White king

If bishop takes, then pawn takes with check, king can't take pawn since then black bishop skewers the queen so king has to move to g2, e2 or e4. They all lead to checkmate with Qb2. Qb2 also stops bishop from taking at 2:58 with checkmate threat
