Thanks for watching this video! I got a lot of questions asking for the accurate numbers for the maximum and minimum estimated family contribution (EFC) for Minerva. I chose not to answer this because the numbers have changed over the years. Please take this with a grain of salt, but a fellow Minervan shared the estimates for a recent batch: maximum aid: $34,650 minimum FC: $1,950
Hi Eisha! I really look forward to your video on free/cheap food. Minerva is in one of my options (I was accepted!) and food remains the biggest concern for me since I'm from a very low-income family. Thank you!
Really hoping to see the free food video. I am currently studying a Masters of Global Business (a different program that travels a lot abroad) and would like to know how you managed to get free meals. I appreciate that you factored in these other costs because despite my best budgeting I didn't factor in the covid tests needed for travel amongst other costs. Cheers!
Hey Eisha! I wanted to ask about the KL YES program. I am from Pakistan aswell and want to apply next year. Can u explain a bit about the next year's applications etc. Furthermore, what were the tests that u had to take to apply ? Thanks
This is because the cost differs based on the student and their need as determined by the financial aid application. Some people are paying full tuition and fees while others may pay very little. I do not know the exact number for the lowest tuition as I have heard varying answers from different graduating classes.
@@luanagomez6656Hello! So that’s exactly what I’ve been trynna research lately. It’s very confusing cuz the university says we meet the full need of an accepted student but then people come out and be like oh you actually have other “hidden fees”. What if i can literally afford none of that? Please let me know if you found out anything about it cuz I’ve looked up a lot of stuff online but no one answers the question😭
@marwa-k957 hii, lately, I've had some meetings with them, and they said that you are allowed to apply for a work-study program (basically, you work for them, Minerva) to paid the loads that also you can get from them but they didn't recommended to do that in the first year 'cause it could be difficult to adapt at the lifestyle they demand By the way, you will need some money to survive at least the first 2/3 months and cover all the expenses to be able to adapt to a new country such as telephone expenses, life insurance and food and personal hygiene products3
Hiii Eisha! I have been selected as an Exchange Student in the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange And Studies Program (2022-2023) I have some queries regarding the Exchange Program I know that you're an experienced Exchange Student Can you answer my questions? Here are the questions: 1. What about CBSE Boards during the program? 2. Will I have to face problems in future if I don't attempt Board Exams? 2. Do I need to drop out of my school in order to get into the program? 3. What are all the necessary documents do I need to submit with the main application?
Thanks for asking questions here! 1. You likely need to repeat the year/take exams before or after YES 2. No idea 3. No, you only need to repeat the year depending on your country's education system 4. I do not have a list of documents, wait for instructions by the YES team in your country.
How much is it roughly per year because I don’t really understand it on the website, and how much is taken off of the scholarship. Thank you appreciate it!
Hi Mireya! Unfortunately I can't provide a number because this depends on your family's financial situation. Every student has a different package...but loans are generally around $5000 per year
Hello, I actually had a question regarding the test section of the admission process. For the writing part, how to do we go about it? I mean do we have type at the moment or write it on paper because my typing speed isn't very fast?
Hii Eisha! I'm a high school student from Brazil. I'd like to ask you if you think is there anyway of living off myself in Minerva ( reciving no financial help from my parents). In my country, there is an organization that provides a schoolarship of 10.000 dolars per year for Minerva students, but I don't know if even that is enough to afford everything you said!
This depends on your financial aid package (based on your family income and assets etc). But if you have good financial aid + this scholarship I think you should easily be able to cover everything here. My purpose is not to scare you from applying (because if you do get in, Minerva can help you afford the "unexpected costs" as well, and most importantly not all of the costs here apply to every Minerva student! I hope this makes sense:)

I was thinking of applying to minerva but i can't afford airplane tickets etc at all and financial aid doesn't cover that :/
Thanks ,very helpful video
Thank you 😊
Does Minerva ever fully fund any student, like their tickets food, accommodation, tuition and all.
I'd love to watch a video about how to keep costs for food as little as possible :)

Do they provide any support with applying for visas in the cities of study?
What about English literature?
You say ACTUAL Cost in the title and you didn't even give an approximate.

Yes, you have to type unfortunately..
Great video. How much does it cost for a year to study in minerva? Could you please answer this question in rupees if possible?
Like I mentioned in the video, there is no set cost (it depends on your financial aid package!)
@@theprogresselement Could you approximate?
So i have question do you pay all the money after you graduate or while you’re learning
You pay the interest as you're learning, and the rest after graduation (although you can pay it off earlier if you can!)
