Link to my 2019 BMW 440i Review: ua-cam.com/video/vK18Czyv5sg/v-deo.html Really sorry how this review came out for such a special car, hope you can forgive me all the mishaps just compounded and I could not properly assess the vehicle while driving. But let me know your thoughts on the M3, is this one of your most favorite M products? Follow me on Instagram and Twitter @exhaustsports for more updates. Thank you
I own the same exact model, she has been ignored for a minute with the 911 becoming the primary car. This video rekindled so many emotions. I'm going for a drive this morning! Nice work sir.
There’s always going to be different opinions based on personal experiences. I’ve had 3 different generation M3’s, and now have an M4. All purchased new and all had about 130,000 miles when I sold them. Other than general maintenance, I never had an issue. I drove them aggressive, but never abused. Maybe I just got lucky, but if they had given me major issues, I would have stopped buying them. I do agree that if I bought anything used, it would have a warranty.
The stock shift knob used to pop out on me also. Sometimes it would end up flying in the back seat especially during hard fast shifting when I had my E46 M3 😌
I rarely comment on videos but I gotta say this is honestly a pretty solid channel. I've been watching for a few days and didn't even realize it isn't a million sub channel, so good on you. I can tell you are passionate about cars and it shows in the way you speak about them. This m3 is sick and also your lexus is just badass. Keep it up man.
Michael thank you so much for that humbled to hear that from a viewer I try my best to convey what cars are like to people in a pragmatic fashion and Im very happy you appreciate the content. Again, I appreciate your support sir, stay blessed!
I really appreciate this video it was awesome! I'm not a huge BMW fan but it was really cool that it wasn't as negative as I thought it was gonna be whether towards the car itself or to people who do like BMW's, you know? It just shows how much you love cars in themselves and that you're not a biased car reviewer so thank you so much for that I love you videos 😀
This was the best 3 series ever made, I'm just going to say that. BMW hit a home run in 2006 with the E90 body style. Timeless, aged incredibly well, still looks new today, hydraulic steering so you can actually feel what is going on, and this is the 3 series that just had that pizazz. The current 3 series is quick and cool, but there's just something about this one that showed that this was peak 3 series design and driving. The real crucial problem is the 4.0L V8, not the sound and pull, because both are fantastic, but this was basically the E60 M5's 5.0L V10 with a litre lost in displacement and 2 cylinders taken out, and both were insanely problematic. Rod bearings were the biggest issue, so this engine needs to be well taken care of for sure. Other than that, the engine was like the Honda S2000 engine, but in V8 form if that makes sense~
Thanks Kevin. You made me laughed when you started this video quoting warranty with BMW. You emphasised it strongly hinting it will hit your pocket so hard if you don't. You never begin the video that way for any Lexus! This is noticed (ahaha.). I know exactly what you are talking about as prior to my Lexus I had a BMW f10 520d and I had a warranty and still had lots of trouble with it. So I imagined with the M3, one will need deeper pockets... So at least you are completely honest and giving a strong tip to anyone interested in buying one of these...
Haha yup with a lexus its a take it or leave it type of thing but if you have been lusting for a car like this your whole life, go for it but don't leave that dealership without the warranty lol thanks again for watching!
Cool to hear that it drives better than the 240i, I was definitely worried about their steering a bit. Low seats and seating position are super important for a sports car. Although that wood looks horrible with a red interior.
Yea that wood was so out of place lol put some aluminum or even fake carbon fiber in an M product please haha. Yea it primarily rode far superior to the 240i and smaller wheels are available standard with the M3 of this generation so it can ride even smoother actually. Cool car as a whole thanks for watching my friend
Another great review. I tried to get an M3 last week, but dealers here in Georgia don't like haggling. I ended up cash buying a 2008 BMW 335i twin turbo. (About as close as I can get to an M3 for now) Thinking about doing a review. Love your channel bro.
Nice! Massive congrats sir on your purchase that is an amazing ride. You def should start doing videos with the car because that is a popular model of BMW that many would like to buy used so getting your ownership thoughts would be great.
I always like the E90/E91/E93 generations; might as well Mercedes W204/coupé and Audi B8/8T. They aged really good. Still good looking even we hit 2020. But yeah the cost of maintain them is another topic.. 😂
Good review and nice looking car. I'm surprised BMW put that woodgrain in a M car, would have thought aluminum or faux carbon fiber would be more fitting...
haha yea that was bizarre and that was exactly what I was thinking, aluminum or some form of a carbon pattern would have suited it much better. Thanks again for stopping by!
I live near the DC Metro area and the only time I drive in DC is on the weekends and after business hours on weekdays. Still hectic though and you are right about the drivers. People are way too overly aggressive. Even the slow cars that shouldn’t even be aggressive are being aggressive. 😂oh and this generation the M3 has 8 individual throttle bodies per cylinder as oppose to one traditionally. Same thing applies to the V10 M5
Haha yea man I totally understand but I was jk about that part im in Raleigh NC but I've driven in DC and it's as you say ridiculous so aggressive for no reason. Would make someone loose their hair lol. But yes Throttle Boddies that's what I meant haha thanks again my friend for stopping by
I live in MD, it's usually the Hyundais and Honda Civics that are out of control. It's laughable. I guess that's how these low self esteem human beings overcompensate for their shitty cars
@@NaijaBoiTellEm Yup lol they got us good for sure. Need For Speed Most Wanted and the E46 on the Cover was also a big reason for me liking the Bimmers
@@MeynMotorGroup The thing that always worries me about ragtops is if you park somewhere to i don't know a shop or something all someone needs to get into your car is a damn knife and not only then have they taken whatever you were silly enough to leave in there but then you've got the friggin cost of replacing the bloody roof!
That is very true not hard to get into a ragtop car lol but I guess you could just bust the window, although you would make a racket a rag is a much quieter form of breaking and entering for a thief lol. Also bird crap would be a pain too much to think about lol
@@MeynMotorGroup The OEM knob is one-piece to the boot and backlit; it's not meant to come off (definitely not gonna come off shifting) hence few aftermarket options. Sources: drives e63 and e93 m both true 6spd
no one in their right mind should be buying anything german new.. nice looking but complete money pits. the enjoyment does no supersede the monotony of repairs
Yea but not everyone is well off to do that if you grew up jacking off to this car and don't have the income yet but still want it, this car with this type of mileage and condition with a warranty is what a normal person who loves this car can aspire too
There's a market for everyone. Some people buy/lease new and after 3-4 years, trade or return and other appreciate the depreciation of the vehicle but need to be aware of maintenance cost afterwards. Take care of the car and it will take care of you. It does help if you know how to do some of it yourself or know a reliable mechanic. Don't take it to the dealership unless you have a warranty.

I bought 2008 e93. Nothing like having the top down, feeling the wind in my hair and the sound of the v8 in my ears.

That’s one clean 2008 M3. And you’re right, warranty is must for this car.
Yea I was impressed with how well it held up and yes warranty and I think most will be good to go
Exhaust Sports Auto You can tell this car was owned by senior citizen 😆 that’s why it’s so clean.
Yup lol got to be
