    Known problem with the n54 is the wastegates wear out a start rattling and can lead to boost leak. I had the same problem with mine
    at 158k miles

    You guys have probably answered this a million times but do you know the weight difference between the n54 and an iron block ls? Nice score, car looks very decent.

      We’ll know very soon. Going to weigh this car and see where it stands in relation to the record car, Mikes E90. That car for reference weighed in at 3650 with Mike in the drivers seat.

      I believe my lq4 t56 combo was about 50-75 lbs heavier than the N54 + 6 speed

      @@bhoochoo You sure? I thought the iron block was more around 150-200lbs more. The aluminum block was probably around 50-75lbs.

      @@lse90garage The E92 will have a little less weight than the E90. I don't think its much though.

      @@joyroc885 I think a lot of the weight is from the manual N54 trans, that thing was HEAVY compared to the t56

      Mike sold it but the new owner did Dyno it, made right around 350 wheel

    The N54 platform is a pretty good engine it just get a bad rap cause people don't maintain it like it should or have a bad tuner. The crank and rods are forged and handle a lot. Maintenance is key for these engine. Like a high maintenance women. :) If your full bolt on and running the high side of a ots tune (engine and turbos are healthy) you should be around 370whp on stock turbos. Custom tune you can be close to 450whp and e50mix around or over 500whp. Upgraded twins or going single turbo you can be in the upper 600 to 700whp easy. I have a 135 and it is fun car. I don't think it feels like a honda. LOL i owned Hondas in the past no comparison. Though a V8 in a 135i or 128i sounds like fun.
