Incredibly informative video with no fluff. I truly appreciate what you are doing.
Thanks for your advice, something i've been looking for a whole week

I was amazed when i first saw this really beautiful but I thought of the long term use so I backed out from buying this
Want will be the price for replacing the OLED screen?
hows the OLED after almost a year of usage? any problem?
Hi, my UX581GV got hard burned in Windows logo on bottom left corner. Is it possible to fix it?
Can you have the asus program on a razer laptop or is there another alternative to that asus software? 😃
Do you know of an app that does pixel shifting for other laptops? I work with digital illustration and design software which means long periods of static content and menu bars. Any tips to prevent this / extend the life of my screen?
Can you make a video about Samsung's AMOLED display on laptops as well? Would be highly appreciated 🙏🏻
Thanks Mr. KOKKEE 🥰
Sir what do i do for asus vivokook oled
I have an hp envy x360 with 4k oled display, there Is any software to take care of the oled display?
How is it ?? Is it still working fine ??
so much care to avoid burn in that in the end you are not enjoying the screen at all. I love high brightness to see all the vibrant colors. However, using low brightness, hidding everything, using dark mode, dark reader in chrome etc etc, in the end is like not having oled, its just nonsense to me, that´s why i ended up changing the asus for another laptop with very good ips screen and beatiful colors and high brightness without being worried all the time. Happy now.
Hi, i’m planning to do 3D modelling and photo editing on this laptop, which means there will be static tool bars and setting bars all around the screen, and I’ll be using it probably couple hours straight, do you still recommend using it? And for the rendering, it could take up to 18-20 hours sometimes, so with that kind of work load, do you still recommend using this laptop? I have a desktop at home, but when I’m travelling I have to use laptop to do the work tho. I really want this laptop tho, everything of this laptop fit my needs, but I’m just worrying about the oled burn in, I’m planning to use this laptop for at least 3 years
It's going to be difficult. I think with proper care, it could last 3 years but I wouldn't take the bet.
I have an older version of this Laptop (UX581) from the past year. I use it for photoshop, Illustrator and Premire. I didn´t find any issues at this moment (almost a year with the laptop). I use it around 8-10 hours a day, for week. I think this will be a problem in another 18 months or maybe more. I find delightgul to use the second display with the intelligent toolbar provided for asus for Adobe Suite. In conclusion, i recommend it, but if you want to be more sure, maybe a second display for home will be your best gear.
I had a hp envy 15 4k oled which came in faulty(red vertical bar due to display connector issue), sold it and just bought the Asus zenbook pro duo ux582
How are the OLED panel in zenbook 14x and between zenbook 14x space edition and mac14" I am worried abou that 2.8 k OLED in zenbook ?? Is it any good since it's been almost an year after this video
Lucky for you, we got our hands on both of those laptops.
Are you considering getting either those Zenbook laptops or the MacBook Pro 14 with the M1 Pro chip?
@@TechCritter zenbooks are cheap and I used windows pc all my life ,so I am rooted for it even though I have mac budget, today space edition release in india ,I am worried about the OLED panel
Hello Quick question, my Asus OLED Screen laptop accidentally got stained with a strong adhesive bond, Is it still possible to remove it? How?
Is using a live wallpaper better than a static one?
Technically yes, actually. Still, better to make sure the display turns off as soon as possible when it's not in use.
Um so I have a asurtion 4 year protection plan , can it help me with this? Like replacing the screen if it happen? Or is there other things that would need to be replaced too?
Im not sure about other places but john lewis has a protrction plan that covers olded burns, ashame its only 2years though :(
I,m wondering does the black borders from video apps like you tube cause burn in ? . As there's no easy way to change it to fill the full screen that I can find in the you tube options. I,ve got the zenbook 14x and after seeing video,s like this I,m thinking an LCD screen would of been the far better way to go for me
No. Black borders means the pixels on those areas are completely turned off.
Just bought this. Delivered today. (i9, 32gb, RTX 3070, 4k OLED, 15.6"). It has a few odd FAULTS that I am curious whether anyone else's has:
1) there is a quiet buzz whenever the track pad is used. Very quiet, but enough to be irritating, and certainly odd. Never had this on a laptop before.
2) the screen doesn't quite fit to the bottom besel flush. So there is a gap between the screen and the bott bezel. 3) actually has the green AERO backdrop when I loaded it.
Anyone else had/have similar issues with theirs?
The screen not fitting perfectly to the bottom and bese flush is also disturbing the oled experience for me.
Is there a way to use myasus apps on non asus laptop 😅 like aero 16 4k oled. Thanks
What about using all of Asus' screen care tech while keeping the brightness at around 70% (which I keep my current laptop at, at all times)... Will that prolong the life of the screen?
I'm thinking of buying the Vivobook Pro OLED 15, Ryzen 7 5800h edition
I am going to use it for music production, so I will have it on for about 4-5 hours at a time...
@@TechCritter do you think, not asking for a certainty or anything, that I could possibly get about 2-3 years before anything being burnt in to the point it is unusable? Again, my screen brightness will be at 70 percent and I will have all ASus' oled protection on... I will only be using the laptop for music production purposes only.... I wish I could find another laptop with these specs for the same price, $1100 U.S.
MSI has the same laptop, but I do not know enough about them to make a purchase.... I have always had good experience with Asus
I would assume yes, it can last for about 2-3 years with that usage if you enable all the features. I think the screen will turn slightly yellow after 2-3 years, but it will still be usable.
what happens if I am reading a pdf for long time like 2hours to 3hours
on asus vivobook s14 oled 2022 laptop
im also looking to buy it brother , how its goiing , how much is the battery life, i wanted a laidptop for long usage but after seeing this afraid . its out of stock now days
@@lyrically1888 I bought it a week ago and one thing right off the bat, that oled display is GORGEOUS. Yes burn in is a potential issue but It won't be a problem for atleast 3-4 years. Also for me personally I would rather have a burned in oled than a lcd. Performance is top notch, that 12500h flies high, battery backup is good and not an issue for me.
@@Sakkshams brother did u buy s 14 oled ? as its out of stock everywhere , how did u managed to buy it ?
@@lyrically1888 I bought it from asus official site, it has been out of stock lately but if you keep checking frequently it comes in stock for a short period and goes out soon. I managed to order it but the only thing I regret it, I bought it at 75k. People bought this for as low as 62k which is crazy but I needed this for my college so a compromise was made.
@@Sakkshams yes , some even got it for 53 -58 after using credit card , Now i waiting for some price cut . but the point I cant afford buying 75k laptop and then using it for around 3-4 yrs . what will u do if it gets some problem , will u chnge the display ?
If just used as office use, can we assume this OLED screen (any laptop with OLED) will pass 4-5 years? since they will turn on and off at least in work hour.
btw excel and word and other office use white in static. should we worried about that?
thanks before for the opinion
Hey yo - it's difficult to judge whether if OLED screens can last for 4-5 years. It also depends on the brightness of the OLED panel.
And yes, we should absolutely be worried about the static elements in Excel and Word.
Assuming that we're using the laptop at 50% brightness for 6 hours a day on Excel/Word, I think the OLED panel will most probably have burn in on those Excel and Word buttons at the top of the screen in about 2 years or so.
With proper care like pixel shifting and just literally turning off the display entirely when not in use (even for a minute), will prolong the lifespan - but we can't guess how much it will prolong.
@@TechCritter agreed with you. Even ms outlook have a static button also. But if i'am not wrong, some high end laptos already use oled since 3 years ago. Maybe anyone heard something in community how?
@@hendrawantan Right. Heard a lot from Oled tv users had a burn-in but never oled laptop users
Wow 2 thousand dollars , and I got to be careful!!
Hmmm this tech "oled" is not ready yet. Miniled more safe choice.
The Dark theme and Wallpapers is helpful for OLED displays? I mean they are off
How to take care of an OLED display... step 1: Buy a decent IPS display = profit?
The best way of taking care of your laptop is not to buy it with oled screen.
Uggghh… not worth it
