this show has sort of ruined tv for me, ever since this show i have never found anything as good as breaking bad. i loved every episode, every character, every scene. i cant find a bad thing about this show. there is no other show on tv that i have enjoyed more than this show. I felt the same....then I started watching Game of Thrones. I don't know about you, but I am a movie fan that was never really into medieval or historical genre of movies/tv with an exception to Lord of the Rings. Regardless, Game of Thrones is one of THE best written shows of our generation. Breaking Bad will always be #1 to me because it got me into watching TV shows after years and years of watching JUST movies.
I think its because, we are watching a normal person, easily turn into something he is not... but of course the thing he is not consumes him and totally changes him. It shows a somewhat realistic scenario. I too fucking miss this, can't wait for the spin off "Better call Saul." I heard that is meant to be darker some how. Another reason I think this show is so good, it kind of makes you feel the stress and struggle Walt is going through.
Watch Sons of Anarchy. Certainly wont give Breaking Bad satisfactory. But it is an amazing show. Seasons 1-5 are on Netflix. Season 6 will be on soon. The 7th and last season started Tuesday.

I'm so glad I clicked on Breaking Bad when I went on Netflix that one fateful day. Conclusion, I kissed my monitor with Vince Gilligan on it 2 weeks later after finishing the show (no homo, Vince. But thank you for providing me with my favorite show of all time)
3:48 that scene is probably one of the most powerful in the whole series, especially when walt glances down and sees a knife in his hand. its the first time in a really long time he has a crystal clear realization of all the consequences that his deceitful actions has led to, "we are family" while staring at his wife and son who are terrified to death of him, he then realizes the truth of it all. i could not help but cry at that scene when it happened, because sometimes we dont realize how our actions are leading up to some misery for ourselves and for those around us until there is no going back from it. goosebumps everytime i see that scene, also notice how the lighting is completely different in the house. it isnt the warm house we know, its dark and colorless.
I remember hearing this song after receiving my university entry exam results. They were poor. I had seriously considered packing a bag and walking away from my life. I didn’t. But I realised i am free to do so whenever I’d like. We needn’t take the beatings we’re dealt. Most just choose to.

ther e was a video that shows that at the edn of the finale an officer checks for walter's pulse. would be nice if on the end of BCS it takes place in modern day when walter kills the nazis and saul panics and ends up getting himself caught and/or walter is put on trial and saul flips on him.

Im seeing so many things in this video that I hadnt really put together before when I watched this years ago after finishing the show for the first time. The very first few lines Walter says about being missed, I feel it just speaks so much more as to why he went back after he lost everything to save Jesse, his own son didnt want to have anything to do with him and he didnt have any way to make up to him or the rest of his family. Jesse was the only person he could still help and provide some level of atonement to, maybe then atleast Jesse may one day miss Walter when he dies. The loss Walter suffered is straight paralleled with Gus as they both lost everyone who cared for them, the only difference being is Walter had Jesse, he had someone where as Gus didnt. Walter had Jesse to live and die for, Gus had nothing to live for or die for.

Jesse was the only person he could still help and provide some level of atonement to, maybe then atleast Jesse may one day miss Walter when he dies. The loss Walter suffered is straight paralleled with Gus as they both lost everyone who cared for them, the only difference being is Walter had Jesse, he had someone where as Gus didnt. Walter had Jesse to live and die for, Gus had nothing to live for or die for.
