Sammo and his stunt team's action direction was phenomenal but a good chunk of the final fight is performed by Lam Ching Ying (doubling for Chang Yi), the overhead shot of "Wilson Tong" is actually Yuen Biao. This is a truncated version of the finale, as the group fight is cut. Biao actually doubles for Leung Kar Yan, Chang Yi & Wilson Tong at various times during the finale.@@alikhawar520

‘BEARDY’ LEUNG GAR YUEN & WILSON TONG, who starred as one of the snake masters in SNAKE IN THE MONKEYS SHADOW in an awesome fight scene.Reading about Leung gar Yuen, was that he wasn’t a trained martial artist. He’d been a Shaw brothers stunt man,and according to Samo Hung, he was one of those stuntmen, who was able to pick up moves for the films he was in.Absolutley amazing. What it shows was just how hard working stuntmen in Hong Kong martial arts movies were, and the dangerous stunts they were put through. Both Jackie Chan and Samo Hung had worked as stuntmen, before becoming Movie stars, and we’ve seen from the outtakes of Jackie’s movies, in particular PROJECT A & ARMOUR OF GOD, Jackie could have been seriously injured or even lost his life.

Takes LOTS of practice to make it look THAT good. The moves, techniques, styles, theory are ALL real and Legit, but they just learn the forms for the movies. Just as Keanu Reeves, Trinity and the rest had to learn Movie kung-fu from Yuen Woo Pings teams that also taught hundreds of Chinese actors movie kung-fu, they had to spend nearly a year learning the same thing and continued training all throughout the making of the Matrix movies. Carey Ann Moss (trinity) said that it was sooo hard she nearly QUIT the movie several times. Keanu fell in love with it and kept practicing for a while too he said.

Whoooo!!! That was one of the best fight scenes ive ever witnessed. Down and dirty. Dead even mostly hand techniques and kicks once in a while. Fast and precise. Those men are scary. Chinas a mysterious country to have people that move like that. Its a MUCH older civilization than America!

Vi esse filme no cinema..creio que em 80/81 .Na estória ,são dois irmão que praticam o mesmo estilo "cruz de ferro" . Aqui teve o ridículo título: "A herança maldita do karatê " !!

I´ve seen thounsands and thounsands chinese kung fu movies and I think this could be the best CLASSIC kung fu fighting choreography scene ever. Please no misunderstanding me, Bruce Lee´s fighting scenes are in the hightest level; and the marvelous Jackie Chan vs Ben Urquidez choreographies are no classic chinese Kung Fu.

These days we know a large portion of these fights are unrealistically choreographed (the first king fu films starred opera performers!), the same can still exist said for modern movies, but, those two heels kicks!!! I NEED to know how those are done, they both looked brutal!!! Best parts of the final fight! 2:35, 6:05
