- Get motivated today to join the FDNY Youth EMS Academy (YEMSA). The application period to train in the Summer 2023 Cohorts is currently open. The program, which is held at our EMS Academy at Fort Totten, is a New York State EMT Basic Course that is offered to aspiring first responders ages 17-28.
