Interesting. My last comment was removed In essence I watched a fascinating interview on the Frost show with Mr M. He had fought in both the trenches and in the RFC, was fiercely patriotic and was a minister in the Labour government All in his 20’s He was desperately unhappy with the 2 party state we found ourselves with. Even then the Labour Party wasn’t quite the party the public thought it was. He intended to create a third party, his British Union of Fascists identifiable by their black shirts. In fact the 1936 Public Order Act was specifically created to prevent the use of uniform in politics Rather like a modern Question Time audience he was ferociously shouted down as he was interviewed by Frost. He was totally unrepentant and argued his case well. He was dead against the looming war with Germany having fought in WW1 and this seemed to be a running theme with his politics, and as an economic genius he could see the actions the Labour government were implementing would create more problems than they solved Patently he was popular with the working class at incredibly well attended public meetings and in some ways the riot that occurred in the East End in 1936 was as much as a result of what might now be termed as Antifa determined to stop the meeting An interesting man was Mr M I wonder if this comment will survive?
He was not popular. His party flopped. No evidence that he was an economic genius or that anyone has achieved that status. He copied Hitler and looked a right ponse and queer.

I would like Reform MP's in the UK parliament, to propose a specific law with heavy penalties, that criminalises the abuse, intimidation or targetting of any individual who leaves ANY Religion. Surely, the touchy feely wokes would have no objection to backing up individual 'freedom of choice' with new legislation?
Well put Simon, always thought the National Socialist and the Communist's were very similar Hitler and Stalin, after viewing videos of today's marches, police seemed to be having no trouble with the Patriot's, but seen a clip of the other side abusing a former refugee, vile things being said. Calling people fascists and worse when they have unaddressed concerned isn't going to improve the country.
Fascist corporatism is a way of organising economic activity which was attempted under the Mussolini regime. There were 22 "corporations" which represented various industries such as fisheries, mining, textiles etc. Both workers and owners represented their industry (in theory).
You are so right. Even in Italy we cannot call someone a fascist is not a fascist. For instance, to call Melloni a fascist is also ridiculous. There is a fascist party and she is not a member, so she cannot be one.

It is all smoke and mirrors anyway, the real problem isn't people coming here in dinghy's, the question which needs to be answered is the one of why if immigration powers growth in the economy we have record inward migration and a flatlining economy, or why does a country with zero growth need ever more people?

The Pilsudski situation was more nuanced than that. My grandfather told me that the level of governmental corruption , political chaos ( partially caused by Soviet Russia) and the disastrous economic situation required a radical solution that was provided by Pilsudski. And it worked- up to a point.

History is written by the winners. What is clear to me, having reached my late seventies, is that, neither WW1 nor WW2 was a necessary war in terms of combating evil. Those wars were orchestrated to line the pockets of the rich, and for maintaining the status quo. What did we, the people of Britain, get out of these wars? We lost millions of good people, and also after WW2, the empire. After WW2, Britain was on its knees, and up past its eyes in debt. Our wonderful leaders told us to rejoice, because we were the victors; all our sacrifices had born the fruit of freedom and democracy. The children born after the war, were small, due to the lack of protein in the diet. Many fathers, those that survived the horrors of war, were out of work. Decades later, when we had just about finished paying off the National Debt, and looking forward to more prosperous times, the COVID tyrany is visited upon us, followed, hard on its heels, by the war in the Ukraine. Oh how important it was, that we help the swastika toting Ukrainians fight for their borders and democracy against the Russian aggressor. Nearly 3 years on and at least 600,000 Ukrainian young men dead, and who knows how many disabled, and, we aren't to give even, a thought to the dead young Russians, because their suffering doesn't matter to the western politicians and their bought and paid for media. So how much are we in debt again, as a result of that disastrous adventure? The trillions will no doubt be divided up and laid on the heads of the people. To mention just one group being targeted for special treatment, right off the bat; the elderly have to pay their share, by having their income reduced by rampent inflation, and especially the hike in energy costs, brought about by our government's sanctions on Russian oil; our leaders prefer to buy their Russian oil from India or elsewhere, at vastly inflated prices. But dying of cold and damp, is just another sacrifice that, that this generation is being forced to make. And if it all gets too much for them, the government's new Assisted Dying bill will take care of all those who aren't robust enough to want to carry on living in their miserable circumstances. Perhaps it will make dying free at the point of service. No need for means testing with this service. The rich and the poor will be treated equally. Inheritance tax will continue to line the government's coffers, and think of the savings on pensions. If you are a bunch of Godless, unfeeling psychopaths, what's not to like.
@carolnewdawn1517. You have only missed the financial crash in 2008 when casino banks gambled away 600 billion and we had to bail them out as they were too big to fail. I can only arrive at the inevitable conclusion that regardless which Party is in control. They encourage privatising the profits and socialising the losses. The unbridled Free Market is a Monster.
That you imagine that WWII could have been avoided or that it wasn't combating an actual evil indicates that you are not a clear thinker or that you think that extermination camps and working people to death are not evil things. The world is better off with less people in it that think like that. Thankfully you are old and so it soon will be. I recommend turning to Jesus, he will save you and give you a heart that isn't evil in all its ways.
"Fascism, meant rallying round a single strong leader who would invariably become a dictator. It also meant the rejection of parliamentary democracy" You've just described the Soviet Union, Lenin and last but not least Stalin. Thank you.
Mosley and some others could see that parliamentary democracy was simply not working for ordinary people. And that, chances were, one man is generally going to be more intelligent, well-informed and capable than a whole mob of regurgitating clowns following the latest status quo. He called parliament 'the talking shop of Westminster' at one point. It's also likely that under a Mosley government, not very likely to have happened, but still, we would've seen the abolition of usury and crooked moneylenders in Britain. Not to say that Fascism is good or perfect in every single way, or for that matter the choice of Party name. But you see, if a political system or Party gets the 'job done', as it were, then maybe that's what is necessary.
Remember tho, britain had the largest empire in the world at the time, the lot of the working class had improved alot n many of them had only just got to vote for the 1st time in 1928, bit early to try to get rid n it wouldve destabilised britain as well as the colonies, imo.
Leading up to and during WWII the government of occupation imprisoned and detained over a thousand members of the BUF alone. True numbers of those geniune British imprisoned will probably never be known and the full headcount of falsely imprisoned BUF members was only obtained by FOI in 2005. So , if anyone is looking for a hybrid of fascism and socialism, in other words, a solution to Britain’s problems, it’ll never happen unless we either have Reform as our government and the palatable solution, or it will be the way I suggest and 10-20 years of a dictatorship to restructure the country into something that a modern democracy can then take over similar to the Swiss 🇨🇭 model

Interesting. My last comment was removed
In essence I watched a fascinating interview on the Frost show with Mr M.
He had fought in both the trenches and in the RFC, was fiercely patriotic and was a minister in the Labour government
All in his 20’s
He was desperately unhappy with the 2 party state we found ourselves with. Even then the Labour Party wasn’t quite the party the public thought it was.
He intended to create a third party, his British Union of Fascists identifiable by their black shirts. In fact the 1936 Public Order Act was specifically created to prevent the use of uniform in politics
Rather like a modern Question Time audience he was ferociously shouted down as he was interviewed by Frost. He was totally unrepentant and argued his case well. He was dead against the looming war with Germany having fought in WW1 and this seemed to be a running theme with his politics, and as an economic genius he could see the actions the Labour government were implementing would create more problems than they solved
Patently he was popular with the working class at incredibly well attended public meetings and in some ways the riot that occurred in the East End in 1936 was as much as a result of what might now be termed as Antifa determined to stop the meeting
An interesting man was Mr M
I wonder if this comment will survive?
He was not popular. His party flopped. No evidence that he was an economic genius or that anyone has achieved that status.
He copied Hitler and looked a right ponse and queer.
Thank you for the Lesson. I didn't know that, but it raises my awareness of buried history. Regards, Raymond.

Someone should send this video to the far left .
What is 'the far left'?
Fascist corporatism is a way of organising economic activity which was attempted under the Mussolini regime. There were 22 "corporations" which represented various industries such as fisheries, mining, textiles etc. Both workers and owners represented their industry (in theory).
So there you have it, why would anyone malign President Trump as fascist? Right of centre of course but not fascist.

I'm not a fascist yet, but I think I might well become one before the next election the way this country is headed!!! Part of the reason I think this is because I think a load of daft open borders muppets would label me as such already!!!

The Pilsudski situation was more nuanced than that. My grandfather told me that the level of governmental corruption , political chaos ( partially caused by Soviet Russia) and the disastrous economic situation required a radical solution that was provided by Pilsudski. And it worked- up to a point.

@@joejoejoejoejoejoe4391Perhaps the terms are for simpletons.
Hopefully you can avail yourself of that service shortly
That you imagine that WWII could have been avoided or that it wasn't combating an actual evil indicates that you are not a clear thinker or that you think that extermination camps and working people to death are not evil things. The world is better off with less people in it that think like that. Thankfully you are old and so it soon will be.
I recommend turning to Jesus, he will save you and give you a heart that isn't evil in all its ways.
2:32 Mussolini (il Dude ) co-founder of fascism referred to US president Franklin Roosevelt as a FELLOW fascist
"Fascism, meant rallying round a single strong leader who would invariably become a dictator. It also meant the rejection of parliamentary democracy"
You've just described the Soviet Union, Lenin and last but not least Stalin.
