Welcome to St Lucie West Centennial High School, home of the Eagles, located in Port St Lucie, Florida. Our mission at Saint Lucie West Centennial High school is to ensure all students graduate from a safe and caring school, equipped with knowledge, skills, and the desire to succeed.
Centennial has many academies and electives, with several of these academies being a part of the Career and Technical Education program which introduces students to post high school career pathways and provides opportunities to earn industry certifications.
Students will find exciting and fulfilling Career and Technical Education courses such as Early Childhood Education which offers students experience in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Students can earn their Infants and Children CPR certification, an Early Childhood Professional Certificate, a Child development Associate Credential, and so much more. The Early Childhood program offers an on-site preschool facility where students get a hands-on experience in the field of early childhood education.
For students interested in becoming a mechanic or working with engines, the Outboard Marine Services course gives students hands-on training in boating mechanics. Students will also learn entry-level skills for the outboard marine service industry. Hands-on training combined with laboratory and classroom experiences gives students a full understanding of marine mechanics.
The Criminal Justice Academy is for students interested in the legal field and Centennial is the only high school in St. Lucie County with a courtroom. This benefits students with a unique perspective of court systems and trial procedures. Students also learn forensic analysis, police ethics, and so much more! Students also have the opportunity to participate in other CTE courses such as: Culinary Arts, Medical Academy, Communication and Multimedia Technology, and Navy Junior ROTC.
In addition to Career Programs, St. Lucie West Centennial offers students many opportunities to demonstrate to colleges that they are motivated to succeed. Students may challenge themselves with advanced coursework including, Advanced Placement and Advanced International Cambridge Certification courses. Students can earn college credit and placement before leaving high school.
Students are also encouraged to get involved in clubs and activities such as Academic Challenge, National Honor Society, Student Government, and Athletics. Among our many star athletes, Centennial is proud of our District Championship basketball and soccer teams.
