I binged watched season one...just started season two. Love seeing how the game has evolved and to see that Phlinger is still Phlinger! Where was I 4 years ago?!
idk why but the whole opening scene where you say "hitting a dimorphodon is bad" then kill it in one hit and it just gets yeeted out of frame really killed me....made me laugh so hard. hahahaha love it.

I got pounced off my argy by one and killed, spawned back at base, miles away, flew back on a high level ptranadon, to then get dismounted by a microraptor, killed again by thyla, then flew back to the spot a 3rd time on my ice wyvern, only to find both my lvl 245 argy and 230 ptranadon had both died to the same thyla. A lvl 80 thyla!!. Worst night of ark ive had for a while.
For anyone wondering. If my calculations on dododex are right philinger play at taming speed 3. To set it up like this on singleplayer game you need to put 1.5 in box.
hey, I have a problem where thylas just don't respawn on my save. I kill them all, leave render, and they just don''t come back. I've tried everything and I don't want to dino wipe. What should I do?
I can circle the redwoods 10 times over and I'll never ever spot one over level 20! 😂 However... you have a series to record and I don't, so I'm happy you have the luck dude! Great series 👏
Sap, not really needed for kibble, but definitely needed to make the veggie cakes. I don't ever bother with any of the kibbles below exceptional, citronel is easier to get than sap and jerky. Easy as pie to tame a couple of low end rexes or brontos for eggs.
phlinger dude you don't have to do that if you need to make sure hes awake then go in your inventory go to the one that is next to the one where you edit tribes and that's where you'll that you can check the taming the torpidity, the effectiveness adn you can track where he is if hes knocked out

I've been trying to build by beavers on Rag and I no longer like them. They've killed my Sarcos twice. Admittedly, I've killed 50+ of them and have destroyed several of their dams. They started it though - I'm just finishing it. I may have to get me a Thyla to help commit beaver genocide. If it's high enough level, I'ma name it after you.
Hey Phlinger! Thanks for another great vid. I personally think that Ark has changed the Thyla stats. We tamed 3 on Rag and had the same low level melee stat for them, now your 2 the same. It’s a bit coincidental I think. 🤷♀️

I've been tameing this level 140 male mammoth for the past 3 or 4 episodes and it's only 40% tamed mejoberry. I need a wood harvester. I was waiting for you to get one.
That's the way it goes, lol. I've tamed so many 145/150s that end up having garbage stats. Meanwhile the 115 that I tamed on a whim manages to get S tier melee damage.
I would have watched this as soon as the notification popped up but I was busy trying to move my allosaurus but I got a little lost and ended up going the complete opposite direction 😂

I FINALLY found a male thyla after 2 days of searching (including the 10 hours I work and 4 hours I sleep) it was only lvl 30 but I took it anyways..first baby Dino from it came out as a sapphire color even tho the male is amberish and the female is sandy like..now I’ve been breeding like crazy for a high level male and female thyla that are both sapphire
There is absolutely no way you found a level 150 thylacoleo on the island even with the 5x multiplier. I refuse to believe it. The amount of luck you would have. Or maybe I'm just super unlucky.

id say dont get a stack mod thts like 100k stacks 99% weight reduc something more tame like 500'er stacks and 20% weight reduc ofc its still up to you but its more fun when you have to make orderly storages for items but thats my opinion :P
I love watching your play. You are hilarious and have a great attitude towards all the crazy random events XD. What settings help to get more higher level dinos on the island? In my game (solo not server) I rarely find anything over 100. I do have the max dino selected in the settings. Also is there any way to get dinos on the island higher than 120? I have found a few 'max' level for solo but was hoping to get 150s on my game.
The way he just had the arrows buried right into the thylacoleos eye just making it nothing but arrows was kinda bad rip that thylas eye Edit I just noticed it was above the eye just bad tho
Not bad but my argy is epic, over 12k hp, 1.9k stam, 1k weight & just over 800% melee. He's only 3rd generation from my breeding, and i got twins, so have a backup too :)

Too bad about the levels. I’m always surprised when you choose to knock them off the tree first. I usually fly above them and pick them right off the tree with the argent.

@@wojciechkowalski7554 I also have quite a few hours of gameplay on the Island currently, and my highest Thyla I've ever seen is 135, and they are rare as it is in the Redwoods. Maybe it's luck and lots of hours, but two Thylas at the same time 140+ is unreal amounts of luck.
@@jpvanden1 In my last playthrough I used dinowipe bcs no thylas spawned and I didn't have time to kill everything in area to check if the problem was overspawning of everything else and found 2 level 100s so it is just a lot of hours. + I am not sure but I think you can't spawn them on trees.

Ah, that tree the Thyla was on is one I usually throw a Platform on and then build a compound below for my base area.

How do you get beavers to respawn? Whenever I play on The Island they always go extinct after a few hours and never come back.
I think other dinos may take spawn spots. Kill everything. Not only man but also woman and children.

Might be a bit late but just in case it’s still helpful. Go to the bottom of advanced settings tab and tick the box next to floating damage text.

Cant spawn them in the trees, so we saw the real unicorn actually happen today (terrible stats in the end notwithstanding)

I have never had luck with max level tames. The stats are always bad. Level 135 is my sweet spot. I tend to get the best stats when I tame 135 dino's.

Go to the .ini file and change the max difficulty override to 5 for 150s. It's by multiples of 30.

Spawn commands are nice aint they,a 150 F,a 140 M,and an ovis,a weeks worth of farming high levels fixed in just a few minutes.Gotta love it
