    Really grateful for this video. I'm planning on doing my Masters in Behavioural Science but don't have and idea what I would actually do and if it's worth it. This has really cleared things up and given me more information on the next choices I should make.

    Thank you for your honesty. It was useful. Though, it was useful in showing me how corrupt behavioral science can be. When you start with behavior, you open up life and living to vulnerabilities and holes. A behavior can be beneficial for a corporation, but it can detrimental to someone's life. If, instead, we start with the process of living, then we can associate every behavior with that process. Instead of "behavioral science", we need "live science". From that, we can identify the behaviors that necessary and priority for living. Then, when a corporation wants to manipulate peoples' behaviors, we would have the science and tools to reject their requests and identify them as hazardous to peoples' lives. Without contextualizing all behavior in how it affects the necessities and priorities of the process of living and a person's life, you are left with a big gaping hole that allows unscrupulous actors to come in and subvert behavioral science to corrupt peoples' behaviors and lives. It's so sad that we live in a species that doesn't know how to live!

    Pete i know its not a question about ur field but would love ur opinion on my case- i am a hvac design engineer part of ( construction industry ) primary responsibility is preparing drawings & drafting of 2d 3d commercial projects on autocad then making detailed calculations of it on ms excel with charts. I was thinking about being a Solopreneur so that i don't need to join any company but directly get clients working frm home through some online connection building but that's where the difficulty lies as the clients are preferring more experienced candidates for their projects so could u help with how can i stand out in this situation to start attracting potential clients.. i love reading books also so could u suggest some best books on client management & building connection with them..

    • @PeteJudo1
      @PeteJudo1  2 роки тому +2

      It’s hard in the beginning admittedly. U probably have to do some pro bono projects for small clients first, maybe even family and friends, in order to get some experience and build portfolio. Always ask for references after.
      I would also recommend becoming a specialist in something. Rather than say you do everything, try position yourself as a specialist in something rare and valuable. Then you become more compelling as a prospect, and compete on a playing field that’s different to other companies that are more general but benefit from longer history.
      Nick Kolenda has some good books on persuasion as well as zoe chance.

    Hi man, that video was greatly informative, thank you for posting this. I have one question however, with that much leverage over a company saying and knowing you can save it thousands, would that mean your company charges them a hefty price? If so would you get a turn over on that profit? I've been reading a lot lately on behavioural economics ( including the book "Influence") and the power it holds is phenomenal.

    • @PeteJudo1
      @PeteJudo1  2 роки тому +1

      Different consultancies have different charging models. Are are usually a charged on a set price per project. Rather than doing some profit sharing scheme based on results. Generally that model makes the maths easier for finance, so we tend to do it that way.
