      He didnt just "make it" to the NFL, he was there for over a decade. That's not in the lower tier of the 1%, it puts him closer to 0.1%.

      Not necessarily.
      He might pass the ball better than many but just because bad under pressure. In the NFL you have less than 3 seconds to pass. And you gotta move your feet and read a defense in 3 seconds.
      If you give him time like in this drill then you can see he has proper throwing ability.

    I really like Dan. He's a really good TV personality. Knows his football. And honestly I thought he got a bad deal in Chicago. As evident he could throw the ball a bit 🙂

    Classic Orlovsky: flashes of greatness, no clutch genes and ALMOST naturally gifted enough. Maxed and maintained as long as he could, great part of football.

    The first game I ever saw Dan play was perhaps his best game: the 2004 Motor City Bowl. He was great in that game vs another future NFL QB: Bruce Gradkowski

    Played against Dan in Hs when he played for Shelton, (i played for west haven high) and man let me tell u, this dude was a BEAST! Mediocre in the nfl but in hs he was sick 🔥

    Shows you how good you have to be to play QB in the NFL. This guy was a backup mostly. Amazingly accurate still today. I couldn't hit one.

      Do people forget just how trash this guy really was in the league? 3.1k yds and 15tds in a decade of playing is insane when rookies and subpar starters consistently eclipse that. Ignoring one of the dumbest plays in NFL history I'm happy he carved out another long career as a skip Bayless hot take merchant, it beats listening to Cam Newtons ego.

Those numbers you gave are over a tenth of his career yds and a fifth of his career tds.     As a Lions fan, I don’t hate on Dan. He was the only dude there when we needed someone at, arguably, the worst time in franchise history.
    To be fair, Dan didn’t have access to the greatest coaching, management, training, development or anything really.

    These new Nvidia GPUs with AI are incredible. The way they realistically rendered and animated Dan made it was very hard to tell it was AI. The slight detail that gave it away as fake was Dan not running backwards 30 yards for a safety
