I could understand it if you asked for the balance back and were refused, meaning you had to go to the hassel of taking someone to court. That ends up being a lot of time and effort. That said, I haven't watched part 2 yet, and it sounds like the plaintiffs may have broken the contract details, in which case they are not owed anything, and in fact could even be counter sued in the right circumstances. It really all depends on the contract.

Yes it is but probably not as much as you think. Property taxes change based on improvement to the land. If this is just unprocessed land the tax per acre would be very low, still on 7900 acres it would be a ton, but not like million dollars ton lol
Umm there are 100s of thousands of landowners that do this throughout the country. The big income comes from logging and forestry companies, then leasing parcels out to hunters.

Most people I know who hunt don’t rent land. It’s either their own land, a friend’s or relative’s land or public land. The people I know who do rent go in as a group to pay. Also a lot of my family members are country folk. They have been doing this for generations. They can kill a deer and have it ready to eat that night. Although they do send it off to a processing plant if they want deer sausage.

We are currently looking for 40 or more acres to start our own deer farm to protect the deer cause we love them. It will keep them out of the way of cars and keep them away from the hunters. It’s the only way you’re allowed to legally feed the deer here in NYS and we love our babies that live on our woods, but then every year have to cry when we lose 1. I hate people that rent out their property that these creatures are living peacefully on, to go hunt them down and kill them. It makes me sick!

God here in Australia I don't know anyone that hunts. I don't know anyone with a gun for that matter, oh actually I do, my cousins hubby is a cop. Hunting is really frowned upon here, especially in my state
Interesting. I live in the USA. There are multiple reasons for having a gun. most people I know don’t go into the woods/marsh or anywhere there are wild animals without being armed. I don’t own a gun and thought they were being overly cautious until that time I was walking in a marsh and saw evidence of wild boars. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I would think that with all the creatures in Australia has that more people would be cautious about their safety.
Well my family hunts deer and I believe it’s beneficial in helping to control the population because there aren’t enough natural predators anymore. I have so many friends and family who have hit deer. My bff has PTSD from it. I’m afraid to drive to some of my relatives homes at night because they live deep in the country and I have to travel some on narrow roads. One time I was driving and I saw what looked like dozens of small lights moving across the road up ahead. As I got closer I realized about 8 or 9 deer had crossed shortly before I got to that point. Scary. Plus my family eats what they hunt. Unless you are a vegetarian then something had to die for you to eat.
