These urban fun rides are probably my favorites - I'm also an architect and am rather fascinated by riding on our built environment - Sam taps into this especially well. I try and do similar on most my rides thru town to the local trails - there's always something new to discover and try. What is built around us and what we can ride on is only left to our imagination (and occasional whimsy of security staff scolding us away!). What a fantastic video! Keep em' coming!
THE city of stairs set of Doom! LIÈGE! INSANELY AWESOMENESS OF FUN AND AMUSEMENT with you Sam. I love Belgium. Thanks you for finding back the cat of François. This is the best.
Omg, loved the history channel teaching moment complete with 'medieval' music! Great doomage! If you ever make it to L.A., you gotta try running the Scares - tight, steep metal stair case that drops into a canyon near the ocean (into what was, no-joke, a pre WW2 American-Nazi sympathizer camp) - there's a seriously gnarly trail that drops in from the other side of the canyon, you can make a pretty sick shreddy loop out them.
@@SamPilgrim hey sam, ive got your old haibike 3.0, the one ypu put the fox forks on, i bought it off simon the scaffolder, its still going strong, and fills me full of confidence to do jumps lol 😂
Stay awesome, Sam!! Every upload of yours is top shelf entertaining and fun, dude. Don’t change a damn thing haha. Stay up stay safe and keep it dreams, eh? Cheers, bud!!
Another unique, inspiring and entertaining MTB video from the most entertaining of riders. I haven't laughed so much in ages. Thanks for making my day.
Great vid Sam!! It’s cool to see just ride around and shred a town. I would love too see you film a “How I see it”. Maybe a US city Pittsburg, is an old steel industry city. It has some elevation and prob a lot of abandoned factories and warehouses. And as a bonus your only a couple hours from Woodward.
What an amazing city and seeing it through your eyes and behind your handlebars gives us a perspective we would only get if we rode their ourselves. Your enthusiasm always shows no matter what your riding, thank you for once again bringing us with you!
Coming from a country as young as Australia, everything about this place just blew my mind. Incredible architecture and so many random details absolutely everywhere. We simply do not have those layers of history here. Incredible city, surprisingly great way to explore it 👍
I would love to see your track at the end of a day like this, with some stats, you probably cover so much elevation and distance, insane! Record it using Relive so we can see it on a 3D map "that'be well cool". Keep on keepin' on Sam!
I love the throw back feeling of this vid. Reminds me of old videos But you can’t get those awesome side views of stairs solo. Don’t forget Lewie next time ;)
This was such a sick vid! Lovin the POV, stairsets of doom, history lessons, exploration... This is my favorite type of riding-- exploring new urban-ish spots looking for cool hits and foresty trail zones... Definitely adding my support to the idea of a series of "Stairsets of History with Sam Pilgrim"... doom IT!
Haha, left a comment saying how much I love France and then realised this was Belgium innit! Even so, I love and miss west Europe so this episode was a real treat. The mix of beautiful architecture, the history lesson and the cruising made for very satisfying viewing. I was wondering how many locals went down the boozer that night and shared notes on different sightings of a strange but friendly Brit caning all their steps of doom!
Realizing I'm just as interested in Sam the travel vlogger as the mtb vlogger. You drive 3 hours and you are in a completely different culture. I drive 3 hours and I'm still in Nebraska.
@@TallGuyTrails for example I can build an illegal mountainbike trail or to ride my bike on a ski slope, which is of coarse forbidden ) Or I can go to Altai mountains by car, around 400 km - and have fun in the couple of legal bike parks or on a freeride
Superbly epic video Sam, mad as a bag of spanners! If you haven't already been there, get along to Bristol...it's a city built on hills and has urban steps all over the place plus some epic urban riding areas.
Mix up a song, Called the "Stair set of doom". Using the sounds of all the stair sets you have done. Awesome video Sam. So fun watching you ride your bikes. Really dig the e-bike wheelie's.
Absolute Top notch quality content as always, learned some French a little bit of history and seen a hell a lot of stairs sent! Big Respect Sam! Absolute legend 👏🏼
Next time you're in Belgium you should also do Ferme Libert. A bikepark in Malmedy with some of the biggest jumps in the world. Nico Vink built half of the place. It's a 45 minute drive from the city center of Liege. It's the location of Loosefest...
Absolutely beautiful city! OMG.. actually looked it up and would love to go there as I see it's just south of Amsterdam. Go right through Europe from Amsterdam all the way down to Italy then come back to the US ✌️👍.. great video by the way ,stay safe.
Ever been to Roquebrune Cap Martin in the south of France? I was there on holiday and could only think: Sam Pilgrim would love this. It has massive stair sets of doom all the way down to the beach! Should definitely visit there if in the area for some ultimate doomage.
