  • I give my Yuri Hime Japanese Maple an early summer pruning - trimming to profile and thinning dense areas. I also take some cuttings in the hopes of propagating more. I'll be thrilled if even one cutting takes. I love and highly recommend this cultivar; it has tiny leaves and short internodes, ideal for small bonsai like my tree shown here.

Nice colours on that cultivar. I hope those cuttings work. I should find some pots like those.

Yes, I love the leaf color on this one. Keeping it in full sun has allowed the reddish margin to persist. I got the pot on Bonsai Outlet.

Very nice Yuri Hime JP, and good luck with your cuttings...those terrarium cups should to the trick with the rooting. Where can i get those?

Thank you. It's been a few weeks now and the leaves of the cuttings still look great, so the cups seem to do a good job keeping the humidity high. I got them on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/B08TM5GQVT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
