100%, replaceable batteries are a lost relic of yesteryear. Same with headphone jacks, SD card slots, CPU sockets on laptops, and others. It's always best to have separate components that can be replaced independently. That model is not profit friendly though, as companies make more money if you just throw away something and buy another than if you repair something and use it for longer.

I have a little Taotronics Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver thats basically like the device you showed at the beginning, I bought it because I wanted bluetooth but none of the bluetooth earbuds are of the style of earbuds that I can comfortably wear (in-ears hurt to wear for more then a few minutes) other then paying stupid money for Apples Airbuds, plus I can use cheap $20 earbuds with it.
@hightech-lowlife earbuds are easier to fall asleep wearing than over ear or on ear headphones and I like how compact and portable earbuds are my favorites where the Seinhieser MX365 but they've been discontinued, I had to settle for the apple earbuds as every other earbuds I tried sounded like crap now. I have a set of HD598's and a Fiio Alpen 2 DAC/AMP for proper listening sessions, been thinking about getting a Fiio BTR5 or BTR7 as an upgrade to the Taotronics Bluetooth unit.
Hey if that little bluetooth board can do aptx. I wonder if I can attach it to this old amp I got. I literally just tested it out after cleaning it up with a leaf blower and a bunch of rubbing alcohol with detail work. Its a Marantz 1060B with funny enough..speaker wires sticking out still. Its a very heavy bass amp yet I love it's soundstage. And since I only use headphones, iems, and wireless earbuds, I would definitely use this.
I'm not sure if it can, but since it's not advertised I would say no for APTX. Although there may be some boards that can do that, but most likely will be more expensive 👍Thanks!

I myself one day would definitely try out something similar to your detachable cable mod on some older keyboards and maybe some mice to usb c. I'm talking PS/2 connectors here! It's just that the older keyboard has media controls on it and I got it at a thrift store for $2. Used it for years until I got better income(not great income, but better than nothing) and got a Corsair K60. So changing the connector to usb c by using this spare usb c cable lying around would be awesome. And if I'm brave enough, I could try the soldering a female usb c connector. Might try it out on cheaper stuff like this to see if it works. P.S. If you've got $15 to $25 to burn and you ever wanted to try out some bluetooth earbuds. I would recommend the Tozo A1(very small and good to sleep with), Tozo T10(great bass and my favorites), or Tozo T6(uses micro usb but has a better mid sound) Great to try out and comes with good eartips. Only thing is quality control. They are the same chipset as the Edifiers which I used the TWS Pro 1(same exact thing as the Tozo T10)just Edifiers has better quality control or essentially it won't be a lottery to find out if one breaks. I've hadn't had issues with Tozo, but it does exist. Yet for this cheap, it was great holiday gifts for everyone and no issues. Just a quick thing to share. Hope you have an awesome day!

Thanks man! That sony unit is pretty cool, I do have some wired earbuds that came with my phone that work pretty well they are AKG. Most earbuds are very uncomfortable to me compared to headphones though and I don't think you can get the same sound quality, but they are much more convenient than wearing a giant thing on your head 🍻

LMAO to your disclaimer, yep... people are... well you already know lmao. awesome video, i was curious about doing something like this my self. my biggest question for this is, i personally want to do/try something like this with a true 7.1 headset that's USB-C(yes it has a bunch of driver's in the headset, asus rog theta 7.1 headset), but i've always been iffy with Bluetooth due to mainly it's bandwidth limitations and wasn't sure if it'd give the full audio output/quality/8 channels for it to work well with such a headset. i already know that the whole BT+Surround sound was always BS just from the it's limitations back in the day and there hasn't been a major improvement to any of that til version 5.1 i think it was but also some of that was codec specific for devices also. but i wasn't sure if you had tinkered with this at all. also, on that board with the better sound because of the amp, it probably really is the amp, i've tested many devices over 3.5mm, usb, wireless(dongle to dongle 2.4ghz) and BT and ALWAYS... BT was overall a lower volume output(about 80% of the volume or less) and couldn't drive things, i have thoughts on this, but maybe they're wrong but also never really looked into it as i don't use it often enough to care lol not to mention the amount of general issues i tend to experience with BT. for my phone i'd rather get a USB-C to 3.5mm jack over using BT unless for phone calls with ear buds lol but there is a convenience factor with the BT so it's why i tend to just use my earbuds more. but i guess a better way to put it. i'm aiming to make my 7.1 TRUE surround headset into a wireless one for gaming on my PC without ANY reduction on channels or quality.

You have these incredible mastering engineers trying to make the sound as good as possible just to have the vast majority of people listening to crazily compressed mp3 audio out of a mono 12mm speaker within a "cabinet" that is 5mm tall, just atrocious.
